Or does it only work on Windows? Since it's an optional hidden feature and all, it's not a deal breaker if it's been broke for a while. I find the result funny, honestly!

I decided to give it a try this evening, and this is the screen that came up on Ubuntu. Just the green dash and a soft lock on the game. Wouldn't let me go back to the previous menus or anything.

I'm assuming you right clicked on Skullgirls and selected Properties, General, and typed -enablereplays in the Set Launch Options portion. Have you played matches after it? It wont magically recover previous matches, only the ones you play after you -enablereplays. This is going to sound dumb, but have you pressed all the buttons? Pressing start or select usually gets me out.

That's what the UI looks like, yeah.
You're missing the text and images that tells you how to control this screen; It probably crashed before it loaded them.

Only people that might be able to help you are those who run the Linux version who troubleshooted this issue themselves, or the Linux developer perhaps?

Check your game folder and see if it's able to save a crash log.

I would have to enable crash logs via another parameter before that would work, I think? I can't find any as it is now. I did find the replay files, though!

And what's odd is I got it to work now. It still doesn't show anything but green dashes, but the replays work! (Increasing or decreasing the number of the lines with the d-pad scrolls through them, then pressing low kick to play one.) Now I can analyze when I'm doing badly in the game and improve, and rewatch cool matches with my friends.

Yeah, I played a few rounds before I went to the replay theater. (Since I didn't have any replays saved before enabling it.) And Start/Select does the trick for exiting it for me.

Ima mark this one as solved now. The GUI's not super elegant, but I'm fine with that. The fact that the feature's there at all is nice.
