Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

I was able to block it once, but then it lasered me again.
I was able to block a few times (not in succession), but clearly my strategy was mistaken. Once my body recovers from the nervous breakdown the game gave me I might try it one more time to see if I change my mind.

I mean, I bounced hard off Dark Souls the first time I played that, and I've since gone on to do 2 all bosses runs of it, 3 of DS3, and 2 of Bloodborne. Maybe a sober second look will work for me.

Love the latest build (although I've been finding quite a few bugs) but PLEASE do not keep that "You cannot pause during battle" thing. Inconvenient stuff like that for no reason is kinda irritating.

I'm just now realizing something. it seems like there is a limit on how far you can hit the enemies. I lured an enemy to one end of a corridor then tried hitting him as far as i could. When you get to a certain distance they don't go anywhere not even with Tungar's level 1. No more home run contest. :(

I don't know if somebody already post this but if you kill ( must be the last hit ) any Cat's lives at the top of the screen the battle ends and all stats are reset except Cat's lives.

yeah i think someone had that happen to them. it's odd...

but hey since it's scribble cat i don't think many are complaining.

Yeah, the bad thing is that normally I save the Iddri bar to do a special attack in the others Cat's live but this bug ( if happens ) makes that not possible.

Yeah, it's locked at a distance. You can still knock em off ledges, but it's not very common. Also if your party mates are popped off, they are returned without issue.

Yeah, I mentioned it happening to me somewhere.

Um, you cannot pause during enemy attacks. That's the restriction.

That's actually pretty funny to see. I would appreciate it if being knocked off ledges was a thing where the ally returns from the top of the screen and had a response.

I'll admit, it's needless extra voice work but God it'd be hilarious.

G&H:"How'd I get back this fast? Science!"

Dhar:"My earth-shifting technique happens to cover the subject of cliffs."

Tungar:"I'm back. How!? RUBBER TREE!"

Razmi:"Don't worry, I returned to save all my bestest friends! *Cringes and mouths "FUCK!!!"* .....Ok maybe not that one.

In terms of voice work, it could use the same lines as being revived(if there is one) as the action of "getting back up". If they went the extra mile for what you're suggesting that would be amazing.

It's good that the characters can warp back in after getting knocked off this time. That makes a lot more sense.

I wouldn't mind if it took a few extra moments for it to happen though. You know, like Mario Kart style. I always liked the idea of knockoffs having some extra risks aside from what happens to Ajna.

I bet some of these more awkward battle formations are going to look crazy once we start playing with larger characters like Phoebe. Set Phoebe to bottom position, get attacked on a tight ledge or against a wall, and now all you see is Phoebe! That'll be fun.

so I've beaten the backer demo 2 times already and I can't seem to figure out how to get the super run D: I don't want to look it up via video cause I wanna figure it out myself but it is starting to bug me Q_Q I get about 87%~ clear rate and found one of the hidden bosses but know I'm still missing a lot (couldn't find Tungar either if he's even in it). Any hints yall can drop?

You've acquired the super run twice, it's just like the prototype.

Dude.... it's impossible to miss......if you beat
The Navar Sorcerer
at the end you got it. Unless you need to
beat the Manote and get Helm-breaker
first, in which case i am mistaken.

You don't. I beat the last boss first my first go around.

Uhhh, he must have missed the dash button then....
To be fair, if you never played the prototype and didn't realize you have to hold it I can see it.

I didn't even know I got hell breaker when I got it, ha.

It still shows you use it at the end though.

Remember, Helm Breaker can only be users after you get the Super Dash. But yeah, anytime you beat the Backer's boss, you have the Super Dash. This time, you need to enter a dash state long enough to trigger instead of the basic run.

it showed me using it which is what confused me. I didnt know if it was NG+ use or what. I didn't realize you have to hold the button though :/ Lesson learned lol

Or do the double tap dash and keep going forward, that works too.

NG+
Speaking of, any chance of getting NG+ for the preview? I'd love to stampede through it with everything unlocked.

If you beat the boss that is. If you don't beat the boss, then she just kind of awkwardly dashes away, which is pretty funny.

just dawn on me but
was that Wizard Z?

So, was able to finally get past that axe jump that I had trouble with, to get 100%. (yay!)

Something I noticed: If you block then dash to move a pixel, then jump, you retain forward momentum needed to stick the axe. Block-dashing seems generally nifty if you have trouble with precision, since it lets you increment smidge-by-smidge.

Honestly, it could've been. Man has far more range than most are aware of, those that watch the Annual Alundrathons know this. Really crossing my fingers that he does Latigo or one of his story NPCs.

While we're on the subject, I'd kinda like to clarify something. Now I don't mean to be a snooty terminology lawyer or anything, but since we know from the Lore thread that Ravanavar's political organization is known as "The Navar State" and we also know that the helmeted goons and wizard are currently set to appear in his fortress, I have elected to call the current final boss of the beta a, or The, "Navar Sorcerer" mainly because it's the most accurate thing we can call him without an official confirmation. There are a lot of other-second-words you can use but i feel like Sorcerer rolls off the tongue the best. Now obviously you can just ignore all of this and call him Gandalf Fartsmeller Jr for all i care, i'm just making a bit of a proposal.

TL;DR: I call the Backer Beta final boss The Navar Sorcerer for lore accuracy, you guys can call him whatever.

There is a possibility he's voicing the backer preview boss. I was suspecting him from start but it's really hard to tell since Mike is suprisingly good at this.

I just found... An excellent bug. I'm gonna... see if I can get a really fast time, and then report it, I guess. I'll admit, I kinda just wanted to cheat at the speedrun contest with it, and not report but...

Edit: Reported. There's probably a way to get a fast time, but I couldn't find it. Will keep looking I suppose, just for fun.
