Another Training Diary zzz

@joshb911

Yup, I use too many c.mk's for my starters. I've gotten so used to its hitconfirm..actually..wait.. people still fall for it more than s.mk so I'll either have to keep that shitty scaling or find a better alternative. But you're right, c.mk stays for poking, s.mk for combos. Thanks for the mention before I forgot myself.
You went for the same cr.mp, cr.hk, cancelled into QCF grab (don't know if it was pressure)
Yeah, it was. I remember trying that twice or thrice before giving up on it during the tournament. Outside of it, I never have problems. It was so stupid, lol. I think I missed more resets than just that. No clue why. Pressure does weird things to people.

Ah yes..the H shadow. I NEED to mix my shadows more. I forgot that as well that day.
Also, psst, Mr Peck realizes everything. It doesn't matter what you try. That smartass.

Lastly Why did you not bff when that dynamo whiffed?
Oops. Good question. I think I didn't realize my Double was getting slam dunked.
Use of the shinkus fireball supers
In fact, I did think that was one of my WORST mistakes during that day. Waste of too many bars. Many of those supers whiffed and didn't have a godlike prediction. I mean, sure, it's a good pressure tool and that's probably one of my main uses for it but..I kinda overused it that day (hi again, pressure). I shouldn't rely too much on them.

P.S. Why are you always so afraid that I'd take your words personal, you silly goose.

@LuxadeSwag

Hey thanks man, that's some great stuff you've posted there.
I discovered those teacup crossups already by now though, but I'm especially still interested in those combos. I'll make sure to check them out and practice them.
That Fukua reset, is it character specific?
It probably is but just test it on others. Probably works on all lights but who knows.

You can basically just upfoward with j.HK and teacup will crossup. ink_deer abuses it A LOT. You may also check the Double reset video I did for ideas.

E: Those BB combos with Double were done by Duck.

Cause I don't like to offend people that I have nothing against :)

Also SHINKU does hella chip so if it makes contact with people its not a waste of meter 0.0

And @SScrux

Another tip for Fukua and Double pressuring in the corner.

Just spam j.HK j.HP Fireball + M Bomber. It's really douchey when they don't know how to PBGC or Can't Alpha Counter.

@joshb911
Yeah, the chip is great, isn't it? Until they whiff too much like in my case that day.
You should read my thread on rush down Fukua more -_-

@LuxadeSwag that does not work on dp characters.... BB can blow through that, Eliza can parasite through it, double can mash through it, Bella can dp grab, and you can just push block her off you. Its a good basic tactic but at high level it fails....

Well sorrrrrrryyyy for not being a *top* Fukua player. SScrux. Parasoul is free to Fukua especially to the corner thing because she can't avoid j.HK on downback. I also suggest find support resets and damaging support combos. Double can do a lot of fun resets with Fukua's MK Shadow but just go with Drill.

I'm not a top fukua player..... I'm just saying...... Sorry to offend :(

Oh I'm sorry @SScrux. I forgot to mention L Drill is good after crossundering with c.HK after c.MP. Dekillsage uses it a lot with support for a full conversion and make it safe on block. If you want more help. Just PM me.

@joshb911

Ok, will do that a 5th time then- nope, still nothing new there. Point?

@SScrux Warning ima be brutally honest what i think from what i just saw.

Ok let's look over your fights

1st= easy as hell nothing notable to talk about EXCEPT the shitty reset were doing. if the sanji jumps 2 times in a row WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HE WOULDN"T JUMP A THIRD TIME?!?!?! you already have a 50/50 mixup UPON LANDING so stagger a LOW and catch the dude upbacking. aside from that sanji just never knew anything about fukua to begin with. especially an aggressive fukua

2nd= Now this is what triggered the thoughts in my head that seemed off in your fukua. and i know what it is you ready? your fukua is way too static and just absolutely easy to pick off. your armor grabs are used for reads only. not whenever the fuck you feel like it (btw you fucked up a perfectly good double snap with squigly so pay attention next time). the worst of it all is that you do not use j lp nor use shadows NOR BFF vs peacock's spam. USE THOSE. Overall its goes the same with muro and you do not utilize the tools that were given to you. you do the same vs the other peacock matches (how you got to fight 3 peacocks in a row i'll never know!)

Vs dragonos: same as above.

overall: you got the most static fukua i've ever seen in my life. Fukua WAS NOT MEANT FOR RUSHDOWN. you can be aggressive BUT NOT RUSHDOWN. if you truly like this character then learn to use shadows at neutral and fireballs. and stop using some bullshit run up j hk all the time. once or twice is fine to challenge the opponent but all the time is asking to get airgrabbed. WARNING IF YOU WANT RUSH DOWN I ENCOURAGE YOU TO PLAY FORTUNE,FILIA.

i can provide resets and even play you a few matches. what i can't provide is an definite answer to what you want in your play style. hopefully i see more from you though

Entry 7

Woah, I'm reviving this diary. It's been 4 months!

I stopped playing Sbats and focused on fleshing out my teams. I've tried the whole cast by now. As always, I still main Fuk/Doub. As always, I'm still looking for a third main. Current candidates are Filia and Fortune — bye Squigly, you just couldn't fit into my team. Both Filia and Fortune are pretty darn hard to play for me whilst Squigly wasn't anymore, but I think my Filia is getting somewhere..slowly. My biggest issue is controlling her movement. I miss her iAD too many times, and some attack strings tend to whiff sometimes on random opponents.

I found something weird with Double in Training recently.
I don't know yet if these resets are viable, but here's a video:

What the shit

Entry 9

So.
I've reached that time of the year again where I'm really sick and tired of playing the same people and the same scene (EU in this case) over and over again, and I want something fresh, something that would motivate me to play again. In ooother words, I'm looking for American players to play with at this very moment. It'd be even better if I could be shown what I do wrong during the sets, so I could perhaps improve once more.

I've even been thinking about trying my own kumite, but the question is, would there be enough interest?

Oh heck, I'll figure that out later.
WHO WANTS TO PLAY?

(Note: Fear not. I tend to have pretty good connection with NA players in general. Though, sometimes, West Coast can be a bit tricky. I only mentioned NA, but if you're from somewhere else and would like to play, do tell as well.)

I could play, depending on when it is.

If you want to fight specifically NA players you may want to start late at night so that it's a reasonable time for NA players. When I do streams with my BFF Coolcab we normally start at midnight his time because that works out to 7pm my time.

Cool! I'm home most of the days, most of the time, so I can basically play whenever.

You think 8:00 PM CEST would be a good time to start asking around? If not, I can always move it to 12:00 CEST. I mean, I actually dunno when most people come back from work there usually. You probably know better than I do.

I personally don't even get home from work until midnight CEST on a weekday. That's probably true for anyone who works a 9 to 5 (which I guess isn't actually that many people in the community, so, idk).

If you decide to start late enough for east coast NA people to play I'd love to play in the kumite if you'll have me, we had good connection yesterday.
