Report 5/29 Salty - Voice Pack Mania!

Then don't use it? Offline voicepacks aren't used by the CPU. I don't understand the problem

Valley Girl Painwheel
"Oh my god, look at her butt" lol
Oh my gosh, look at her butt

Because when you play offline, maybe you'll play against someone else who wants to use it when you really don't like it, and some people may not want to be pushy and tell a person they barely know and just met to not pick a thing they like?

There's nothing he can do about it, which he knows and isn't causing a fuss over, but it's a pretty easy problem to see.

And flat out forcing it off because of this is some how more polite? Sounds like you'd seem just as pushy since you're still telling them no.

Online is one thing because everyone wins since you don't have to hear x alt voice on opponent, but the opponent can still hear x alt voice on their character.

Offline block is dumb because it locks out voices based on x person specific preferences rather then balance [Similar to the specific DoA costume bans which lead to a hilarious backlash uproar] despite other people rather hearing that voice. I'm honestly not too fond of Political Double or Valley Painwheel after a few listens for example, but I'm not gonna forcibly wall off the option if my opponent prefers it. Chances are I wouldn't be able to hear the voices anyway.

Solution for offline is simply don't ever pick it if your fighting CPU and if your fighting another person locally then it should be handled where players has to agree to not use them when asked before a match [sorry but you have to speak up and ask if you want to inconvenience someone] for the sake of fairness.

Did you really not even fucking read the second part of my post that you just quoted?

Hell you didn't even read the thing you DID quote, which was saying "forcing people to switch is bad", so what the hell.

Guys

Don't be meanies.

That out of the way, it's not really pushy to ask someone to not use a voicepack IRL. Make up some BS excuse like "I rely on sound cues" if you don't wanna make it seem like you dislike the voice pack. People are more accommodating than you may think!

If someone asked me to choose the default voice pack because they honestly believe it has an effect on their performance, then I would gladly change for them.

If someone asked me to choose the default voice pack because they don't like the way the alt voices sound, I'd tell them to get bent. I don't give a damn if you don't like the way it sounds, I'm the one picking it. I'm not gonna give up my own preference to someone who can't deal with such a ridiculously trivial matter.

"Please don't use the animu voice pack cause Skullgirls is animu enough with it's hentai and Big Bando!" - The casual gamer idiot.

Basically this (if at all), as if "not liking it" is enough to request not using it, that's not really much different than "can you not use that palette plz, I only accept default ones".

Guys, the disable option simply makes you hear the opponent with a standard voice if I'm right while you and him/her can pick whatever you want. I thought it was basically that.

EDIT: all online of course

@Mike_Z A new voicepack bug I've encountered and I know you're familiar with is Painwheel's multiple voices when raw tagged into her grab. the problem is fixed with her leaving, she only says one catchphrase then leaves. The problem comes when she's tagged back in and lands her command grab, (Actually don't know if commandgrab is the right term, her grab she does automatically when tagged in)she'll sometimes do two of more catchphrases ontop of eachother, the last one being a while longer after the first two.

Also, her Gae Bolga Stinger would sound a lot better if her 'rawr' didn't cut off slightly on full charge; I think if her fully charged GBSRawr bled into her attack name "I broke a nail" or "ew" it wouldn't be too bad. Sorry for the wall of text trying to bug check for the PS4 release.

'tis a hit-grab. c:
A command grab would be unblockable (Think Cere's 214 and 236 lp+lk) while a hit-grab can be blocked (PW's 236 P and Cere's 623 lp+lk).
I-it's called a hit-grab... right...??
