Robo Fortune Ms. Fortune Beowulf
Been a while since I last played competitively. sometime around Jan. I just dropped from the face of the world for a while. Recently picked up Robo-Fort and have no idea what shes capable of just yet. I have a couple goofy combos going but I forget what her buttons do a lot of the time, or accidentally do something I didn't mean to do. Also trying to re-learn and continue some Beo, but right now i have the same problems i did when i tried him during his beta phase. I still don't understand his neutral or options to get in just yet. and last but not least, Im working on waking up my Fortune again and re-learn all the goofy shenanigans i had developed. There's some new stuff mixed with some old stuff i just found.

TL;DR: I picked a wonky team that I have recently been training, story mode, and a couple quick matches to un-rust. My Robo and Beo are complete fraud characters and not good.
Finally played some high level matches last night against @Lawnba and @Duckator. Haven t started recording anything just testing out the waters for now.

Anyways heres my short initial thoughts on the two sets I had.

Lawnba: This guy has his team down to the nail. I cant remember how to deal with all of Peacocks projectiles and kept forgetting to avoid SOD. took me a while to recognize his teleport mixups and some of his other resets. A lot of new tech and flashy pea combos i never saw. Got in a couple times only to mess up and drop a lot of combos and forgetting routes. Need to work on blocking and getting in more often. Great games to learn from overall. finally score was about 11 - 0

Duck: first 8-10 rounds i tried out my team but wasn't quite working, got a couple hits in but not enough to really damage. Switched to solo Fortune for the rest of the night. throughout the set i kept dropping crucial parts or using really un-optimized combos. after about 16 or 18 matches i finally took a match from duck using solo fort. at that point i started to calm down a bit and play a bit clearer, still dropping a lot of stuff. end score was 20-2.

Overall with both sets: I need to stop jumping around so much and pushblocking everything all the time. Also need to not press too many buttons, bad habit for sure. Right now im playing really messy and sloppy, it really shows. It was only in the second half of the fight against duck that i started to play a bit more patiently. I also need to learn better routes and stop falling for updo all over again.

Thanks again for the matches and ill come at you two again another time.
I'll start recording some matches in the future for FURther analysis.

Take care!
