This is the best player from Japan vs me.

This guy had the best squigly and the best big band I had ever seen. So I asked him to run a set FT30. He destroyed me and made me rethink of those characters. I was humbled.

EDIT: I wanted to note he did stuff with both characters that I have never seen in the states. Like new tech that you guys should probably watch and learn. His use of sing was something I've never seen before. This also includes new burst baits with both characters, new double snap midscreen combos, parry (on purpose) confirms into big combos and much more.

Thanks for uploading this, it's tough to find match footage of 159man. My favorite burst bait with Big Band is something I stole from him.

I played him in ranked, thought it was a fluke he nearly perfected me with some tech. So I added him and played him another round and he destroyed me again. I asked him for a FT30 but didn't tell him I was gonna record. Either way, I did and the outcome was way worse that I thought it would be for me. I don't usually see high level play outside of sage and fox so watching a new person who I think is on par (or even better) than those two was so exciting to see. I needed to record

You think he's that good? Maybe he should be in the conversation for the international player to send to Combo Breaker, then. I'd be interested to see him play against Sage and/or Sonic, but an online match from east coast USA to Japan is never happening in this lifetime.

As far as what I've seen from Japan, he's easily the best. I'm not just saying that because I lost (though I usually don't lose this bad to anyone besides fox and sage). But I can tell he was playing "smart". He is far better than the other Japanese player that came to evo. 159man has offense and defense and patience and maximized combos with maximized resets. I can usually find faults in players by watching a few matches (15+ years of FGC does that), but with this player, he had very very few that I could exploit.

My connection with him was 130 ping and definitely playable as you can see. I know people dismiss online but I would love to see this guy come to the states.

He's really good! I wouldn't mind playing him online, its just for fun after all. I don't know if he'd be able to block a lot of the resets I do at first, but I do like the way he plays neutral and the way he plays on defense.

I've played this guy a ton in QM. Definitely hard to land a clean hit on him in neutral.

Looking forward to watching the video.

Oh also on the subject of asian players , magicman will dominate with R.Fortune once he returns from compulsory service.

I'm still watching this video, and i'm honestly impressed.

The weird thing is, I don't see a whole lot of new tech, just much more cleanly done stuff.
