Parasoul Cerebella Squigly
I picked up Squigly as soon as she dropped on PSN, and I play her 2nd in my team (Parasoul / Squigly / Cerebella) after reading some advice on the forums, to some modest success online. Now, I'm trying to figure out my ideal assists.

In SDE, I ran Parasoul (Napalm Pillar) / Cerebella (Diamond Drop) / Double (LK Hornet Bomber), so in order to keep my resets in working order, I initially ran Squigly with Drag 'n Bite assist, but whenever Parasoul died, Squigly didn't benefit so much from Diamond Drop.

So now I'm playing around with Parasoul (Pillar) / Squigly (Center Stage) / Cerebella (Cerecopter). So here's my question to everyone: In what ways do you take advantage of (uncharged) Center Stage assists? Thus far, I know about double snap combos from midscreen. I also like to call Center Stage as Bella when I'm jumping to suck my opponent into j.HK. Center Stage assist also works fairly well for Parasoul chasing down a Peacock, but I haven't found anything else to do with it. What else have you guys figured out?

I personally suggest you play very synergistic with a team that can't go ham like yours.

I'm currently running Squigs first(kind of trying out liver mortis or Sliver chord), with Pillar at the end for basically a free charge and Cerecopter for......Well, it's Cerecopter.

If Squigs is hurt I can dhc into bikes or even Sing Raw tag if the other guy isn't looking for it.

From there on out I still have Cerebella with a reversal assist or Parasoul with Cerecopter.

Calling Chord then Tumblin' Run is pretty sick.

I haven't found any useful applications for that assist other than catching people off guard but it feels kind of gimmicky.

I'll get the chance to play it offline on Saturday, maybe Parasoul can overhead early into assist call bringing them right up for it? Same with Cerebella and her grabs.

The most I've seen with center stage assist is that someone was using it with a Bella command grab on the PC quick match.

Parasoul can use it well to get wallbounce combos with s.HK anywhere, or better bike combos anywhere. Also render uses it with MP Tear Shot because it basically covers the entire area your opponent gets to move in.

Center stage backing Merry Go Rilla with Bella I think may be good. And sing plus Kanchou for a nearly fullscreen crossup may be a thing you can try. You could also maybe call sing and then jump forward with j.mp, that probably covers just about everywhere the opponent could be. Just some thoughts, I don't play Squigly like that, so don't be mad if any of them don't work.

@iLoli @Fuzzy_Snugs That's what I'm afraid of. I often read that Center Stage is good as a counter-pick to keep-away Peacock, but I see little else about it in terms of practicality.

@Mike_Z Center Stage MP Shot sounds pretty interesting, thanks. I'll try confirming it into Silent Scope and see if that gets me anywhere.

@Zidiane I tried Center Stage > Merry Go Rilla, but the centering effect ends before the slam, so it doesn't help with combos, sadly. I also tried Center Stage > Titan Knuckle, but I can't pick up off that either, haha.

I meant, they're a full screen away, call center stage, and suddenly they're in range to get scooped and you do MGR.

Edit: Also, you can get a full combo midscreen. MGR, dash, c.lk, c.mk, j.mp, j.hk, whatever else.

ive not been playing squigs for long but something i immediately thought of was center stage assist + heavy lock and load for full screen 2 hit armour assist.

would work vice versa too with squigs on point.

I haven't tried the assist out much because I find drag n' bite to be her strongest assist. Recently though I've been using it with different teams so I understand how not to get blown up by it. Naturally, the shared use amongst the teams would be midscreen double snaps, center stage > grab (try it! you be surprised how much this works), and after slide knockdown to keep them close, but other uses depend on your point character. Peacock doesn't have to think on which item drop to use, you could always pull the opponent into a lenny for free chip but eh...(plus it could hit squigly), you could get a small lk bomb combo for extra damage, if your opponent is throwing out normals fullscreen( against peacock its stupid but eh) you can center stage > mp bang and get a combo but this too is meh. Parasoul can pull into an overhead and into tears but i don't see how you can do this in a match( least i've yet to). Probably the most useful is better confirms off sniper if the opponent happens to be too far. Cerebella should only be doing MGR and excellebella as its actually pretty cool. Painwheel actually benefits a ton. It's risky yes since they can dp/super on reaction but the opponent has to deal with you primarily if you center stage> j.mp or j.hk to cross up or armor through whatever. Valentine can throw out a counter if your opponent is throwing out normals for whatever. Fortune I've tried to use it to help move the head. I don't know if the situation never arised, but this was COMPLETELY unnecessary. Double I got nothing. Eh item crash for overhead kinda works but idk.

@Emuchu I know you were primarily asking for your team but the thread seemed just general to center stage. Sorry I wrote so much but hopefully it helped.

call center stage > dash forwards > bella level 3 is amazing.
