So, i've been playing skullgirls for what, 1 or 2 months now, and i am in trouble with something.

I use a normal xbox 360 wired pad, before going into the topic.

The normal layout of the controller settings in skullgirls, sets the macros for the assists, and since i didn't plan to use teams, only solo characters (and i still don't), i changed the macros for lp+mp and lk+mk, so i would be able to press those buttons to get the supers, dashes, etc. So, i don't have any macros for assist, and i am unable to press the combination for the first assist, (a light and a medium). So i thought, hey, maybe i should take the macros in the original format (assists), and actually press 2 punches and 2 kicks for supers and dashes, but there is one trouble, while i can use supers by doing that just fine by using one shoulder button and one face button (HP. and LP for example), but i can't dash all the time, maybe the timing for pressing the 2 buttons is very specific in the dash and more loose to do a blockbuster, idk. And there is supers that are specific to what buttons you are using, so i would need to press 2 face buttons at the same time, and the only way i can do that is for x+a or b+ y that are lp+lk and mk+mp. I could activate the right stick assists and leave everything else the way it is, but i don't like the idea of using the analog stick.

But you may ask: but sotherius, if you don't plan to use teams, why are you bothering with the assists? well, while i don't plan to use teams, i want to learn to use them, so i can understand the game as a whole better.

So i thought, is there a way for me to be able to use all combinations possible without having to be macro dependant in a 360 pad? i've seen people using the right in the face buttons like they were playing a keyboard, but how someone does that and transition to the shoulder buttons with the right timing?

Is there a control layout that allows me to do all button combinations holding the pad like i hold normally? Someone with pad experience, help me, please!

I've been playing this game for 3 years on default settings pad and have always had my macros set to lk+mp on L1 and mp+hk on L2, I never had a problem with this layout, but I also don't use button dashes on the ground. I say either learn to call assists manually with combinations like lk+hp for assist 1 and lp+hk for assist 2 and keeping the dash macros or use assist macros and not button dash...
