DISCLAIMER:
I've always tried to do a fun team exhibition for LITERALLY 2 YEARS NOW AND ITS NEVER FUCKING HAPPENED. That said, if this doesn't happen, whatever. HOWEVER, I have full confidence in this now since the teams are waaay more fair in comparison to the other two years.

Bottom Line:
Best 10 in the EC vs 10 best in the world (WC/MW/South/Europe/Brazil/Japan/The Moon/Idgaf)

Rules:
-Each team has a team captain
-POKEMON style
-Each set 2/3

Quick Thing:
THIS HAS TO HAPPEN BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT, the past two years we attempted this we scheduled it "after the tournament" which did not work out because people either weren't that into playing or just straight up didn't want to play. Lets have it before the tournament to make it hype.

The following rosters are in no confirmed order. The orders below are not determined by skill or by how it would actually play out. Keep this in mind.

Team East Coast:
1. keninblack (NJ) (Captain)
2. TempleNut (PA)
3. @SonicFox5000 (DE)
4. @LazyBakemono (NY)
5. @mcpeanuts (MA)
6. @cloudKing211 (NJ)
7. @Lethalmind (NY)
8. @ShadeMoneh (NY)
9. PME (NJ)
10. @Saske (FL)

Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North, Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and/or Florida residence required for spot on team EC.

Team Worldwide:
1. @Dolfinh (NorCal) (Captain)
2. @Swiftfox-Dash (TX)
3. @Skarmand (West Canada)
4. @Duckator (IL)
5. @Elda Taluda (IL)
6. @WingZero (Socal)
7. @CaioLugon (Brasil)
8. @Hirokuni (CO)
9. 159Man (Japan)
10. @Fuzzy_Snugs (MO)

TEAMS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON AVAILABILITY

Players already placed in Team East Coast, if you KNOW for a FACT you can't make it to CB let me know here or privately and you won't have to worry <3 <3 <3

I nominate Duckator or Elda Taluda as team captain of Team WW, its up to all of you though to figure that out. The captain is responsible for the other 9 players present.

I'm in. I have no reason to believe I won't be at Combo Breaker 2016.

We'll need a specific time to do this in order to herd all the cats we'll need. We'll have to wait until the official schedule to figure that out obv. But probably we should aim for the day before the first pools, late in the evening to account for people who have late flights or w/e.

We probably shouldn't try to organize both this and another exhibition (like the 3v3 team tournament last year). It should be just this.

It will be just this, I have no interest in running any other side things. Yes I completely agree. The day BEFORE pools start, or worst case scenario we have Saturday Night before top 16/top whatever on Sunday assuming thats how it will be done. Also if @Mr Peck plans on attending I think he'd fair as a great captain as well, but all of you non EC'rs can discuss it amongst yourselves.

Well that part wasn't really for you it was more for other parties who might try to organize a side thing.

YAAAAAAASH. Yall need to figure out who wants to be captain.

You, Noah, Peck, Duck, are all good choices but its up to you HM HM.

IF (and very very IF) we get Saturday Night Salt again, this event should be the only thing we do on it. Last time was amazing, but we had big hopes for a lot of shit that didn't happen because our mouths were too big. Having something set in stone early will help make it a more hype event on it's own rather than "SGC hangs out on stream" which is fun, but in it's own way.

Ugh, I need to make sure to have plans to come out to Combo breaker. Still haven't been.

Already calling that commentary spot if/when we stream it.

We need one commentator for the world and one commentator for East Coast.

The EC commentator will be Munoz if he attends as my decision as captain, you can be the world commentator. We need THAT BIAS ON BOTH SIDES

Munoz on commentary would be acceptable as well

I agree to these terms.

I chose Munoz as he has no interest (i'd imagine) in participating in the event itself, but would be all sorts of about hyping up the EC. Warped has more then a fair shot to be on the team, and I don't want ANY of the 20 players participating to be on commentary.

Plus most of the good world commentators are probably going to be on the team anyway so I might as well claim my seat at the desk now.

I love how the West Coast is part of "The World" now thanks to POS.

I mention in the OP that every part of the world outside of the WC can be on the team.

Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut

RIP my state ;_;

obviously I'm not nearly good enough to rep EC at this but I can still be sad

I de-nominate myself for being captain as I am not familiar enough with enough players.

WAIT WHAT?! That doesn't make sense.

I just looked up what is considered "midwest" and its...

Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North/South Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

I assume Wikipedia is a load of shit, i'll add Vermont to the list of states allowed. It borders 3 states that ARE East Coast so that doesn't make any sense at all what the fuck.

EDIT: Added PA and Vermont because Wikipedia is SILLY as fuck.

I have an idea in mind for the remaining spots of the EC.

If you live in the EC just make sure you go to NEC, thats for sure ;P

If MrPeck doesn't want to do Team Captain and assuming TJ/Duck don't care, can I nominate myself for Team World Captain? Since I think I keep good track of other players. I think Caio is another fun pick as well.

uhh who are the PA players?
Geno
Me
Sweetpea
Ninja
and i'm forgetting a bunch prolly. Who else is in east coast tho?

For PA, there's at least Pikmario still left, dunno if he would show up but he still plays occasionally.

For East Coast, well there's still the rest of New Your, GU, and Xanadu at the very least still left, and not a lot of other spots left. So there's quite a bit of players to choose from.

You are more then welcome to nominate yourself and if no one comes out and calls you out on it the spots yours.

I'm good with this being next year's SNS event. Like @NCV said, there are some things we need to consider to keep this manageable and on time, optimally <3hrs.

This could conceivably go on for 19 matches, but also as few as 10. If we assume 2/3, with each match taking 7 minutes, and each player transition takes 2 minutes, that puts us at 2hrs 51min minutes maximum (1hr 30min minimum), which I think is solid time frame. We'd need people to move with a sense of purpose, something the SGC isn't known for.

We also need to continue the tradition of rotating commentary, it was one of the things that got the most positive feedback last year.

Time will be fine, it'll easily end in less then 3 hours.

I'm whatever about changing commentators. Lets just keep it to a few though to save time and people that know what they're talking about.

people that know what they're talking about.
Then we'll make a short list. We'll start with last year's SNS commentators and cut it down from there.

We have to have world vs ec bias though for commentators.

So lets just keep this list reaally short haha. Munoz also has to be on it, for the whole time if possible HNGH

I'm interested in commentating.

Seriously though guys, we need to do this BEFORE the tournament. Several times now trying to run it after a tournament it has not happened.

EC vs The World is also really hype because it could actually swing either way.
