Doesn't everyone love Sonic? - The Sonic the Hedgehog thread.

That's great, but we need a Space Channel 5 skin.

A first look at gameplay of Sonic Forces' Episode Shadow add-on! A prequel to the main storyline of Sonic Forces, this add-on content explores Shadow's allegiance, the fate of Team Dark, and the origin of the mysterious villain, Infinite.

Heroes/StH story continuation hype!

I kinda like how the casino part of the level is sorta Moscowy, but that's about it. Like the level splicing idea is neat, just hasn't wowed me thus far (still a step up from Green Hill but dusty).
Also really not in to the music. Like it has it's moments, like starting around 0:55 to 1:20 sounds pretty good, but everything else sounds like it's trying to be 3 different songs at once. Here's hoping that modern/oc mixes sound better.

now they're just splicing level themes together

TBH a ton of levels and themes sound like like a game of darts on a newspaper wall. Oil Ocean, Lava Reef, Radical Train...But that's just me. I think its part of the charm.

Full version of "Fist Bump" is now out

By the way, for those who might not know, Ian Flynn was working on a comic for Forces that's been being released periodically for about a couple of weeks for hype sake. There are 3 comics of this post, covering the events before/during Forces. The first being that of a resistance member working with the Chaotix, the second being that of Silver trying to warn Knuckles, and the third one being of team Dark infiltrating Eggman's base.

Although arguably this is moot as everything as been leaked due some places 'giving away' it along side Odyssey a full week and half before the actual date.

Game's out!
I'm enjoying it for what it is so far, first time I've played a post-Adventure Sonic game besides Lost World.
It's alright, it's not terrible, but I can see how people wouldn't like it (the story taking itself way too seriously, the ocs, etc)
The only complaint I have so far is that both the story and stages feel like they go by at 400 miles per hour.
A stage could last only 2 minutes, tops, and there's no two acts.
And not only that, but the story keeps getting faster and faster.
To the point I'm already 12 stages in after only an hour, and 1/6 of the main villains has already exited, stage left (Zavok)

So I heard there's this new meme called "Ugandan Knuckles" which is basically a deformed version of Knuckles. But I think it's Sonic's equivalent of Russian Elizabeth from GinTama. Here's what RE looks like:
195

Ugandan Knuckles is a stale, shitty, unfunny meme that was funny for all of 3 days before it died due to people Parroting it non-stop with absolutely no variation. Also potentially offensive.
All it served was to stifle creativity in VRChat and make it less fun for everyone involved. It's a tasteless, disruptive meme.

Variants that are by themselves, however, are funny.

vroom vroom time soon

It's by Sumo Digital. We got a bangin anthropomorphic kart racer on our hands

You know I at first I was kinda bummed about it just being Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing minus the All-Stars, but Sega might get me to change my mind. We can see that Tails, Knuckles and Sonic are using their All-Stars carts, which is understandable, kinda lazy but understandable, and if we assume the same goes for Eggman and Metal that's 6 recycled characters/carts in total (Shadow's is just a reskin of Sonic's), which might be a bad sign. BUT, what I'm hoping this means that more design time went into the tracks and the overall number of characters. Like if we get a Sonic racing game that consists of the core cast of like 8 or so characters that be lame. But if they do include some of the more off the wall characters like Big, Silver, Blaze, Team Chaotix, and even the classics like Mighty, Ray, Fang, Bark, and Bean; that'd be sweet. But if it is just the core cast that'll be a pretty low blow considering that Transformed had things like Gilius, Vyse, and classic Gum with her thigh tattoo. Also calling it now Sticks is gonna be a playable character.

That'd be neat, but considering how much of improbability that is I don't think so. Because
1. That would be a conflict of interested with Sonic in Smash (if he's not in Smash 5 along with any Sega character then maybe)
2. They'd have to compete with Smash 5
3. Why not both be crossover games, I mean that's what Mario Kart is at this point.

I'd recommend PC honestly just for mod support, and as far as I can tell the trophies only go to silver sooo between the PS and Switch, Switch.
