No guarantees, but I'm trying reaally hard to make this, I just need to figure out how.

Yall better not just show up but yall better PRACTICE.

Wondering if anyone has the answer to the following (or knows the right person I should ask):

-They're playing SG on PS3. In the past, many tournies have banned Dual Shock 3 controllers because they don't want interference/DQ/etc, but on the SCR rules page, it doesn't say that DS3 controllers are banned. Any official word on the matter?

-For those who have Dual Shock 4 controllers, have you been able to use them on the PS3 version of SG without any issue? And how does it stack up feel-wise compared to the DS3? Do the new triggers make it hard to play claw-style?

Thanks!

I don't know for sure but I would assume that they are banned.

Got myself all registered. I'll totally be there.

Even if dualshock 3 controllers aren't banned it would be polite to not use them out of respect for the TO and other tournament participants :x

Posted by Valle from the SCR thread on SRK:
They are not illegal at SCR but if your controller is caught disrupting a match, you will be DQ'd from the event.

I'll update the op with that info.

Will Big Band be in the build there?

Why's this not listed as an event on the front page?

also yeah scr is getting an encore build since mike is around.

It's seeming that Squigly build is likely, but we also don't know how things are gonna be ran at SCR. We're just kind of assuming that we are bringing all our own stuff. I'll see if I can poke Valle on SRK or something for more details.

Edit: Sent over a few queries his way. Let you know if there are any updates.

Some updates (OP revised)
Updates:
According to Mr. Valle:
Oh hey, so it looks like the tournament will be run by @MegamanDS (Lemme know if you need any help Dan, I live close to Irvine).

We will be running on the latest build he says, so I guess whatever build Mike feels is tourney ready (educate yourselves on some BB, just sayin')? I'll poke him when I can.

The area for pools becomes BYOC when their respective events are finished. Cool beans!

I just requested time off. If it goes through, I'll probably see you guys there...just don't let me commentate lol

Where did Mr. Valle say this? Because I don't remember saying I will run it. I'm not even a 100% sure I can go due to school Friday and work Sat. and Eighty Sixed has no booth at the event (that being my fault for not contacting him soon enough).

I told him I can get setups there (through the ok of Mike of course) and would like the tourney to be a main event. But since encore is now out on PS3, technically we don't need dev kits there unless we want Big Band.

But actually running the entire tourney? I thought SCR had volunteer staff to run all the brackets for each game especially a main event game and not a side tourney.

LOL Alright well I'm glad I brought it up XD . I had sent over a few questions to Valle on SRK and he responded with:

Q: Who will run it and do we need to bring equipment? A: SG will be ran by Danny from eightysixed and their equipment.
Q: What version? A: Latest version of SG will be used - Dev kits with Encore.
Q: BYOC? A: The pool stations turn into BYOC areas after pools are finished.

This just reconfirms that ya we are running our own thing again and should probably bring our own equipment. I'll bring my monitor just in case. Well @Mike_Z I live close so if you need help lemme know. Although I'll probably try to get there as early as possible anyways.

Ok, that confirms that! lol

So do we have to bring streaming equipment or will it be on level up stream?

At this point I just kind of assume we will be on our own for everything, and by streamed, he probably just meant finals or something.

ok so i'm signed up for skullgirls and ready to go. well almost. i still need a place to stay and a ride there. i'm more than willing to pay my fair share of what i need to pay, but what i really need is a ride there. if anyone from norcal can pick me up from Fresno i would greatly appreciate it

I just registered as PFGC Dad Toucher. Mike when you gonna have some kids so I can touch you?
