Chuck P's Training Diary

an absolute guard is when you pushblock a multihit attack and switch from crouch blocking to stand blocking or vice versa.

Basically it means that when you pushblock something like cerecopter or butcher's blade, theres a period when you can't get mixed up. Theres a better explanation somewhere.

an example: a friend plays double/squig (c.Hp) he jumps in on me as double obviously with j.Hp and calls assist and i get lucky blocks but thats a high/low so do i pushblock just as squiggly comes in assuming he jumps and calls

i felt like making a scrubass video about my past analog salt but i had so much fun playing usf4 and skullgirls with the new pad i'll put up all the sets eventually get ready for a pocket pw team prolly gonna end up using H brass or L extend assist

set vs the senpai the sensei...Lawnba
i talk about everything i dont really understand so give me tips n stuff

@Chuck N. Plazma I have some advice based on watching that set. You can read my suggestions or not read them, since I know not everyone likes unsolicited advice. I left them in a spoiler tag so the choice is yours.
-You leave bleeding characters in way too long when you have safe DHCs all over the place with this team. Get your characters out when they're low on life.

-Related to the above point, you save your meter too much. You play point Peacock, it's ok to spend meter lol. Use it to get characters out when you need to or convert off stuff you couldn't convert off otherwise.

-You don't always have to do the max damage combo if you don't need it to kill. You missed a lot of chances to kill characters cause you tried to do more combo than you needed. Sometimes all you need is 1-2 chains into super (spend your meter).

-Recognize when you're too far for your normal combo and adjust accordingly. M Buer Reaper instead of L Buer Reaper, Sniper instead of Tear Shot, etc. To be fair you get better about this over the course of the set.

-You never cancel Parasoul level 3. Why not? Its good. There are times you don't want to cancel for the extra invincibility, but I would say most of the time you do want to cancel it to get a combo or pressure off it.

-You have H Pinion on this team for that Peacock reset but over the course of those 9 games you did it like twice. You should use it when you get clean hits, it's good. It would also help to go into it earlier in the combo so that it hits with less scaling. Even if you're not planning on resetting, I would still do it since you can probably do a much more damaging combo with it than without it.
Speaking of the two times you do this reset:
-1st time: You went same side the very first time you did the reset. I would make them prove they have good blocks before I gave them that reset, I would do crossup or air grab first.
-2nd time: You went crossup but you let Parasoul hit the ground and she Pillared you. You need to make sure the item hits while they're in the air otherwise you negate a big part of its usefulness, which is the fact that they can't ground reversal. You also need to hit confirm off the item, otherwise you negate another big part of its usefulness, which is the fact that you can block while you're doing the reset.

So I think Band with HBrass on my team would be better considering that it benefits peacock zoning and Painwheel's offense I'm just sacrificing the safe pillars and lvl 3s that I was never good at in the first place and I'd have to work on my anchor band and find a decent color because that's what really matters

Another set video, i lost 10-5. I dont really have any matchup experience against Fortune not just with Peacock but in general so i got exploded on but luckily it wasnt a short set so picked up some data. I like the matchup of PW vs. Fortune my BB still needs work, i messed up a lot of reversal inputs and dropped all combos that costed me games

It has been some time
So... I don't want to drop Peacock but when i play the PW/BB duo i actually get to play and control neutral better than when i play the trio. PW's resets are buns without assists but (H)brass doesn't help but i still really like it to where i don't want to change. I'm not sure how viable this is
but when they forward tech I'm able to do a high/low and left/right mix with j.lp flying low to the ground im still working on the video for the mix and setup on other parts of the screen.
other than that my current problems are: Vs. Fortune headless(in general), pbgc Vs. double string, BigBand Combo off anti-air c.mk(godlike), resets(PW T-T)
