The canon info thread - what we know

Well considering its Eliza who lead it...power she did it for power. She's chara artic so it's not unusual for her to lead a rebellion.

My question is how did Eliza fail? You think that her killing Aeon and Venus would result in her wining and ruling. She wouldn't be one to give up her postion of power, so who dethroned her? Why did she go into hiding and drinking blood off of charities?
idfk don't kill higher beings. It ends badly for you.

Whatever happened, Delilah was probably directly responsible for it.

I like to think that there was another rebellion sometime after Eliza took control. This rebellion may or may not have been Lead by Samson and Delilah. But that's my guess.

Made a small edit to the first post moving Beowulf and Robo-Fortune to Currently Playable Characters. Thought I already did this a while ago but I guess I didn't lol.

Also removed some entries that are already confirmed in the story modes and official bios since (Beowulf's age, relationship with Annie, Robo's creator, etc.)

Some new details we've learned from Mobile. Putting everything in spoiler tags for those who haven't gotten to play it yet:
  • Cerebella was a survivor of the war before being taken in by the Medicis, and bears a grudge against the Canopy Kingdom.
  • After being captured in the war, Panzerfaust was forcibly indoctrinated with Canopy propaganda films, as well as operated on in some unknown way. He's surprisingly okay with this outcome though.
  • Parasoul had no idea just how bad the Canopy's war crimes were, expressing shock and outrage when Panzerfaust tells her about the above. Her bronze title is 'Sheltered', suggesting there's a lot she still doesn't know about the outside world.
  • Ms. Fortune used to wear pants, that presumably got sliced up with her. (This might've been obvious to everyone else, but it totally went over my head until being spelled out here.)

Panzerfaust sexually identifies as a combat vehicle. The Canopy Kingdom just supports his lifestyle
Gotta main him when he comes out for SGX.

@missingno
I think Ms. Fortune cut her pants up herself after getting sliced. The part of her pants covering her groin is cut up in a higher position than her top leg cuts, and her pants don't look like they would go down to her ankles if they were put together again.

"Peacock's planned romance is Leduc" Never in my life have I wanted a sequel to happen so bad after just reading one fucking line. They would be cute as hell together<3

Somehow the words "Peacock" and "Romance" don't seem to click to terribly well in my head. (Do note I'm not trying to start something, just saying) If any characters are going to get romance plots in a sequel the most likely candidates are (in no particular order and in my own opinion) Filia, Cerebella, Painwheel, Parasoul, and then any of the others at varying intervals save for Valentine, Eliza, and Double. Not saying it can't be done, in fact I think it can be done if properly crafted and executed in a way that doesn't drag on, but it needs to be done just right to be successful and not a "Whoa, what the hell was that about" sorta thing. So yeah, something right up Lab 0's ally.

(I really need to stop watching Zero Punctuation just before commenting, my brain's stuck in Yahtzee mode now and every thing I type sounds like one of his reviews in my head.)

Nah I could see her being in a relationship with a calm level-headed guy like Leduc, she'd just have a lot of tsundere moments and shit lol. I mostly want this to happen cuz he'd bring out her adorable caring side more often haha:PUN: I could see either her or Fortune being in a relationship way more than any of the characters you named, just saying

A fair enough point. I did say it was just my opinion after all.

save for Valentine, Eliza, and Double.
Eliza totally has the hots for that badass rebel Samson. ;)

But really, depends on if Peacock will ever actually grow up... regardless of the imaginary friends thing since hers are half-real.

Wait, when did they say that?

