Binding of Isaac : After Rebirth

I started playing the original about a week ago, and today I made my first run with Eve. I'm still a noob, so I managed to pick both Cursed Skull and Scapular without realizing the infinite loop this would cause. Also, I had no bombs left for some reason.
Cue repeating a boss fight with The Husk about 40 times before doing it with no damage taken. I feel like a twat.
 
I bet that on the 40th battle the Husk was all like:

Aw yiss the victory was sweet. I danced a little in my chair when he died.
But I promptly killed myself on the next level because fuck infinite 1/2-heart lives, I am not ready for that shit.
 
I got a one die room and it gave me Quad shot, Ipodimc, Split shot, and something that gave me a delay shot so essentially every room went in to and covered it in EXPLOSIONS, IT WAS AWESOME (also full health and only losing a heart per room at most and getting it right before it lives so I was safe for the end)
 
I recently got Rebirth and I am having fun with it. Though the best run I have so far has Polyphemus boosted fear tears and flies everywhere.
 
another stupid run, but where I learned a few things about some "synergies" :
- rubber cement (bouncing tears) while make piercing tears not pierce anymore, as they'll bounce on contact, so zombros and masks of infamy will become a pain again.
- inner eye doesn't seem to change the amount of tears you shoot when you have monstro's lung. You still get the excrutiatingly long chage time, though...So, again, not a good idea.

That being said, enjoy a run ending with death's touch, pulse worm, cricket's head, monstro's lung, pact, and proptosis...oh, and being guppy :
In the category "I fill up the screen with tears and kill everything in the room instantly", I think I pretty much won.
 
Does anybody else have that one item that you just can't find? I'm trying to get the Platinum God trophies and I just can't get the Breath of Life to appear in the angel rooms! Finding Steven was a real pain too considering that in over 200 runs I only found the Steven boss a handful of times. Gotta love that RNG.

I'd be complaining about Godhead too, but I'm playing on vita and it's glitched right now so it can't unlock no matter what sooo.... I'm waiting on the patch to complain properly :P
 
how to become guppy in a single room :
devil room, one red heart container.
one heart deal 9 lives, red chest containing free guppy's collar, one heart deal guppy's hairball.
take 9 lives, sets you back at one red heart container, take guppy's collar, take hairball, congrats, you're now a fly factory. As Azazel. With 10 lives.
Boss rush room here I come.

and boss rush room gives me triple shot and dark bum...
Did I mention I had holy mantle.


How to perfect womb+cathedral+chest, bitch.

Yeah that nerf is harsh.
It's a space bar devil deal item, god damn it. It deserves to be good (yes, I think lump of coal is good).
 
I didn't like head of Krampus before, and now I despise the thing. 95% of the time I would prefer Lump Of Coal over Krampus Head, now its 100%.

Had a pretty good run, Guppy Triple Homing Brimstone Money Damage with lots of random stuff. One hit kill on both Mom's Heart and Satan, pretty cool.

The feeling when you manage to get in a normal run the same weird build you got in a basement seed run :
death touch, proptosis, ipecac, cricket's head.

Now what's so special about that build? It seems powerful right?
Well it's actually one of the worst you could ever get. Weird right?

ipecac makes you shoot explosive tears. death touch makes you tears waaaay bigger. Combined with proptosis, it makes tears HUGE. Which means huge hitbox. Cricket's head helps too.
BUT the size of the explosion doesn't change! So when you shoot an enemy, the tear hits it....but not the explosion, because the epicenter is too far away from the limits of the tear! And the tear is so big you probably hit yourself in the process, while the enemy stare at you, a bit surprised the only damage it took comes from the poisoning.
So either you hit yourself, or don't hit anything, or you hit something far enough away that the tear do too little damage because of the proptosis damage fall-off.

Still won somehow. Was fun. Somehow.
 
I became Lord of The Flies today with Forever Alone, Halo of Flies, and Infestation. The last one with huge health bonuses, Soul Hearts, and Prayer Card made the game a cake walk. I didn't even realize I made it all the way to Mom until the game told me.
 
I'm pissed I didn't get the parasite nor became guppy, nor get the chance to fight mega satan. It would have been the perfect run.
But I guess I can't complain when I got tears upgrades, cricket's head, small rock, rubber cement, blood clot, mark, lump of coal, cancer, toxic liquid, cricket's body, triple shot and spoon bender.

Enter room, shoot for 2 seconds in any direction, stop, wait for enemies to die and tear storm to dissipate, enter next room.

I just managed to one shot blue baby with one bob's brain...

Many damage ups, death's touch, parasite, sad bomb, guppy.
The explosion did 80% of his health, the flies created by the tears from the explosion did the rest.

boom.

I actually only have real platinum god because I downloaded a 100% save and replaced my save because nobody has the patience to unlock everything unless you are a pro at the game. Not to mention I had to unlock the items for the lost, so I decided to say screw this and I went to Google to find a fully completed save file. And that everyone Is the story of how I obtained real platinum god
 
What is the point of getting achievements if you don't earn them, though.

I'd guess bragging rights, but you're already pretty open on cheating your way towards them, so hey.

I think one thing I suggested on reddit managed to get through, but we'll have to see on release. Ed said not all the stuff he noted were guaranteed.
 
Soy Milk on Azazel isn't as fun as it sounds.

One thing that I read but requires confirmation : soy milk + chocolate milk
You don't need to charge then release your shots, the tear rate looks like soy milk rate, but every shot is a fully charged one, so your dps is x3

Wait is it another remake? Or an expansion? Full 3D?
