Dragon Ball FighterZ

Small detail maybe but i love how the eyes aren't shaded.
I guess it's been part of dbz games for a while though (like wasn't it there already in Budokai 3?)
 
The part where they talk about Piccolo's arm is pretty hilarious. Almost like reading a Stretch Armstrong ad.

Also, mashing for more Destructo Disc?! I'm in love.
 

The amount of polish and references in this game boggles the mind. Its like every signle normal is a rip from the anime or manga.

Update on closed beta news
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. would like to thank all its fans for their tremendous support for DRAGON BALL FighterZ. We recently announced at EVO 2017 that the closed beta sign-ups for DRAGON BALL FighterZ would begin on July 26, 2017; due to the volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement, we have decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta in an effort to enable more players to participate in the program.

We are also working to bolster our background systems to ensure that the closed beta registration and selection process can accept the volume of anticipated sign-ups. However, these efforts will necessitate a slight delay for the closed beta sign-up date, which will move to August 22, 2017 with the official start of the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta officially commencing from September 16 -18.

We would like to thank all of our fans for their patience and understanding; we look forward to sharing more news about the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta program soon. Thank you.

Considering Beerus is in Super I don't think he counts as a movie villain. And I'll be VERY surprised if he isn't in the game with how popular he is. Though they might keep him for DLC.

beerus is a movie villain it's just that the movie is canon
 
Does he counts as a movie villain if he is Super too but its only in his movie and the beginning of Super that he is a villain ? :p

More seriously, given that he was in the previous ASW DBZ game and pretty popular too, I'd say i'd be actually surprised if he wasnt in the base roster to begin with.

The latest issue of Weekly Jump reveals that both Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegata are playable in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
The latest issue of V-Jump also reveals that both Android 16 and Android 18 are also playable.

Super Saiyan Blue Goku can use “10x God Kamehameha.
”Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta can use “Final Flash Attack.”
Android 16 can use “Hell’s Flash” at its maximum output.
Android 18 can use “Accel Dance,” which is a combination attack that summons Android 17.
It is unknown if this is the only capacity in which Android 17 will appear.

Previously announced playable characters include Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, Frieza, Majin Buu, Trunks, Krillin, and Piccolo.

Weekly Jump also reveals that the game will have a story mode involving a revived Android 16 where “super warriors fall one by one.
”It is described as “a new story for Goku and friends depicted in high-end animation.”

And V-Jump also reveals online party matches, which are three-versus-three online matches with different players controlling each character.
Of course, characters will switch in real time.

Yeah honestly 17 being just a cameo makes sense. He is very similar to 18 (unless his new appearance in Super changed that, didn't see it yet) and she's way more popular.

And yay for 16, I love his fight with Cell in DBZ. One of true high points in the serie.
 
3v3 mode sounds like a hoot honestly. Sad 18 doesn't have Destructo Disc too but hey, 18 =D

They're not installs. Firstly, look at Vegeta's portrait. It's different from his regular one. Frieza's portrait stays the same when he transforms into Golden Frieza.

Also, the website code says otherwise.

People looked at the code of the website. Trunks, Cell, Frieza, Krillin, and Piccolo's names were normal.

However, both Vegeta and Goku's names began with the letters "SS" (Meaning Super Sayian, no surprises here, but it's a nice conformation that they're different characters.)

Gohan's name began with "Y" (Meaning "Youth", most likely, which means that we'll be getting either Mystic Gohan, or Great Saiyaman.)

Buu's name began with a "Z" (Probably meaning "Zen" or "God", which refers to when his shape and personality are closest to the Kai he swallowed. So, either Super Buu or Kid Buu are in the game.)

Both the androids have been kicking ass in the latest arc, with 17 being one of the more popular ones. He was able to even take on Super Sayin Blue without breaking a sweat.

18's blue vest outfit is good, but I personally still love her other outfit.

I certainly doubt any costumes are possible. Method of animation of this game is same as Xrd and that makes costumes almost as impossible to do as with 2D sprites.

Unless they want to remake every frame from scratch.
 
Ok now that we got SSB Goku and Vegeta, We need Goku Blck and/or Super Sayin Rose Goku Black so we can have a team of Gokus.
 
Black's pretty much guaranteed for the Super roster. Most fighting games usually have an evil version of a main character.

I mean yeah, but all the moves they've done for the other characters are all taken from moments in the manga, show, movies, and games.

They could look at some specific normal attacks from the tournament arc for normal combos and grabs. For special moves... that's a little tricky.
 
yeah, but if they are going to add more flavor to the cast, via female chars or such, I'm sure they'll talk to someone to get a proper idea of what to do for the char's lack of special attacks or what ever. plus, she's insanely popular cause "Omg first female Supa Saiyan!" so the devs would be kinda missing a pretty big chance to include a rather new character that's still got some big attention on em
