Drama Tutorial: Need Help

I've completed every other lesson...but I'm stuck on the last part of the Drama lesson u.u. I don't know what is being done wrong, but seemingly no matter the timing it resets me after the first string (c.HP j.MP j.HP j.HK). When I land and connect the s.LP sometimes it just resets before I can do the MK -> c.HP and there are other instances where it won't register as having done that part on the occasion that I do connect those three after landing...help pls u.u

Randomly it will register but I'll be so caught off guard that it worked, I drop the combo anyways. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i'm doing wrong?

It sounds like you're dropping the combo right after j.hk. Check your combo count and see if it stops there.

Reasons you could be dropping your combo: Timing of your chain before it(j.mp->j.hp->j.hk)
or s.lp could be too slow.

I'm dumb -.- You were right though. My issue was that I was spamming LP in the middle of j.HK thinking it would buffer the move for when I landed but it actually comes out slower than if I wait to land first THEN press LP (seems that way anyways, don't know if it's true).

Thanks and sorry for the silly question, should have paid more attention to my inputs. I'm still terribly scrubby at the game, but with this, I have completed the tutorials~
