Big Band AI Broken?

Yo. I've never reported a game problem before, so if I'm doing something wrong, please tell me, but I've found a problem with Big Band's AI on the steam version of the game. On difficulty settings above Sleepwalk, Big Band will remain in a perfectly neutral position if the player character is in the air. I haven't done extensive testing on this, but I tried staying airborne for as long as possible against an AI Big Band with Painwheel, Ms. Fortune, and Filia, and at no point did he take any action, including blocking when I attacked. The only time he did move was when the AI difficulty was set to Sleepwalk, as mentioned before.
 
Yep, I can confirm this as well. Testing the game in training mode with the AI set to nightmare and the slo-mo on, it's clear that Big Band only moves on the frame when your character touches the ground. Testing this with Fukua, he only blocks air love darts when I land before, or just as they hit him.
