    Changing your SH username

I'd like to change my username to "Svierrod" I've been using that name everywhere else. Might as well make it more consistent.

From Smashing Bros to Smashing Skullgirls

Generally, you're going to want to learn how to play two or three characters in-depth, since the team mechanics give you a ridiculous number of options compared to playing a single character. But if you're just starting out, it'd probably be best to stick to a solo character for a while. It's...

    General Bug Report Thread

Cool. Like I said, I just couldn't find any mention of it in any of the patch notes, so I got a little spooked.

    General Bug Report Thread

So, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not (I couldn't find anything in any patch notes about it), but I was crunching some numbers with Valentine's poisons, and noticed that Val's green poison subtracts Drama, even if it's not a counterhit. Lv. 1 subtracts 25, Lv. 2 subtracts 50, and Lv. 3...

Skullgirls Beta Aug 5th Patch Discussion

This may not be super important since the move might not be final, but Peacock's new punch-y LK Teleport can't be super-cancelled at any point. It's the only special I can name that's like that, and it was copied from her tag-in, so it doesn't sound like this is intentional to me. Either way, I...

Skullgirls Beta Aug 5th Patch Discussion

Adding a damage scaling viewer thing to training mode sounds pretty cool. And pencil me in for the "display scaling of the hit that just landed" side (so the 3rd hit shows 100%). It'll make it obvious which moves force scaling and by how much. And as long as adding that stuff to training mode...

The Hype, Impractical, and Impossible Combos Thread

This is the result of a failed experiment to link something off Bandwagon Rushdown via Peacock's George (LK) assist. But on the plus side, I finally found a thing I've been looking for since forever: there is indeed a way to send somebody flying with Bandwagon Rushdown so they land on Monster...

Skullgirls Beta Aug 5th Patch Discussion

Can we get Fukua's clones to automatically fire when you hold the button too long, instead of disappearing? Kinda like how Peacock's item drop does (although I know Shadow does it because LV. 3 item has mad cooldown). I'd also accept an explanation for why the clone disappears when the timer...

    General Bug Report Thread

@Mike_Z I probably posted this somewhere a while ago, but I'm not sure if you saw it. As long as the beta's open for fixes again, I figured I'd put this up here again. For some reason, Beowulf's s. HK can't stagger assist characters. Lots of other moves like Bang! (L) and Bella s. MP can...

Beowulf s. HK Doesn't Stagger Assists

I'm not entirely sure where to put this, but here goes. The title pretty much says it all. Beowulf's s. HK won't stagger assists, even though other staggering moves can. Quick video illustration here: I don't know how much of a priority something like this is at this point in the game, but it...

    Beowulf Beginner help/ throw options?

When it comes to his pummels, the headbutt (Punch button) doesn't do as much damage, but it builds him more super meter. If you do lots of headbutts, you won't kill them as quickly, but you'll have more super meter to play with. On the other hand, the knee (Kick button) does a lot more damage...

    Them's Fightin' Herds

Assuming that the moves are the same as Fighting Is Magic, I should be able to help a bit. Arizona's j. B should be the drop kick, and the downward kick should be j. C. Pretty sure either the headbutt or the horn swipe is a special move, not sure which one though. Velvet's big ice swipe should...

The Hype, Impractical, and Impossible Combos Thread

Been having some computer troubles for a while, but I managed to record this on a borrowed computer. I'll probably goof off some more with Peacock's j. MK and see if I can pull off any other crazy shenanigans. You can land a counterhit j. MK at that height pretty reliably if you use it to...

    Them's Fightin' Herds

On the topic of combo length, the devs (i.e. the guys playing that demo) had worked on the previous version of the game for quite a while. It's not brand new to them, they've been playing it for, like, two years. I think they've got a pretty reasonable picture for "normal" length combos already...

Post your last suggestions for Skullgirls Encore here!

You can switch up your team order on the loading screen between matches by holding Tag 1 (MP + MK) to switch Character 1 with Character 2, or by holding Tag 2 (HP + HK) to switch Character 1 with Character 3. They'll stay in the new order like that until you change it again.

    Skullgirls PC Beta Updates Discussion

My dream for taunts is just to have them build some amount of meter . . . for the other player. If the point of taunts is to insult the other player or just goof off, might as well go all the way. "I think so little of you, I'll just stand here and do nothing while you get a free hit AND some...

    Skullgirls PC Beta Updates Discussion

I'm pretty sure I remember Mike explaining somewhere that non-cinematic supers can kill in the middle because non-cinematic supers are a series of hits instead of a built-in follow-up, so it would be possible for the victim to fall out of the super before the last hit and survive if the super...

after PBGC(pushblock guard cancel),lonesome Lenny plus others super, how does it turn out?

With a little experimentation, I found a few more things. Lenny -> Drill Of My Dreams (Fukua's drill super) is hilarious. Lenny -> Painwheel's Lv. 3 works astonishingly well . . . sometimes. Whether or not the opponent gets wallbounced onto the explosion seems kinda random, but it could be...

after PBGC(pushblock guard cancel),lonesome Lenny plus others super, how does it turn out?

You could always just be staggeringly uncreative and do Ultimate Showstopper like everybody else. Not that it matters too much, since Lenny's lost startup invincibility in the Beta, so PBGC into Lenny won't get you a whole lot in most cases now. On a similar note, Lenny into Head Over Heels (I...
