CyberFront (JP Publisher) dissolved.

I'm starting to think lab zero is jinxed. Normal bad luck never goes that far.

But the team is strong. Mike is probably fixing bugs and making SG even better, the man is too awesome to cry over this

Well, it would be nice to not constantly be in crisis mode, but I do think we have a knack for turning these crises to our advantage.

Going to float an idea to Autumn that I think would be a huge improvement in the Japanese situation, and could lead to more for the game as a whole.

oh? Sounds promising.

Next step: Steam gets taken down.
Don't even joke about that ._.

I am going to slice off the head of someone who starts linking these unfortunate events to what makes up Skullgirls etc.

Seriously.... like, hugs to all of Lab Zero. :/

Is this like the plot of Holes, where Mike Z has to carry a gypsy's descendant up a mountain to lift a curse?

Or did Lab Zero get built on top of an Indian Burial Ground?
BEcause this bad luck simply can't be coincidence.
Hope something gets worked out

I assume that some time in years past, Mike mugged an old gypsy lady while standing on an ancient Indian burial ground.

Edit: Jutsei and I posted at the same time. Creepy.

Best fighting game to come out in a long time, gets shit on in every way conceivable. Take that for making an amazing game, Lab Zero? Maybe it should have been more like MvC3...

IT'S NOT OVER YET, GUYS

This is all just to make things suitably dramatic before Lab Zero unleashes their full power.
MAQL seems like a bunch of cool guys. So I expect them to help out in this time of need.

They're swimming in that Senran Kagura cash, right?

I don't know, seems like MvC3's luck has been turning bad lately as well.

I know what happened....
You hear about stuff like this in legends, but you just laugh it off....but now I know.
I know the legends are real.
Legends of a man....woman....an underdog...growing far stronger and greater than they should.
Legends of when the gods begin to know fear.
Legends of a new god....and new god that the gods of old do everything in their power to keep them from sustaining that godliness.
Skullgirls is that underdog.
The gaming gods have come to know fear.
...Skullgirls has become too godlike...and now the gaming gods unleash their wrath in an effort to avoid being dethroned.

Little do they know that the challenges Skullgirls face only make it stronger....tougher.....bouncier.
The days of the old gods are coming to an end.
Will you be there to witness the birth of a new one?
SKULLGIRLS

Skullgirls: Now there is no hope
Narrator: And Skullgirls cast itself from the highest mountain in the FGC. After 2 years of suffering, after 2 years of endless nightmares, it would finally come to an end. Death would be their escape from the Stream Monsters. But it had not always been this way.
*Two Weeks Earlier*
Narrator: Skullgirls had once been the champion of the FGC.
Skullgirls: Foul infinites! I will send you back to the depths of Marvel!
Covenant's speech reminded me of God of War

L0 at this point reminds me of Eugene from the old Hey Arnold cartoon.
Eugene has a terrible luck streak escalated to the max (he is literally called a "jinx" by the other kids in the show), but he always shakes it off by the next scene/episode with a prompt "I'm OK" no matter whatever sadistic incident he participated in.

But like Eugene, Lab Zero's always OK

Quick Question: What exactly was Cyberfront's role in distributing SG in Japan? Just the PS3 version?

And isn't MAQL the one to be releasing the 360 version of SG in Japan?

Crusader No Remorse?
actually i think this is from No Regret.

There is no Xbox 360 version released in Japan as far as I know. Hardly anyone in Japan own a 360.

Feels like a parody at this point.

I think there will be one though. That Lab Zero explanation does say this:
At the same time this publisher transition is complete, MarvelousAQL will enable Japanese XBLA sales of Skullgirls Encore

xbox has a handful of shmups and visual novels. it have its niche

*Looks at latest news. Takes a chug of bourbon. Tears off face, lights head on fire. Gets on motorcycle*

THE GHOST RIDER HUNGERS FOR VENGEANCE!

Ugh....I can't believe so much bad news before the holidays. :( You guys have my support and sympathies. You'll beat this too.

Pff, just a scratch for L0.

Lab Zero is like... a super zombie.

What does a doctor who's hubris lead to his downfall have to do with L0?

An exemplar body and a brilliant brain, both put together and both brought back from the dead

Frankenstein never came back from the dead. It's been years, but I'm pretty sure his kid just get killed. Frankenstein gets punished for his hubris in creating life without considering what his creation would need or desire. I mean, if Skullgirls just dies now, I guess the comparison is somewhat apt.
