I found that inputting snap during grab mode (the trash can) with 2 kick buttons consumes a level of hype for no additional effects and I am sure it is not intentional.
 
I found more things related to it and tried to edit the first post, but I could not, apologies.

Spending last level of hype on EX pin does not trigger referee.

I am not sure if its intentional, but spending 3 levels of hype in a grab mode, then killing with a pin from another grab mode in the same combo also does not trigger referee. Patch notes made it sound like if at any point in the combo you spent or had 3 levels of hype, press would end with the penguin. I can post my setup for that if you have trouble reproducing it.

so like mp/mk+hk?

should that not like count as a snap by the game's input system?

okay then.

Maybe Mike can play off of that or something. Make Trash Can Kick even better and have a longer assist lock out time or something.

Found another strange bit with pin, at full hype (including a combo where all hype is spent) Beowulf's non EX Canis Major Press will do 1550 damage if used as the last hit of the match, whether raw or fully scaled. Doesn't seem intentional unless I missed something in the patch notes, especially considering scaling is(?) taken into account for the penguin.(Edit: since I checked this, EX version doesn't take into account combo scaling either even though the patch notes say(?) that it does. Either version of pin will do 1550 damage as the last hit of the match if the combo starts from full hype.)

Edit: while the 1550 is unaffected by combo scaling, it is affected by the standard for your team size, so 2015 for 1.3 and 2247(.5? idk if the game rounds up or down or at all) for 1.45. If this is all that's meant by "opponent's life is below 1550*Beo's damage multiplier" then that makes sense for the EX version, but doesn't explain why the regular version does this higher damage value.

Edit: Just saw that this got fixed, I feel so handy! :D
