In a continuation of the freakishly bad luck surrounding Skullgirls since it's release, another blow came today as Lab Zero CEO Peter Bartholow announced via the official Skullgirls twitter that the skullgirls.com webstore was no more. No details were given on the possible return of the official webstore, though customers with unfulfilled orders have been instructed to get in touch with Lab Zero via twitter. Based on the unending misfortune that has befallen Lab Zero, one can only assume that God is, in fact, a heartless and uncaring deity that doles out pain and suffering with no concern for our trivial mortal agony.

Fans can still get their officially-licensed merchandise fix at both Sanshee and Eighty-Sixed, so the sweet ambrosia of commerce still flows.
 
they were supposed to copy and paste a chain post onto ten different facebook pages to save them self. . . .they were warned

I guess the link on the skullgirls.com website probably should be changed to redirect somewhere where SG stuff is sold. eightsixed or sanshee are the official merchandise stores, right?

And also maybe remove the news story on the front page from last year saying "Official Skullgirls Store Launched"

Ms interpretation. It's not just Ms. Victoria didn't win, but BEOWULF won. I hate this guy. I swear I'll blame all the bad stuff on people who voted for Beowulf. I am still mad about that.

Don't get me wrong, he's pretty good lookin' but I'd rather have Annie, Ms. Victoria, Umbrella... you get the idea.
On topic: Sucks the store is gone, hope they can get it back up someday.

How many people actually bought stuff specifically from that store?
 
Well the reason the business shut down was because of insufficient revenue, and part of that would be because most of the items were relatively vanilla: cushions, towels, mugs, etc.

Sanshee, on the other hand, has some really cool stuff and y'all should take a look a their store.
 
Well at least they managed more than 2 weeks after new year
 
Actually, the store's been down since December 14.

I know what happened. Mike Z spilled salt after oppening his umbrella inside after stepping on a mirror that was on a crack in the sidewalk that was under a ladder that was in front of a black cat that was born on friday the 13th on an ancient Native American burial ground. Its funny, I actually imagined this as a drawing after posting. I imagined it as a crudely drawn and looked like an old school betty boop or Popeye cartoon.

It is terrible that this has all befallen your company. However, with every challenge overcome brings a new chapter to this epic saga that is being written about the indie game company that dared to defy the odds. When Mike Z gets old and has to retire, he will be able to tell all of his children and grandchildren this story. The story of the indie company that defied all odds.
