Dragon Ball FighterZ

I personally wouldn't have an issue either, specially if Kefla pops in. Needs more girl powa. My only thing is a Kid version of Goku. Like... uhg.

Typical as of leak lists, someone sees a "leak list", doesn't like it, and makes up their own usually adding in their favorite characters.
 
Yamcha's combos are weird but I figured out a decent one

Hit's combos are just weird

Piccolo's combos suck I'm waiting for buffs
 
I found both Frieza and Beerus to be a blast to play but I can't exactly get the hang of 18. Need to get Story Mode done soon so I can try 21.

Having a lot of fun with the game. It might be a few days before I go online, still figuring out a team.

No you can't. You have to have a special edition of the game + that only applies to console players.

Also some new stuff found thanks to datamining! Wips of models for Saiyan era Vegeta and Goku... Trunks with the giant energy sword he weilds to kill Zamasu... Some new mods too?

 
Oh yeah, speaking of datamining, the same guy who posted the datamining video also has another datamining video with names found in the coding that could be potential DLC as well as new game modes. And the names found in the coding are interesting to say the least. (Or totally predictable to some people regarding a certain Saiyan.)
Now will these characters be future DLC? Honestly, I'm not even sure. We'll just have to wait and see.
 

Also, Yeah. I am a tad annoyed that Beerus' orbs are so easily stopped. But as Kawa said, his normals are pretty solid. Especially that c.M.

Because Broly's power is maximum and I liked him better even though he's non canon. Honestly with the excuse of multiple universes should have been the excuse to legitimize Broly instead of making the rule 63 version of him.

It would help if Kale was an actually good character so far.

Granted, Broly isn't either, but... he has a more established fighting style. And shown a backstory at all.

Edit: Late night reading comprehension fail. DB in general, Broly can stay non-canon. Kale's a mostly blank slate, so she has more potential.

At this point you need to be lobbying for Chi-chi and Launch to get in the game alongside the Hercule crowd. That and Ribrianna if you want good female representation. But I guess us "nerds" are in the wrong for wanting the character who has been established for a decade in a good fighting game instead of the obvious and shallow rip-off character.
no seriously, Broly is just cooler. I have no attachment to Super or it's characters.

Edit: Bulma as a capsule based Trap character would also be interesting mechanically. But they are pretty clear on wanting characters that can actually fight and not just gimmicks.

Speaking of the datamining video in my previous post, I rewatched it and noticed that there were a couple of things next to some characters names. Like Krillin (Police), Yamcha (Baseball), and Frieza (First Form), and Yamcha (Casual) and Android 18 (Casual). To me it sounds like they're alternate costumes that we might get at some point in time.

There was also another name in the coding that I didn't even noticed until the 2nd rewatch: Great Saiyaman. So he's going to be a new addition to the roster, or an alternate costume for Adult Gohan. (Hopefully with the voice changed to Great Saiyaman's because that would be sweet.)

Another name I noticed was: Android 17 (Ranger). So if y'all like Ranger 17, he's there in the coding.

I'ma wait for real info. Given the number of lobby chars and possible left over data lurking around, I'll just wait. Not saying it's wrong or what not, but I'm not taking to it like the near accurate MvCI list was

Just because is absolutely trash at making female characters doesn't mean there SHOULDN'T be any in the future.
It's like a huge problem for dragon ball imho, it would appeal to so many more people if they actually had female representation.

I couldn't stick with the series because of how horrible they were with it.

I'd also love Bulma's "Killing crabs in the ocean" form. Could be a Tron Bonne type.

[Edit] DB Super "Pan with a shotgun" would also be cool.
Chichi as a MvC 2 Jill Valentine "dodge the random enemies that hurt the enemy" type would also be interesting.

Then again, I like weird joke characters and am solidly in Team Satan.

And that's why we have Android 21. A combination of two arc villain categories who also has a penchant for sensually eating her enemies. Maybe it's better to not try and have Dragon Ball champion female characters when it's squarely oriented around a bunch of men charging Ki blasts and punching at each other for long durations of time.

Look, I'm going to level with you. If you walk into virtually any Shonen action series and expect there to be a wide cast of female characters or quality representation. You are not going to be happy. That would be the equivalent of walking into Sailor moon or any Magical Girl series or Shoujo and asking for good male representation besides crazy possessive boyfriends and 'stale as week old Ginger-ale" male leads.

You gotta understand that Seinin/Josei is where it's at for better writing. Not the stuff aimed at 12 year olds.

That's exactly why it should be putting more female characters into their series, because girls deserve that shit just as much as boys do.

They clearly -can- since they made Android 21 but them not adding either of the female saiyans is an actual embarrassment.
 
could it be possible the game finalized before Caulifa and Kale were given any proper heads up on their powers, including DLC?

Stuff isn't created because "X demographic deserves it." Stuff is created either to fulfill an internal vision and/or bring home sweet, sweet income. Otherwise, I need to ask, what did we do to deserve The Human Centipede? Or Sharknado 3?

Given how long game development takes and how many decision makers are involved in major corporate undertakings, chances are they didn't know how popular the Universe 6 Saiyans would be and didn't want blowback for pushing what might have become an unpopular arc. I could just as easily see the Internet saying, "Kale's not happening, stop trying to make Kale happen. Health food gets thrown in the trash where it belongs. What, is her super-attack a power smoothie? Is that why her aura's green?"

Last time I checked, girls can still like Dragonball even with the sever minority the female cast makes up. I don't see why asking Akira Toriyama or whatever company owns Dragonball at this point, to add more female characters, when by your own admission they suck at it. Is going to help anyone.

People in this thread expressing various on why her eating animations are presented as her orgasming while eating which contrasts to Buu just kind of wolfing down a giant cookie with no subtext to read in. Now I'm not going to bemoan 21 because that stuff never bothered me and her mechanics look solid, but this is what I'm talking about and you acknowledge in your own words. Why do you want Dragonball to add more women when they don't write women in ways that please this notion of representation? And how many OC characters need to be added to satisfy you.

I thought their fusion was one of the DLC characters? Or did they do that early in I haven't been watching at all slkjdfslfk

Really my main argument for all this stuff is just this: Fighting games and character variety in both designs and fighting styles are very important to the overall presentation of the game. Having an extremely limited lady roster, especially in a 3v3 fighting game, can make the presentation not as good as it could be. In a genre that's already heavily oversaturated with guy characters, even just being a lady does make a character hold a different context that can add more dynamic to the overall roster.

Just imagine if Skullgirls was flipped and we had all guys except lady Big Band and Beowulf, it'd be a totally different experience in a lot of cases! And that difference could have been make or break for Skull...guys.

Part of why not adding the female saiyans can be seen as an embarrassment is that, no matter how you feel on how they were written, they're still a significant point in Dragon Ball's history as the very very first lady saiyans after decades of Dragon Ball not having lady super saiyans. Them not being included in content outside of the show makes it feel like they don't actually care about that point in its history and all that, you get what I'm saying?

Friend pointed out that those models are clearly in there for cutscenes, so don't take things like that leak as the gospel
 
Then why does the Goku model have his belt from the Saiyan arc

Didn't play that far into story mode but from what I gathered at one point Vegeta appears literally with that armor on. Maybe some kind of flashback or some shit.
