I want to use this thread to gather feedback and for people to suggest changes. I hardly got any feedback on the old guide, with some things just floating around all the place on Discord, so I decided to make a designated spot for these things instead.

There is a Feedback page in the guide itself to help give an idea of what I'm looking for with feedback.

Things I'm really looking for:
  • Video clips - Preferably Youtube or Streamable videos (with a REGISTERED ACCOUNT so they don't disappear after a week). Discord videos can't be used. Twitter videos are at the mercy of the user getting locked/banned/deleted so I want to avoid them if possible.
  • Pros/Cons in the character sections - There's probably a bunch of important things to note that I did not list because I don't play these characters. Let me know of these important things.
  • Synergy ratings - The initial synergy tier list discussions died off pretty fast and there was no real cross-character discussions (EX: Some Beowulf players thought he was a better partner than some lists gave him credit for). I'll link the spreadsheet of the Synergy Chart below, so post here and discuss if there are some ratings you highly disagree with.
  • Duo Assessments - I feel pretty good about what points I used to determine if a duo was good or incomplete, but these were all just my own opinions. If you think I was really unfair or even too forgiving of a duo, let me know.

Big Band: Best assists in the game, best damage output in the game, only con is no safe dhc from band but it hardly matters
Double: Best assists in the game, great damage output, has safe dhc
Most pw players use those two in some capacity.
Robo: Great neutral assist, anti meta, works great against meta assists, safe(ish) dhc, easy to tag out of
Annie: great dhcs for high damage, all her assists are amazing, she's like a little band.
Para: Good projectile for neutral, good dp if you want it, safe dhcs.
Fukua: Honestly not sure but I think her drill and safe dhcs are pretty handy for pw
Bella: Personally I don't think she's very useful but taluda puts in good work with copter and pw likes lockdown assists too. Damage output also good.
Eliza: Mostly useful for spiral and also good damage from eliza point into pw install
Fortune: She'd be lower if it wasn't for the fact that pw can actually use H Fiber, and her ability as a battery helps her be as high as she is as well.
Squigly: Meter hungry, not very useful assists outside of dnb, has a safe dhc, potential damage dhcs?
Peacock: L george is god but pw mostly plays in the air so it's mostly w/e for her. great battery though. Painwheel is more useful for Peacock than Peacock is for pw imo.
Filia: Has a DP, has hairball, that's about it, nothing too useful for pw imo and she can get these two and more with anyone else above her on the tier, potential for high damage output dhcs with filia level 3.
Beo: idk, I don't really play this guy but I feel like neither really care that much for each other, if pw is on the team, band is likely on it and it's mostly for band, not beo.
Val: literally useless maybe some niche with h bypass but again lots of better assists out there, neither character likes each other much. only play as a lore team.

These are hard to make 'cause I don't play pw with anyone outside of 4 characters but hey, those are my thoughts.

Eliza could probably go to 'decent partners' but I'm not sure yet since she's a little different now
Fukua might also just be 'decent' but idk.
 
I'll post some of the lists I've seen here since things get buried quickly on Discord. They're all message links so don't be frightened when Discord opens up.

Thanks for posting, that Parasoul chart seems like the nail in the coffin for trying to make a point Parasoul team work with Fortune.
 
So I have to ask who even made that PW one, Fortune and PW are great partners. Painwheel is one of the few characters that can convert H fiber and actually take advantage of a DP assist that serves for spacing not only that PW is a big fan of fortune considering she builds pw all the meter she could possibly want. Fortune should at the very least be on "good partners" imo. but the bottom? I just cannot bring myself to agree.

I feel like Fortune is often on the bottom probably based on assist or dhc which yeah they aren't great but considering fortune is mostly a point character and builds meter I think she could stand to not be at the bottom of all of these.
 
Here's what the chart is looking like so far. Some channels had more synergy discussion and shared more lists, others haven't changed from the initial lists thrown out. I mostly copied the lists I saw, but I did make some adjustments from a bit of feedback (bumping Beowulf up as a partner in some spots since he had more 1's initially) and things I personally thought seemed a bit strange (largely bumping up Painwheel, sometimes Filia, sometimes even Fortune, and moving some of Peacock's "Favorites" down to "Good" since that tier felt overcrowded).

Surprised that Val is only a 2 for Squigly given H Bypass gives Squig higher damage routes + charge + some neutral use (allows you to get fullscreen unblockable Sing Daisy if you get bypass behind the opponent) as well as giving Squigly a safe DHC (SBO Scalpels is safe on block). I don't play Squig but I've played vs Neffros a lots lol and that pairing def has more synergy for Squigly than PW or Fortune, should be bumped up to a 3 imo (fulfills the criteria at the bottom, good assists/DHCs and no conflict on position or meter use).
 
Updated the OP. Switching gears now that the guide is done, so instead of just synergy lists I'm looking for overall feedback.

I love it! I can't believe it has info about every single two-character combination in the entire game. This is going to answer so many new players' questions about whether or not their two random characters work well together, and who they should add for a trio, and so on.

One suggestion: the Team Building Theory page lists my team in the Examples Of Great Teams (Without Glue Characters) section, but it lists L George assist and explains that it's "a unique assist that's good for both neutral AND defense". I agree with that, but I've always used M George assist with this team because it lets Robo deal fullscreen chip damage way more rapidly than L George. Every ~2 seconds you force the opponent to jump over the bomb (and into a beam), or block it and take chip damage (and maybe take more chip from a followup beam) It has some other small extra benefits too, like Robo corner carry combos that build resources (5HK+assist call, 2HK, dash fullscreen, boxcar hits OTG, continue the combo). The team is probably fine with L George assist, and I often end up playing Peacock until she dies so the Peacock assist choice is the least important part of the team, but it still feels weird having it specifically listed as being my team when it's not quite the team I use.


edit: Oh no I still have a banner under my username saying I work for Lab Zero. I stopped working with them when everyone else left the company and I do normal non-Skullgirls work these days. So if any forum admins see this, can I have it removed?

Ah, good catch, thanks. I changed the assist to M George for that team, and added the 5HK conversion with M George to Robo's page.
