It's that time again! Skullgirls is an official game, and PNW's finest will all be in attendance. I'm expecting some love from East Coast and SoCal this time around, so if you're trying to get games in before Combo Breaker, this is the major to make. Once registration is live I'll post more information, including tournament rules/format and the like.

Northwest Majors tends to treat anime and side games very well, and if you're looking for more than Skullgirls, check out the full lineup. The scene itself is a mecca for BlazBlue and Guilty Gear players, with more than a handful of VSav killers as well. PNW's Smash scenes have been growing by leaps and bounds as well, so there's no shortage of comp there either.

I cannot stress how beautiful Seattle is and how much fun PNW is to be a part of and party with. I'd love for you all to come join us. <3

If you are not skipping Evo this year go to NWM anyway.

Since Mike just said that he's going to this, I'd like to assume it means most of us will roll up as well. Guess we'll have to see what happens

This is during my finals so count me out. But CB on the other hand... ;)

What is the rail situation like for Des Moines? From Vancouver a train is probably faster than a plane (considering customs' 2 hour lineup) and that would mean it would be easier to only take one vacation day.

Not sure tbh. Last year Liam and Yaya both took the ferry from van to seattle to save some money.
 
Yeah, I'm not on the island. I'll look it up later, but I'm sure there is an option, at least to Seattle.

What are the options from Seattle to Des Moines?
 
So I'm gonna skip evo for this and Combo Breaker.

Okay, I'm going to have to talk to local people as well, since I know a few who are going that I've known since uni, so I'm not sure what the situation is right now.
 
I've booked a room with 2 queen beds, so room for 4. I know @BrandX+ wanted a room to share, so they're in if they want. Whoever else wants to join, let me know, I can't easily contact my local people for a few weeks, as I was never in the habit of getting phone numbers back in uni.

Arriving at 2:55PM on Friday. Super stoked! I'm going to make an extra effort to play lots of casuals this weekend so hit me up if you play Skullgirls or Blazblue or Ecco.
 
I'll put this in the header, but it doesn't have a pot bonus and doesn't look like it's getting main stage love, so ???
 
Its an official game (?) and from what I remember from last year its just a pretty great tournament (to watch... T.T)
 
Hi everyone! I'm Salsa and I work reg and I (at least I think I am) in charge of running SG for this year's event.


Bad news, there is a SLIGHT possibility that with the heavy amount of registrations we may have to run our bracket starting Friday evening, which I know is kinda bad for some people who are flying in. I'll make sure to get you guys more info soon, as the draft of the even schedule will be released ASAP.

I'll keep you all posted.
