Splatoon

I mean.

In Europe, Mayo is a condiment used for dipping fries into.

So, Pearl could win there, like she won in Japan.

The stupider the Splatfest, the more competitive it will be. And it's not called Mayo, it's called Aioli.

So, does anyone have any cool purchasing stories?

My little brother and I got to GameStop early. We were the first ones in line to enter, but because we stopped to see if they had any Splatoon 2 Amiibo's, 3 other guys got ahead of us.

One got Splatoon 2 (I think) and left.

The second guy got both a Cloud Amiibo, and a Player 2 Cloud Amiibo.

Upon hearing that that the second guy had gotten the last Player 1 Cloud Amiibo (I think) he left.

Then we got the game, I cursed at a guy who turned into my lane without using his directional/was WAYYYYYYYYY too close to me, and we played for hours.

I got to play the game at San Diego Comic Con and got a squid hat for wearing my Transformers Splatfest shirt, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting the game until I get back from my trip next week.

they might as well call the splatfests
what pearl likes vs what marina likes

I mean.

Pearl won the first Japanese Splatfest.

So, I don't see how Marina liking Ketchup is relevant.

Ketchup's gross tho. But so is mayo but that's mostly from my experience.

Practically you can mix mayo with anything. Ketchup is just one flavor.

So I spent all Sunday playing Salmon Run, so I'mma make a little guide based around the strategies I found/saw.
ABOVE ALL ELSE PAY ATTENTION TO MR.GRIZ. The game does a decent job training you for what's up head but for those who want to know more. Your give one of 4 weapons each round and the 4 set weapons change per day. The further you rank the harder it get (it start getting hard once you hit mid 'overachiever'). Knowing your rounds' weapon and specials 'rolls' will help alot. Like for example, if you have a charger or splatling gun, stick to the back and to high ground. But don't be afraid to charge forward to get out of/lead away danger or get power eggs. Don't be afraid to use your specials, you don't get a bonus for not using it, you get full ink, and unless if you have the stingray it can help you and your team out of a dangerous situation.

You get a ton of cash from bonuses and the polo you get constantly after getting all of your bonuses can net you 4000 if you don't like the ability of the new polo.
HIGH GROUND. I can't stress this enough, you'll have much easier time hitting the bomb. This boss is one of the few you can only kill a certain way, at certain point making him a time sink if you cann't finish him fast. And when like 3 of them spawn in later ranks really want to take them out fast. Chargers and mid range/ fast firing guns are recommended and if you're going to use a special anything but the bomb rush will work well enough. Stingray works the best do to piercing and fast damage rate, if you can time your splashdown right it can prove useful, and the Inkjet isn't to recommended but if you're low on ink and you have help the high ground helps a ton as well as not having to worry about the regular Salmons
This guy's not to bad as long as he's not chasing you. If you have the high ground and a suitable weapon he goes down pretty fast. Though if you are being chased and don't have high ground you can get cornered pretty easily. Climb walls to get away if you can. As if you try to go around him and try to take out the pilot quickly, he'll coil around you easily, splat you, and make him hard to hit through his inkshower. The biggest problem is that if you don't see him coming and he gets near the drop off the ink trail will be annoying to fix/traverse. But all and all this guy is one of the easiest bosses to deal with. Anything can take him down with ease but Inkjet is the preferred special if you need to use it
The easiest to avoid, but a nuisance to keep around. If you have a weapon that can transverse the map easily (brushes, dualies) it's your job to take him down. Rollers can take him out as they can plow throw the medium sized Salmons, but it'll be slow going compared to everything else (other than chargers). Or using the Stingray can also work if you want to use a special to help ease the work (just don't forget the power eggs if you can get to them). Sinse it hangs out around the edge of the map it's a pain to get it's eggs compared to other bosses.
Amongst the chaos of everything going around you Maw can sneak up on you easily. Throwing a bomb at is the best way to go about it, just be aware of your ink consumption. If you miss the bomb, either shoot it or dive into ink to get another bomb ready, it all depends on the situation. Honestly really strait forward.
The most common and most annoying. If you have two teammates attacking it directly hit the missile it shoots as two teammates should be more than enough to kill it and the ink rain mess people up more than they realize. You can try to reflect the missile back for an instant kill, but you have to aim the missile and if you miss you'll have to wait for him to fire again, and if you're in the later ranking you do not have time to wait around. Bad news is there really isn't a good special for this guy that I found yet.
Easily the most annoying. You have to wait around for him to open his silos, aim and throw a bomb in, and put up with all the other shit going on around you. If you have bomb rush do your team a favor and focus this guy down as when your dealing with 2 or 3 at a time they become the team ender (him and Steelhead).
Single player flooders with a weakpoint at the back and appear at night during high tide. If you're the one with a laser pointed at you you'll will not be able to hit the weak point. Run away, preferably where there's a strait away where your team can it the back, but preferably not over the grates. The large open spot where you start is probably preferable. Having a hard time hitting the spot? Try using the Stingray if you have it.
High tide only again. If you have the glowflies flying around you head to what little high ground there is. Near the deposit net or up the ramp opposite of the deposit net is your best bet. Hopefully your team will be smart enough to cover you until the flies choose another target and rinse and repeat the process until the end of the round.
Find the hidden glowfish, nother else matters. The unsought of enemies that come flooding out of the sewers mean very little. You're given so little time to gather a huge amount of eggs so focusing down the glowfish is priority number one. Don't forget to call out where the glowfish is if you find it. Brushes are fantastic for these rounds, not that you have a choice in that front.
Take out the cooler carriers as priority. They drop the power eggs one at a time and you're gonna need alot of them as well as stopping regular enemies from spawning. Having a charger/splatling gun user near the the dropoff is a good idea as they can hit alot of things from that position and protect the dropoff from the UFO from taking the eggs you've gathered (though you should protect it too).

Gross! Is this legit or has the world of Splatoon gotten darker, making Octolings literally UNPLAYABLE?

Octopi

You got starfish correct so I felt I had to.

So how much attention did you pay to the collected scrolls from Splatoon 1?

The world of Splatoon was already dark man. Y'know, since it takes place after humanity's extinction.

I wonder if Splatoon takes place after the age of Pikmin.

Now just give me back my .50 gal (Deco is optional) and all will be good.

Reminds me of the time I did the hand shake too hard.

Y'know I can see patches of white ink where some of the red ink is. Clearly someone is trying to make tartar sauce.

It's not blood, it's reddish-orange ink. Either way, I'm still going with my mayo rule. I don't care which OtH member I choose, as long as they make a good point.

Don't look at me.

Mayo was free for the most part whenever I played against them.

KNEW IT LMFAOOOOO

sooooooo good omg #teampearlimeanteammayoforlife

I'm not surprised. Whenever I was able to play we lost most of our matches and most of my games were against other ketchup players.

And dang it, why is it that whenever a Splatfest happens I'm barely home long enough to participate? I could have nothing happen for weeks on those days, then Splatfest happens and suddenly some outside force needs to drag me out of the house. The Switch being portable doesn't help when you can't connect outside or when a sibling hogs it :/

Also, I feel like I should have joined Mayo not for the win, but for Muppo-chan

sweet n sour is my fave
