Blazblue Cross Tag Battle.

i guess. I'm still hard on the fence with RWBY's voices being in the game. I know they're from the show and everything but it doesn't feel like it fits exactly in a fighter. idk. :S
 
THe reason why the RWBY voices are sounding so weird is because the Japanese peeps are the ones directing them. "Blay-Bloo" is the big giveway.

Remember the boring narrator guy from Tekken 7 story mode? Some directions in japan do not....work well in English.

In other news, We got asshole terumi in, which is great, I noticed that Rachel doesnt have her pillar gimmick and she seems to be using lightning immediately after the projectiles, which is neat. Might make her a bit easier to play as, seeing a she is one of the more technical characters of the cast.

And then we have Weiss. Weiss looks nice. Really nice. Weiss/Rachel team up is finally going to be a thing, and I REALLY hope Rachel has a Weiss palette.

At least we get one scumbag from Blazblue. I'd love if we got Terumi too.
At last one scumbag per franchise, please. (Adachi and Roman with Neo assist next?)

I don't get how this is possible. How can one receive voice direction from someone they can't understand?

(single voice line per move is still annoying in BlazBlue though)

YES. Why, why why won't they merge the voicesets? I can understand HW limitations for CT/CS, but how come they still won't do it even for their latest games?

There was one of Ruby's voicelines in that first gameplay video we saw that struck me as having not quite right emphasis (enunciation? Tone?). But also that it was always that one voiceclip, and that gets annoying pretty fast (Optic barrel! Optic barrel! Optic barrel!), it's easier in Japanese where I can't understand it.

I seem to have a higher-than-average tolerance for high-pitched voices, but I do have a certain standard for voices (Nazuna in Arcana Heart grates on my ears).

It's Adachi's OG voice.

It's a bit different for the battle lines, but all his conversation sounds exactly like Adachi!

With Chei my theory that we're only getting P4 chars seems a lot stronger...Hoping we at least get Labrys and/or some version of Sho (maybe a balanced version of his awakened form?). I was hoping for Aigis and Junpei but ah well.

Aegis was in P4A as well. Since Junpei is in Ultimax I don't know about his chances.
 
Its funny, one of my earliest exposures to UNIEL period was watching a match Jourdal put up where this big fucker used this infinite to time someone out. he did like 70 or so reps in the corner XD

EDIT: we got Gameplay of Hazama and Rachel inbound!


  • Rachel's twirling assist looks insane.
  • Hazama seems to be based more on the CS unlimited, complete with the non distortion Kick and stanceless "Fang" attacks.
  • MUTLIPLE GEORGE XII
  • Rachel still has wind powers and lightning rods
  • They did something halfway through the video that basically activate SOUL SURGE from MVCI for a short period. Animation looks like Overdrive.
  • Resonance Blaze freezes time
  • GEORGE XII APOCALYPSE
  • Ragna seems to steadily regen health while in Blaze mode, which stacks on top of the regen he already gets with his drive moves
  • Ragna has access to his Dead Spike chain combo from his unlimited form at the cost of meter.(Dead Spike > Hell's Fang Follow Up > Exceed Accel)

Also, as fun as Hotenjin on tap sounds, why stanceless Fangs? It's more fun to keep them guessing (and to just super throw them once you've programmed them not to jump).

I know I just mean that we've gotten a few chars now and none have been from P3 at all. I could see them just putting in P4 chars to keep things simple.
 
So there is this survey, it's probably meant for people who have played the game, that people can take. At the end of the survey it has two spots for who from the current 4 series do you want, and then a second spot for who you want from another game.

Idk if people who haven't played it should do it (though it has a "not played" option. I'll leave it here anyway:

It is weird, it has a "where have you played?" with the answer "not playing" and then the next two required questions assume you played the game (especially the second one).

A later question about the fun lists a few options in descending order with the last one being "looks interesting" outside the order of the rest.

Edit: Waaait... the questions about fun are for specific game mechanics that you might not have used. Still odd.

Yeah that's why I kinda feel bad if I did the survey, cause they still kinda expected you to play the game...but I really wanna tell them who I want :P

Real talk. Arc system works did the sprites for extreme butoden, arc systems is doing dragon ball fighterz....

Goku for Blazblue CTB anyone? KAMEHAMEHA ASSIST ANYONE?
 
I think another ASW character would make it in before anyone from DBZ, especially since Team Red is already tied up doing DBF. Besides, he already has Kamehameha as his assist in DBF.

This entire premise is a bit far fetched. Of someone told me this would be a game 4 years ago I would have died laughing.

This concept is really silly anyway. Like RWBY is just weird to have.

I personally have a wish list of characters I would want to see in this game. I'm not too exciting for the 4 series because they will all most likely be super predictable pics.

personally if there is one character I truly want, it's Ryuko from Kill La Kill. That's the character I want the most (Most because I am pissed off that Little Witch Academia got any game content and KLK didn't. Even if she isn't in a video game, I'll still vote for her.) I would have said Kat from Gravity Rush, but nintendo switch version killed her chances completely.

But the way I see it, they'll probably focus on games they've most likely published or made.

I can see this game having Hokuto no Ken, Skullgirls, Arcana Heart, etc characters. (If they can get the rights to them obviously).

I've been waiting for Yukiko, she's one of the most fun functions I've played.
