I watched the trailer on YouTube just to refresh my memory. I really don't get what's going on here. The game is expected to be rated Mature, and there honestly wasn't even a lot of T&A on display. Like, one or two characters for 1-2 seconds. Also, how do you know the females portrayed are being objectified when there's no information on their personalties or they interact with other characters/how other characters interact with them?



Anyways. Is there still more E3 stuff even happening? Or is it just time for the people who are actually there to play stuff now?

Because they showed off the game in the treehouse. And it gets bad. Pretty, pretty bad.

Of course a mature rating doesn't equal mature game presentation. The people who rate the game are completely different than the people who make it. In fact, at least with this game, I'd say the reason the game has an immature presentation is because they're targeting an immature audience. That's the main demographic they want to hit with this title, the kinds of people who like young/questionably aged girls in "sexy" clothing. I don't see anything morally wrong with this. It's just business. I don't believe the designers are trying to make some statement about the place of women in our society, and I think interpreting things like this as such is a rather extreme point of view that is ultimately unhelpful.

Also, what's wrong with showing the game during the treehouse? Are you saying games with an M rating should not be allowed to streamed? Or are you saying only Nintendo isn't allowed to stream mature content? Either way, I disagree.

I guess that's the "F-Zero" game I heard people talking about. I think that would've been pretty great to show, actually. Would've preferred it over the Skylanders stuff personally =/

Because if not why does nintendo even bother keeping C.Falcon even semi-relevant?

I honestly just want them to just turn C.Falcon and the rest of F-Zero to become a faded memory at this point.

If you're not gonna do something with the series for 10+ years other than making the protagonist a guest character to a different game and him a toy, then go out just say "We're not making any F Zero games, the series is dead fuck you."

It's even worse when a developer cock teases us into a potientially new title in a series only to end up being nothing at all. Or something that might as well be nothing.

Since the NX is being shown next year, does that mean it'd come out then, or the year afterwards?
Because I'm also curious if they're killing off the Wii U once it happens, because, no matter how you look at it, a 5-6 life span for a home console?
That ain't pretty.
But then again wasn't that roughly the Gamecube's life cycle?

I want at least 2 years before the NX is even close to coming out.
they pushed the WiiU out with barely anything and they struggled throughout it's entire cycle.
don't release a console unless you know for a fact people will play it.

Consoles take time, it's usually

I think with the exception of the 360 and ps3, most consoles had a lifespan around 5 years, but normally they stay active after the next release.

So confession time. Never played FFVII. Didn't have a PS1 when it came out, got out of Final Fantasy by the time I got a PS2 because Atlus pulled my head into her loving bosom and then proceeded to beat my ass with bosses harder than a steel beam.

All this is to say I am disappointed in the current direction Atlus is taking with it's games (except P5 which looks awesome) but FFVII HD might make me go back and play the original to finally see what the hype is all about.
 
I'm also one of those people who have never played FFVII... Or really almost any game in the series. I played a little bit of III for the DS and my short play through was ended by not really understanding the game at the time and a dragon roasting my team.

After that, I've only played Kingdom Hearts and Bravely Default despite the fact that FF games are widely available and I have no end in choices to play the legendary FFVII on...

Yet even with the remake announcement and the ensuing shock of "holy crap it's actually happening!" I'm not sure if I'd play it. I mean, for starters I need to get a PS4 down the line. Second, despite being a massive RPG fan, the FF series for some reason has never pulled me in. Third, I have all of these other wonderful SMT games on my PS2, several Tales games, and really my whole backlog to occupy my free time with for ages to come.

But still, I think it's exciting that Square Enix managed to even do this.

As for Shenmue: when's Shenmue HD collection? Not sure if I want to hunt for sailors yet when I haven't had a chance to play the first two games.

I ain't got no interest for FF7HD but I'm glad people are getting excited?

I'm more excited about TrackMania Turbo being a thing-- it's about time they add up some more jumbo content for that series
