QLD's Major Returns! With a focus on bringing a top quality tournament to Brisbane, Keep 'et Classy is working extremely hard to make this an event to be remembered by all!

What?
ButtonSmash Issue 2 is a Major Fighting Game tournament located in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. Kicking off the Fighting game Tournament Scene for 2014 we aim at bringing a next level tournament to the amazing FGC of Australia. Being ran by the Brisbane based Keep ‘et Classy we expect to have a turnout of over 100 participants from all states of Australia.

There will be professionally run tournaments through out the weekend with a high possibility of side tournaments. Casual play will also be a prominent feature of the weekend and there will always be setups available to meet those needs!

We are doing our best to make this an event to remember!
We hope to see you all there!

Saturday 15th of March – Sunday 16th of March

$30 entry fee for both days.
$10 per tournament entered. (N.B: Skullgirls is FREE)

We are extremely lucky to be able to use such an up and coming event. Set in a done up warehouse that just oozes style, FOUND is going to be one hot place for future events coming. Located extremely close to public transport and food/beverages we think FOUND will defiantly knock your socks off.

Also, I really hope they don't make the Skullgirls Tourney before 12pm because I need to wake the fuck up, get ready, wait for my ride to get here and drive an hour to get to the friggen thing.
 
You could try to find out who is running the tournament by asking in the AU skullbats groups - I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of those guys or someone they know, so they should be able to tell you what time it starts.

I'll be there with 2 setups and I'll push to make the event in the afternoon. The schedule hasn't been worked out yet though, is there a day you'd prefer? I'll run it by the event organizers. If anyone has any issues or questions about Button Smash in general or any of the other events let me know.

Sat or Sun is good for me but it has to be in the afternnon for me at least.

Yo, just a heads up:
The worst nightmare of any TO has come true. Due to circumstances beyond our control we are likely going to have to change venue. The government have shut the venue from performing any functions with high legal penalties and fines.
The venue owner has said we can still hold it but I'd rather him not take that risk. It would mean keeping everything quiet. Avoid hanging outside etc.

I have been hunting like a mad man all morning and have come up with only 1 option so far. The ashgrove function center on yoku rd. A tiny bit further out from the city. But it has the space we need and it also has no time frames so we are able to go until midnight both nights. I will keep searching for suitable spaces closer to the city but this looks like our best option.

Rain or shine this major will go ahead and it will be an amazing weekend. I hope you can all understand my frustration and stress on this as well. No one is to blame here.

CM, Senpusha and WaterMystic are actual SG players, Pichy is only playing for the sake of it, I wouldn't doubt if there were some others in the same boat as him.

Use your mash as a reverse psychology trick

Mash like MAD when he's in the middle of his combo (That isn't in his burst bait string which is really obvious if you know it) and he'll be pressured into not dropping the combo and he'll be afraid to do resets
