Marvel vs Capcom Infinite

We already knew there werent any arcade endings. There's a big ass story mode, remember?

EDIT: Do Arcde Modes even need endings? is that a thing? I dont remember any outcry when SCV didnt have any.

Blazblue, Mortal Kombat, Tekken (with the extra files feature), ALL of them offers both story AND arcade endings. i think Guilty gear also has it.

It's a gaming charging extra for below-the-average content.

It's the first time I've ever seen people mad over no arcade endings. Especially since so many games dont have them. Kind of bizzare to nitpick on but whatevs.

I was pretty irritated over the fact they changed the endings for UMvC3, as some of the changes was crap or left out a seriously good joke.

did marvel 3 even have any good arcade ending besides like
Shuma's and Jen's

I genuinely don't remember any other worth a damn

uh

wolverine bangs morrigan
frank goes through a portal to get bodied to hell and back
Dormammu originally in vanilla gets a group of Capcom villains to help him take over the multiverse but Ultimate flubbed it by showing more Capcom villains but then just making it to where they tell him to fuck off
and deadpool destroys a city

IIRC they were like...2 comic book style pages of ending.

Ghost Rider gets Dante to threaten Mephisto about the contract, Tron gets a Sentinel as member of her army, Nemesis gets a FULLADAMANTIUM UPGRADE, stuff like that.

...huh, why do I remember all these but never thought of them till just now?

I loved Tron's ending in MvC3, but the ending in UMvC3 was edited so hard, it lost the humor =\

Well Funko revealed they are putting out a line dedicated to MVCI, which reveals some new outfits that may be coming in the future.

Arcade Mode endings give you a reason to play through from beginning to end as a character, to try them out, to connect to them, and see how their story COULD end, or even get information about them if something about them is an enigma.
Plus, some of the IDEAS presented in Arcade Mode endings can be fantastic or even lead up to something in the sequel

I mean X-23 waking up old man Logan in his bathrobe got some laughs out of me.

To be fair, Marvel 2 didn't have endings either. And if there's a Story Mode, it makes sense that the story is over there.

I feel dirty saying anything that remotely resembles defending this game, gonna go rinse my mouth out with soap now.

Soul Calibur V made the same excuse.
All the story was in the "Story Mode", no arcade mode endings.
And this bit them in the ass because they had all these new characters that were BARELY ni the story mode, so we didn't get to know much about them, woulda been perfect to put some background or information about them in Arcade Mode endings, but they didn't.
Was actually a deal breaker to me.

I'm still honestly amazed that they weren't allowed to expand the story in SCV through DLC considering Namco made them make the whole game in around 10 months

Yeah, only about 20% of SCVs story was in the story mode; everything else was shoved into the art book so huge details are absent in the game. :L

I thought the entire point was that Namco didn't give a fuck about SC anymore, why let them spend more time and money on it?

Does anybody know if that collector's edition infinity stone picture is legit?

We don't know yet but its the only image of them IRL we have so far so i'd be safe to say it seems real.

Also on another note I'm pretty excited for that chun costume and for whenever they show off that Gamora costume that is confirmed cuz of the Funko pops

That's really disappointing if that's the case.

It was also marvel 2 biggest flaw, and made the game really dry for the non competitive audience.

On the dreamcast you at least had some unlockables, but in the ps3 version, nothing to do offline

I like how the first chain just makes him teleport out of the corner for no reason. Quality game.

You can't Tiger Knee air specials? What the fuck? And I know as SG players we're all spoiled when it comes to fighting game UI but there is no fucking excuse to have the same problems from SFV that everyone has been complaining about for a year and a half.

It's almost as if this game is rushed, unfinished, and overall lacking

I'll be the hopeless optimist here (what the fuck) and say that I hope the game doesn't get dropped like a hot coal like UMvC3 did in terms of support and that they're able to actually patch it into a better game

I doubt it'll be a good game but like
solid kusoge instead of just kuso

Well the game plan here, so im told, is to build this game to be a platform, so support is already a given. I can already smell extra DLC packs miles away from here so stuff gameplay patches should be there as well.

...I wonder if they would go a route like tekken 7 and have the HUG changable, but via dlc or a later patch. I doubt it, but, ehh.

Like KoF 14, with a big "graphic overhaul" update?

Ghost Rider infinite already patched out of the game. So much for infinite chains.

Hopefully they'll keep this up instead of waiting for next game to fix whatever will be the equivalent of DHC glitch.
