Mostly Complete Squigly Frame Data

Something bothers me about cr.LP being 10 startup frames and st.LK being -5 on block.

Looks like st.LP is her fastest/safest jab, and it whiffs in so many instances anyways.

If it makes you feel better, s.LK xx Level 1 Stancel is +1

Stupid question ahead...especially coming from me, one of the main squigly users....wtf does "on hit/on block" mean? How's that different from hit/block-stun? And also when people say blah blah w/+5 on block or -1 on hit...what does that mean? I've been so confused.

It is net advantage. So if a move is +1 "on block" it means you will recover 1 frame before your opponent when the move is blocked. Likewise if a move was for some reason -10 "on hit" you would be vulnerable to attack for 10 frames as the opponent will have recovered while you haven't.

OHHH lol gotcha :D So then 1-frame links are essentially a 1 frame difference between the recovery and hit-stun right?

sorry not trying to derail thread.

Not quite, 1 frame links are when the STARTUP is the same as the net advantage.

So if you had a 5F jab and your 5HP was +5 on hit, it would be a 1 frame link to land 5HP - 5LP.

Ahhhhh, that makes it SOOO much easier...thanks a bunch for that. I can't tell you how many convoluted articles I've read on this crap...well not lately, but the one's I have found have been so pretentious.

You're off by one frame actually. 5f startup means the move is active on frame 6, meaning you have to be at least +6 to link into a 5f jab.

PS - SF4 players report frame data incorrectly so that a 5f startup move actually has 4 startup frames but that's wrong.

Well it's not wrong... it's to make it easier to explain for one haha. Also makes it easier to look at, at a glance.

Although, yes, it does technically mean the last frame listed as "startup" is "active". I actually thought it was normal for 2D games to list their startups like that, but noted they don't.

Skullgirls jabs are actually slower than I thought they were in that case haha.
