So details are limited at the moment BUT since everything is by community vote/entrants, we will have a side tournament there providing somebody (me) is willing to show up and run it.

HOTEL REGISTRATION IS HERE

Just a few helpful things:
- We get stream time if we're one of the two largest side tournaments. We missed this by a little bit last year (about 6 entrants short of 3rd strike)
shoutouts to east coast for bringing us more players than socal
but i'm confident with more heads up that we can get it for sure this time. Worst case scenario, we're recording off of my elgato.
- The venue is a 5 minute walk away from the Sacramento Amtrak station. If you have an amtrak station close to you, I strongly suggest taking the train.
- Most likely going to be running the tournament on Saturday over Sunday
- If you can only go to NCR or SCR, I would suggest you go to SCR as there will most likely be more entrants there. We don't have a date for SCR yet though.

I will fill this out more as more info becomes available!

Is Skullgirls gonna be there? From what I gathered it's SF4 MvC3 and smash.

Well... the thing is, if getting stream time is important to anybody, only the side game that gets the most registration numbers will be given stream time. There's that to consider.

It's the top two side games. We were number three last year behind BBCP & Third Strike. Our inability to beat third strike came from the fact that more players from the east coast showed up to the event than players from SoCal. To be honest though, this year we aren't going to beat XRD and UNIEL. Norcal has the biggest UNIEL scene in the country and one of the bigger XRD communities.

I do however, have an HD Cap so I can guarantee the matches will be recorded at the very least. Depending on which channels are streaming I may be able to secure a top 4 stream via connections, though no guarantees.

But please keep in mind that Kineda has been really helpful with our scene in Norcal and was the reason we were able to get the game in at hadocon. This has the potential to be a strong showing for us.

Hey everyone!

I looked into Amtrak and it looks like it should be about $80 for round trip from San Jose station. I would STRONGLY recommend amtrak, especially since Sac station is only a 5 minute walk away from the venue.

Which is to say, one east coast player

since I won't be able to make it to NCR due to covering a convention (MSP website work) I still be there in spirit. and when I mean in spirit, I mean I am adding 100$ to the pot for NCR Skullgirls. It ain't much but a little incentive for the norcal SG crew and any body else to step your game up a bit.

For anyone curious
