Your first fighting game. GO!

My first fighting game was Mortal Kombat Deception, but to be honest, that's what fucked me up while playing Skullgirls. Now...I'm cured!

4Kids dubbed One Piece: Grand Battle...

hey. hey. hey. hey. at least you have the voice of Guts as the voice of their green haired samurai. that was the ONLY thing done right in the voice casting.... and giving chopper a second voice when he gets big.

I played a bit of Calamity Trigger and Melty Blood in arcades, but Skullgirls is pretty much the first game I've actually tried to learn.

I was going to say I wasn't be sure, but then I remembered: it was Street Figher III.
For the NES.

Wait, what?
Hell, yeah!
By the time I first played Super Street Fighter II, I'm not sure that I understood that this game couldn't possibly be III, but I remember thinking for a while that E. Honda and Balrog were new characters like Fei Long and Cammy.

You know bootleg or not, given the hardware restrictions of the NES, that's actually rather impressive.

First fighting game I ever played was Super Street Fighter 2 on Genesis.

First fighting game I cared enough about to get good at was Third Strike.

was that on a 3 or 6 button pad?

man i loved having to press start to switch between punches and kicks.

It sure is. First time I played the official Game Boy SFII, I was actually disappointed (although that could have been nostalgia).
I wish I could say something more about the gameplay, but I can only remember mashing Blanka's electric thunder like a proper 4-year-old.

One Must Fall 2097. First game i ever imported from US back in the day. Check out my retailed box copy. You jelly?

Bushido blade and Street fighter Alpha 3 on PS1.

I believe it was the same as the boxart with the power plant or danger room as the background.

Sadly it seems i do not have the poster anymore. Must have ripped badly at some point. T^T
Still have the manual and strategy guide.

As far as I can remember, it was vanilla MVC3. All I remember from that was that I ran Chun-Li, Ammy + 1 and I pretty much just button mashed

I remember I started out with Mortal Kombat 1. I got hooked on it because Sub-Zero's fatality was just so epic.

Glorious Tekken 3. Still play nowadays, but in a emulator.

The first fighter I considered myself "decent" at was Marvel VS Capcom on Dreamcast. Seeing Morrigan for the first time was....an experience. O.o

My first fighting game ever was SF2:WW in the arcade because I am a million years old.

First fighting game that I could be considered remotely good at was Dissidia: Final Fantasy, though.