Well, the mobile game updated once more, and this time it gives us a new slice of the story mode: Character Orgin Stories! It starts with Peacock (since she is the character everyone gets when they start the game) and gives us some more concrete details on how she came into the WMD we know today
  • ASG Labs raided a Medici warehouse filled with their kidnaped victims and refugees. Big Band, Brain Drain, and Last Hope were all involved.
  • After saving everyone, Big Band notices a weak child huddled up in a bloody cloak being taken care of by Valentine. This turns out to be Patricia, who is more than ready to join the labs to get revenge if she lives to get the chance.
  • She is outfitted with both the Argus system and the Avery Units during her surgery.
  • Tommy 10 tons appears when Big Band is checking on her, making him the original member of Peacock's gang. Big Band is, of course, surprised. Andy soon follows into existence and both try to beat BB up for disturbing Peacock's cartoon binge.
  • Some time later, Peacock breaks out of the labs and goes on a little rampage through Maplecrest. Not hunting down Medicis but having fun with her new cartoonish powers to take a breath of fresh air after being locked up in the labs. Big Band tracks her down and returns her to the lab after a heart to heart.

Also Im gonna fill in some sports that missingno missed.

  • The reason the Lorenzo Medici wants the Life Gem back so bad is because it grants him Skullgirl immunity. He laughed in Marie's face when she realized her powers had no affect on him and she got a gunshot to the face from black Dahalia.
  • Cerebella's home was ravaged and presumably wiped out by the Canopy Kingdom under Parasoul's father's reign.

Oh whoops... I completely forgot to drop the lores from the last few months. Oopsies! Going to remedy that with Big Band and Painwheel's stories.

16 years ago, Ben Birdland discovered a spot where the Medicis were hosting a gambling ring. Reporting it to his boss, the sarge, he requested to be part of the bust the sarge had planed but was told to standby. But no one tells Ben what to do and goes anyway. staking them out before being discovered and planting some fists into faces. That is before Sarge and his boys show up to give Ben a good old beatdown, sense that gambling ring was under his jurisdiction and he was on the Medici Payroll. Left for dead, he was taken to a hospital by Irvin where Dr. Avian discovers them. He offers help out and takes him into the ASG labs for treatment.

After getting used to his new body and weapons, Ben now reborn as Big Band goes to finish what he started, this time packing in a lot more lethal force and with revenge on his mind. He raids Medici tower, where Sarge moved his operation to, but is unable to get the corrupt captain as he slips away. Knowing that he can't go back to the police force in his state (as well as being marked by the Medicis, he and Irvin part ways As he officially joins the ASG Labs as a vigilante of Jazz and Justice.

...Oh and the Sarge got away? Brutally murdered on Lorenzo's orders for his screw ups.

6 Months Ago (wow, so Carol only has been PW not even a full year yet.) Valentine finally finds a match for Brain Drain's progress and instantly starts her training. PW is mad groggy and really didn't sign any papers for "save the world or some shit" so she spends her time wanting to escape and yelling at Valentine. Val insists PW stop being so selfish and just accept her new fate as a ASG Weapon before going to talk with Brain Drain, who wants to send her on a test run.

...that test run being at a medici owned facility where she cuts loose and makes a bloody mess of everything. Inside her own mind though she feels a budding conscience fighting against the mind control but still complies until her task is complete. Valentine congratulates her on the job well done but PW still wants out. Val then casually drops that the Medicis are the ones who stole Carol away from home originally (!!!) and ASG basically stole her from her abductors. PW doesn't care about any of that and Val with a disappointed sigh lets her do whatever. So Painwheel makes her way back home to MapleCrest

A Very alarmed and cranky Brain Drain is wondering where his new shiny weapon wandered off too before Val mentions she let her go, saying she's testing PW herself. PW roams the streets, feeling nostalgic and peaceful but still looking like she waled right out of a rated R Halloween movie, and is mocked by some passersbies and avoided altogether by others. She actually gets to her house before realizing that her parents probably wont even recognize her and tries to take off her mask. However, Brain Drain interrupts and does the mind control thing once again, calling her back to the labs. Her final thoughts are of her Mom and Dad before slinking into the shadows.

II'll be honest: I thought Patty was Halloween for the longest time.

Cerebella's real name is Cassandra Veranos.

Scribble Cat was drawn in a frame of Lock N Load by Mariel; Mike animated it (this is very important canon).

