So i decided to try out Fightcade and play some old classics online with randoms and sometimes with a friend.
I am able to play and watch people play on fightcade without needing to open udp ports but recently i've been having trouble getting into matches, when the window opens to connect to a person that challenged me i tend to get stuck at retrieving match info or connecting to server....connected and getting stuck with a black screen. After that i usually get this "Looks like FightCade is having problems doing NAT traversal on your connection. If you can't connect try opening GGPO ports on your router (6000 to 6009 udp)."

I did try opening 6000-6009 udp ports but i still get this message despite trying 2 ways to open said ports
A)Through windows 7 firewall

B)Using my IP and going on my router's site.

I did read somewhere that TCP 7000 also helps fightcade

If someone could figure out a way to help or tell me if i did something wrong with opening my ports please tell me.

Edit:I tried testing and seeing if my ports are actually open and it turns out that my ports are still closed even if i did the above

OK so I got this problem fixed, apperently i had to disable extended protection from here

So if anyone else is using Thomson Routers and want to enable ports for any kind of program just disable Extended Security.
Although i don't any idea what it secures so enable it when done with said program.

Fightcade is such a piece-of-shit program, I swear to god. The only way I have ever gotten consistent connections is by turning on DMZ. I tried your solution but I still cannot connect. I rarely had a connection issue using old GGPO, I really cannot understand why this won't work despite the ports being open.

I have the same problem but my router isn't a thomson so i can't find that setting. Any help?
