Whew, glad they are owning up. Monster Hunter World Beta worked far better than this hitting X on the title screen for 30 minutes crap. Kinda pathetic. I wonder how long they are thinking about extending it.
 
I managed to get in a while ago but haven't found any matches. Aside from sitting around on my computer while waiting, I've mostly just been using the tutorial fights to try comboing with Krillin's c.S launcher.

I've been using c.M -> c.Ki -> Chase instead of using c.H as it feels fun. Def a good pick for Goku as he aims at an upwards angle with his ki pop
 
yeah there is a bit more depth than what most people are saying

also i like to note that yes you can do 7 autocombos to get the dragon balls but also you can just do a combo with 1 dynamic smash in it. which is 2.H in the air.

the same goes for summoning Shenron. you just need a dynamic smash and 7 bars. you don't need to do the auto light combo.
 
Still getting a Failed to Initialize Network error in the beta. Hope it fixes soon, Some people can still get in game tho apparently.
 
Huh, that would explain something in my couple matches. I was playing Adult Gohan and got what seemed to be a regular dash with Superdash. It was probably in the air. I was thinking it was something weird that had to do with Potential Unlocked.

I also did a bit of testing in tutorial for movement options besides the standard ones. Krillin's air L Afterimage (feint) is almost a double-jump backwards, and Young Gohan's d.S/2S in the air moves him back a bit (I also really like how that move looks). I'm wondering how Ki Blast air stalls will impact the neutral too.

I'm actually getting seriously irritated at the game not doing anything I'm putting in, along with shit that it wants to do. Like it keeps throwing a super when I told it to dash, never switching out when I do f+tag or even hold+tag. it's annoying me to no end

edit: I just lost a match cause it didn't read Distructo Disc. I put in QCF+R1 and all it did was R1, taking a shot to the face and loosing.

Does anyone know if the beta on Xbone works now?
 
The macros maybe have a bit of trouble (I've never tried the macros for super, I press LM or HS manually), but I am really noticing the tag buttons. Aside from some possible finickiness with the tap and hold registers, the Quick Tag command reminds me of why someone made a video on inputs and cited BlazBlue as needlessly hard because of command normals.

Between switching sides and getting Quick Tag or assist when I didn't want it (trying to tag out to Krillin against Beerus is an experience), and outright failing to get anything at times in the few matches I've played, I think it needs a change.

Edit: Though part of it seems to be that tag-outs just aren't invincible.

I am really feeling the delay-based netcode.

And I should stop trying to use Dragon Rush, ever, because it loses to everything that isn't tilted blocking.
 
I love how my team looks XD Beerus is such a cool and laid back dude. I love playing him and makes be feel all cocky cause of his stance and style of walking XD

The auto combos are fucking cancer.

This. I hate that they're on every button, can automatically happen after dusts and dragon dashes, and can finish your chains for you even if you try to start your own combo (with c.S). I hope we have intricate control over what the game will and won't do for us, because even though it is convenient in some situations (such as when you pressed the wrong button and would have dropped the combo otherwise), it makes me feel like an disgusting casual and it would feel more vindicating playing with the feeling of really doing your own combos without any help.

In spite of all this it is a very good training wheel to basically show you what types of chains and cancels are possible though, especially if your chosen character's gatling rules are ass-backwards, and I will admit to having turned on Stylish Type in Blazblue a few times explicitly for this purpose.

They have unique moves and affect the neutral with whiff-cancels, the game is apparently pressed for buttons already (just give me the two possible unused macros for tagging please), and I guess I've just practiced a few Ramlethal combos because her PK combinations are like that.

I do get accidental auto-comboing sometimes, but it results in less damage and I can tell I've dropped the combo, so I think of it the same way as dropping a combo normally.
 
it's not just that, it sometimes uses a super when i don't want too =\ I'd rather drop the combo than get a "mashout". It sometimes even finishes a combo when I was just getting started. Drives me nuts.. Also I can't seem to get the "DHC" mid combo thing. I can do it with a Hyper -> Hyper, but I can't get Air Combo -> (Switched!) Hyper

I've been trying to do that with Krillin's Kamehameha but I can't get 18 to jump out.. she sometimes tags in but not for a super =\

yeah alot of people forget that it's half circle and complain that the mechanic doesn't work. I legit have a note sheet with copy/paste responses for a ton of common questions. ;v;
 
I was going to go try it out but seems they've canned the beta till later. They did say they might do 1 more run.

Dissidia NT comes out a week after MonHun World + Dragon Ball Fighter Z, and Digimon Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory comes out in 3 days.
If it's any consolation, the only games that come out in Feb are Shadow of the Colossus Redux, and Under Night in-Birth EX Late(st)

Actually, since I was testing whether it really was a quarter-circle or half-circle (since Maximillian seems to be under the impression that it's a quarter-circle) I just did it off of standing Mediums and Heavies. Confirmed half-circle.

Not wanting auto-combos to end in supers is a point I hadn't thought of.
 
oh i thought having to cancel from a special move was the requirement. okay....

gonna have to review that over in the notes...
