Well since every other fighting game has a thread I thought I'd make this. AH3 certainly deserves a thread here, it's an amazing game.
Also because of the recent news Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!! confirmed for console release! HYPE

AH3LM Changes List (Subject to change): http://curbeh.blogspot.ca/2013/10/arcana-heart-3-love-max-version-103.html
Wiki: http://wiki.mizuumi.net/w/Arcana_Heart_3 (Very good wiki!)
Sugoi! DB: http://db.homingcancel.com/ (Here, you can watch AH3LM Match videos from Japan)

So, talk about ah3.
Personally i really love this game, its honestly one of my favorite fighters, ever. can't wait for Love Max to fix the issues it has.
I main Lieselotte as of late. Used to main Angelia, Scharl, and Weiss.
Shoutouts to the Netcode of AH3, it's really godlike. I actually played some Japanese people today and it was playable.

Arcana heart for me was like Dead or alive for me except my expectations were lower than Dead or alive but I went into and It has a really fun system to it, I really enjoy playing it, the characters I play are Saki, Eko and Kamui.

Edited because of mistakes sorry about.

I only have the PC arcade hack. I wish there was a way to play this version online.

Petra looks cool though. Looks like she's a heavy zoner.

There are lots of command normals...

Woops my bad, I don't why I thought there were no command normals I have a bad memory sometimes sorry. Should i edit my post so that the incorrect information is gone?

Anyone still play Arcana Heart 3 or might want to play it again?

I'm looking to getting back into it myself, seeing if anyone is interested in playing here regularly.

AH3 is the best game. I'll play it offline when i get the chance but don't practice much any more

I really liked AH3, but I sold my PS3 a while back so I never get to play it much. I could play the PC version I guess, but with no multiplayer it's kinda derp.

I still have it on psn. Haven't played it in like a year or two though and I was pretty bad to begin with so I doubt anyone who wants to play will get any good competition from me lol.

It's still in my opinion that AH3 is the deadest game. Why? Because when me and a friend made a private room I got 2 messages asking to bump in and neither cared if we were just screwing around. That is just sad.

This is one of the best fighters I've ever played, even though I'm pretty terrible at it.

Despite the lack of Six Stars and rollback netcode, I am hype.

I hope that the netcode isn't region locked for PC!LM like it was in the console versions.

Definitely getting this

was hesitant because of the $30 price tag
but it comes with a digital version of the same 144-page artbook that came with the limited edition of vanilla AH3's console release

Does anyone know what happened to homingcancel? Was looking for some character info the other night but it seems like the forum is no longer.

I have both vanilla AH3 and Love Max on my PS3.

IIRC they wanted to move discussion onto Dustloop to centralize things a bit more. The forums are back right now, but only for archiving purposes.

(It's me doing the archiving)

Did anyone pick this up on Steam yesterday?

Seems to be a pretty decent port so far, but I've not got any online games in just yet, so no idea how the netcode is.

I got it, played many ranked matches, feels very good, exact same as the ps3 version.

I think this bodes well for the BBCPE PC release.

Mind if I add you? I'm brand new aka zero online matches, but the game looks fun.

ye hit me up
It's a pretty easy game to get into

Im still trying to figure out who I want to main. I like the grappler with the blob and the girl who can equip her sword and set up an attack by throwing what look to be a bunch of blades into the ground. Im also fond of the Nature and Ice arcana.

I grabbed this on release day, and I'm really enjoying it. The netcode feels fine, though I conjectured on the Dustloop forums that it's in large part due to the lack of tight-timing-dependent defensive (i.e IBs) or offensive (i.e. FRCs) maneouvres, and that hardly any moves have less than 5f startup time.

As for the mechanics, having a 1v1 airdasher with the defensive game focusing around a psuedo-pushblock rather than instant blocking is awesome on its own, let alone the character variety and the spatial play of the homing button. I'm really glad I didn't go with my first impression
"body pillow fodder for sad lonely men who get off on fantasizing about saving helpless girls looking at them with puppy dog eyes", sadly. It should have been "girly", since "girly" wouldn't have been a turnoff, but now I know why everyone keeps saying "anime is wrong"
and watched the trailer, saw GUNS! (and the self-confident and apparently quite capable woman wielding them), and went for it.

Yeah, the aesthetics are pretty lame for me, but the game seems to play really well. It is a ton of fun, though I'm barely into it at all.

That said, combos seemed tougher to me than say SG and other games. I've barely tried, so that could be wrong, but as a first impression it seemed to require a tad more mechanical skills than others in the genre. Is that not the case?

My first impression is that the chaining and buffering behaviour is fairly lenient, but there is a tendency to knock opponents out of range after a few moves, requiring an HC or EFC to continue. On the other hand, strong stray hits seem to deal about half the damage of a full combo, so it doesn't look like you need to get long combos to reduce the total required neutral touches to win as much as in Skullgirls.

Also, I'd say only some of the aesthetics aren't appealing. Petra (GUNS!), Kamui (katana & ponytail), Weiss (UBW mk.II in a black dress), and Akane (Sailor Fox) all look quite fine to me. The style is definitely dated, though.

Because of the meter system in the game, a newbie can just do ABC->Super as a bnb.

People used to make fun of the game and "BC Super" was kind of a meme, since it does almost the same damage as an optimal combo

If they hit, that is. That being said, I wouldn't think it so bad if supers did about 70% the damage they currently do, just because of how easy it is to get them, but I've also only been playing for a couple days.

they already increased health across the board, in Love MAX!!!!!, if you played vanilla AH3, every character died faster.

BC>super is usually better - better reach + more damage.

Kamui in particular without plant arcana or something actually kinda has to do that.

Angela feels like Talbain or Beo just without anything going for her. She has a dash, a reflect, and honestly not much else >_>

I like Arcana Heart 3, but I can't get around all the systems at times. Plus some of the art kinda feels off to me. Not to bash the style, the spritework is amazing, but the "anime-link" makes some characters look a bit iffy.

I wish I could pick this up on steam, but I already have it on PS3 and I don't have the excess funds to really warrant getting it over other games. I don't really have a true main, I kinda jump around. I haven't found many characters I feel are just "Fun" for me yet. German lady with the gauntlets and the robot Chun-Li are fun. Can't remember any names atm for some reason D:

Pretty sure you mean Zenia (who is russian, fwiw) and Mei-Fang.
