Hello SH Community!

Just recently i was contacted by Guilty Bits editor Novriltataki about writing text based content on Skullgirls! It will be a great way to give the unfamiliar or the overwhelmed the tools and knowledge to play the game without all of that padding so players that want to play SG can get straight into the game. But as i am just one guy so i am requesting help from anyone who is interested in giving back to the community! :D

Currently, here is what the project has lined up.
  • Skullgirls Team Synergy and Construction (Character Introductions).
  • Learning to Combo.
  • In-depth Character guides (all 14)
  • Screen Control.
  • Learning how to Defend.
  • Learning how to Pressure.
If anyone has feedback as to how these could be improved, what could be added or removed or you are interested in contributing to the project, please send me a message on SH, add me on steam or add your thoughts below.
(No shenanigans or drama below, please. :PUN: ).

So is this guide going to be aimed at a complete new player to all fighting games?
Or is it for those who've played other fighting games and want to learn more about what makes Skullgirls, Skullgirls, and how to play it.

I was going to say both but technically the game does a fine job teaching newer players regardless.
It seems to be players who have played other fighting games going "How do? These combo's are long, what are assists?" that i hear a lot from.

(This doesn't mean players who have never touched a fighting game before won't get something out if it either, just wanted to quickly clarify that. :P )

Unless this is a full video Skullgirls Bits thing, I really don't think we need more absolute beginner material that just says the same thing. The beginner resources thread has a wealth of information explaining a lot of what you plan to do already. There's also already a ton of good character guides that are quite up to date considering SG hasn't gotten many balance changes near the end of it's development cycle.

The plan is to also centralize all this information to make it more accessible so people do not have to be searching through all of this information and just structuring it so it's more streamline.
(Also i haven't played you in forever, Face me!!)

If I wasn't so busy with my schedule.........

As someone who has played him, I can fully attest that Blue is not, in any way, fit for the job.
:^)
I tried to talk about the game with him and he just stared at me confused and asked me if we were still talking about skullgirls.

Kappa. The objective is to also expand on how you can construct your teams and to experiment a bit more in building and maximization.
