Just thought we should probably have a thread for this.

Was so happy to see Rodney show up.

(Edit) Making a list in response to what people ask or seem to miss. Work in progress

    Function
    • Slide has a hit on it and is good for starting fights out of dash/speed boost.
    • The axe gives you a block if you press the guard all button, if you time it to an enemy attack you will enter combat on your turn doing a counter attack. Does 900 damage to every enemy hit.
    • The bow gives you slow fall while aiming (does not increase distance) and has explosive arrows if you hold the bow attack and press regular attack after firing arrows.
      Damage values (open)
Arrows deal 450 damage to an enemy until you hit the threshold, explosive arrows deal 1100 damage until you hit the threshold and you can have up to 6 in an enemy at a time. If you open a battle with explosive arrows the explosion can hit the other enemies at the start of the fight and will still deal damage to the secondary enemies even if you have already hit the threshold on the primary.
    • Helmbreaker is awarded by the Manote, it's down + attack while in the air (have to acquire speed boost before you can use it)
    • Tougher enemies give characters more XP than weaker ones, taking on a big enemy can result in characters jumping from 1 attack to 3 attacks per battle in one fight. Characters do not have to be in your active party to receive XP

    Combat
    • Perfect blocking awards more meter and protects better against chip damage, if you perfect block an attack that is the start of a string you can continue perfect blocking by manually inputting the blocks on the next attacks, if you miss one your character just regular blocks the rest of the string
    • Purple attacks are magic, they are unblockable
    • You can super with multiple characters during the same super flash if you input super with the characters you want at the exact same time, you can also input 2 characters at once and level 2 with one of them if you have 3 meter instead of doing 3 level 1s.
    • Juggles give better meter
    • Guard All doesn't drain meter until the enemy enters attack state (so holding it is the easiest way to block the cat's laser, if it does something else you can just react to that).

    Character
If an up/down attack's use isn't immediately apparent to you it probably builds meter better than a neutral. (Thanks @Lex for most of the numbers)
    Ajna (open)
Losing her is game over, though that is expected to change

    Attacks
    Neutral - Arrows one after the other - 710 (235, 235, 235)
Up - Jumps and fires several arrows at once downward in a spread - 1420 (235x6, assuming all arrows hit)

    Supers

    Razmi (open)
Keeps juggles going from anywhere, has a debuff, up attack builds tons of meter, has AoE super and heal

    Attacks
Neutral - Magic attack that tracks, if the first hit happens to miss in a juggle the rest will still hit - 1800
Up - Magic attack that tracks, very tall, builds a ton of meter, has a very long recharge - 1300
Down - Slow, stacks up to 3 times (TRIGGERS CAT SUPER) - 200

    Supers
    1 - Heal for 1500
    2 - Ranged attack, hits everything in path - 3200 + 220*X (X varies depending on positioning)

    Secrets
    • Ringsels are just a collectible currently
    • Finding the cat requires speed boost, fighting the cat requires Helmbreaker

I found this, might be useful for speedrunning which I am not going to really try to do.

The only way I've found to get a hit on the cat before the fight starts (so far) is to do speedboost and go into slide, which gives you obviously some slight damage on him but also gives you initiative.

You have to block pretty instantly (it looks reactable but I haven't done it) so I would suggest pre-blocking, he actually gets it for at least 2 phases.

even without speedboost the slide can hurt it a little bit, though i did that once and i'm unsure if it actually happened.

I guess i am too slow... Or i don't have enough health when it shoots because even with blocking the whole party dies.

Slide hurts and gives initiative, I started pretty much all my fights with it. Also, wouldn't everything in the "secrets and tricks" thread be a spoiler?

After all, spoilers make your car go faster, so it's a speedrunning trick.

So is the Manote counted as a hidden boss? Because there are supposed to be two, I just don't know if that counts as hidden or not.

No, you just retained the speed boost property while in the air I think, since obviously you need at least that. Making her movement more fluid was a big part of after, they talked about it in the AX video.
writeup for those not wanting to dig (open)
That's why I made the thread, yeah, so we wouldn't have to do what we're doing but I did it in the first post just because I didn't want someone to click on the thread and immediately read something that should be a surprise if they were just seeing if the thread used spoilers or not. Bad decision on my part.

Upgraded counter might not be in this, we probably just got the first level.

I could be wrong, I just don't know how you'd get the later version.

    There's a counter?

Also, is there a way to get back to the beginning? The cliff near where you unlock Tungar seems scalable by someone better at wall climbing than I am. (Never could get out of that pit...)

Yeah it seems battle characters generally have same functionality in game world as normal. I managed to pickup a ringlet while in battle.

    That's fucking awesome.

L1 when you get axe is block, just parry attacks in the overworld. I don't know about using it in the actual battles though, or using the bow for that matter. I really hope that stuff isn't gone.

Go over to the right and scale the thing right in front of it, it's pretty easy to get back to the start, I haven't found any pit stuff unless that stuff right before the boss is supposed to be scalable somehow without the spear (or is the spear in and I'm dumb?)

I liked it, thought it was strange that Roti was didn't move when I got closer so I was expecting something to happen and I was happy with what I got.

Were you able to counter or use the bow in an actual fight? I've been perfect blocking a bit, though I guess I don't know if I did it with Ajna specifically. Any time I initiated a fight with the bow I went into axe mode. Or do you just mean the game in general?

Been trying to figure out how to switch weapons this whole time and haven't. I understand if they didn't put other weapons in the build, but I can't even figure out how to switch to bow or bare handed (if you can). Even if bow isn't done you even start with bare hands.

I guess the list so far of things people might not know is
Explosive arrows = shoot arrows, hold bow and hit attack
Block works in overworld once you have the axe, tap block when being attacked in the over world for counter.
Helmbreaker is down + attack in overworld (great opener)

Prolly some lore I missed out on earlier in the year lol. ANYWAY, wow I never actually got that final flash from the scribble cat, maybe I'm just lucky? It felt way easier this time, I mean obviously with three healers it would be but I actually beat it first try...

The purple Hungry Ghost needed to skip the Prototype Manote fight, Mike demonstrated the run before anyone was able to do it if I recall and during the run named that specific one Rodney. There being only one purple one in this build and that it's a secret by itself says to me that it's definitely him.

Hungry Ghost. Think Preta, though Preta are also in Indivisible.

After you beat the guy at the end you get speedboost, just dash and continue to hold forward.

The Manote on the roof gives you Helmbreaker.

Hi all! First ever post on this forum.
So, I got stuck in one spot, and before I report it as a bug I wanna make sure it's actually a bug and not just me being too dumb to figure out a puzzle, heheh.

Right here it looks like I should be able to just walk to the left; but instead, it's as if there's an invisible wall there.
When I swing my axe, it treats it as if it's intersecting a wall.
    Pic One (open)
    20171113182159_1_axe.jpg

And I can even stick an arrow in it.
    Pic Two (open)
    20171113182143_1_arrow.jpg

I thought it was on purpose (magic invisible wall?) but there doesn't seem to be anyplace else I can go.
When I jumped back up, the screen didn't scroll with me: Ajna was on the floor above where she should be but the screen was still looking down on this lower level. Seems like a bug. What d'y'all think?