The physical manual inside the limited-edition case. It just has trivia bits at the end.

Well, its that time again; patch dropped last week so its time for some lore, this time with Valentine! Going to be posting about the whole campaign so no peeking if you want to play yourself!

The mobile story begins with Last Hope securing refugees in a raid, the very same raid where lab 8 picked up Peacock. Val seems to have a rep of being an "overachiever" when it comes to her job, and also seemingly trying to take the role of leader for herself one day. She is great at what she does though, and the raid goes off without a hitch; save for one small detail. Valentine spots Carol among the refugees (?!) and realizes that her blood has everything Brain Drain was looking for. Valentine is a bit uncomfortable with snatching up someone so young for BD's big project, but he convinces her to go through with it, saying that Carol's blood type is too rare to find another chance and that time was already working against them.As the refugees are being rounded up underneath the Medici noses, Big Band and his crew begin their part and clean house.

Skip back to the present, Valentine shows up late to sparring practice and Christmas has everyone take her own back to back. Val beats Easter, Patty and Hallow easily (though Hallow seemed really sad she didn't get to see the "sexy side effects" of her new "treats") and is about to fight Christmas when the alarm blares. Marie had been spotted in No Man's Land! As they approach, Christmas noticed that one person was missing from their initial scans of the area. Upon hearing this, Val suggest a direct sneak attack on Marie to get the job done before she goes to strong; Christmas on the other hand suggests they stand by for the ASG soldiers to back them up before engaging. As the two start bickering with each other Double sneaks up on them disguised as one of their own and they are forced to fight immediately. Hallow is the first to go down, with Hallow handing Val her syringes before passing on. Easter manages to subdue Double for a moment but by then, Marie herself has arrived and starts swarming them with the undead. Patty and Easter go out fighting a Gigan's skeleton assault while Christmas order Val to take out Marie while she's fighting double, as Val is quite literally their last hope as the best member on the team. She is defeated though, and before Double can give Val the killing blow, Marie strikes up a deal. Double is pretty PO'd about this but Marie comments that the fact that she was found so swiftly means that the technology ASG has is extremely dangerous and needs to be destroyed if she's going to be anywhere near the city. Valentine grudgingly accepts and becomes the servant to the Skullgirl, and that's the end of that story.

Also, bonus for this new piece of art we got from the story

I always wondered why Marie attacked Lab 8 since it seem off for someone obsessed with destroying the mafia to the point of Satan being annoyed at her and now I know. Last Hope put them on her radar.

Also I just realized the event in the the first chapter of Val's story confirms what she said to Painwheel in their story; the Medicis were definitely the ones who kidnapped her, and Valentine simply submitted her to Brain Drain instead of setting her free. And here I thought he may have been lying before...

But what the heck did the Medicis want with Carol? And why does it seem more and more likely Filia did something awful?

I think I had commented this before in a different thread. My theory is that Filia was some sort of bully at school -considering her power and influence in the Medici mafia, she could humillate and attack anyone at school at will. Carol was part of her sequit, but apparently she did something wrong that made Filia mad, so in revenge, Filia suggested her grandphater Lorenzo to kidnap her and sell her as a slave. Then some time later, when Filia discovered Carol's fate, she felt so much guilt that she asked for Samson's help to make her get amnesia and become a homeless nomad, far away from her past and the Medici mafia.

But, again, it's just a theory I have.

Big Band...
... is not a band.

HOOOOOOLY SHIT that's one cool ass umbrella design.

So...this is the skullgirl that unified the world...

Of course she would have Death...i guess that leaves king Renoir with Pestilence

Oh that might be it... but wait...am I getting my horsemen mixed up or are there more than 4?

War, Famine, Death and....oh I guess it is Conquest. I thought there was one over Diseases?

EDIT: Well according to Wikipedia Conquest and Pestilence can be swapped out so I guess it could be either or. Conquest seems to fit most tho.

It has been a point of debate but it basically boils down to an error in interpretation.
