I didn't even know we had an FF14 thread.

I don't have that much time undewr my belt, but I got a couple classes up past 15, and I also am trying to get my Archer to where I can upgrade to Bard... after finding out Dragoon is one of the harder classes because of AoEs.
 
Oh freaking finally when did this show up?
My main is a Monk, I side leveled Dragoon to 50
I also have an Au Ra Summoner...
And my alt right now is a Lalafell White Mage on Balmung
 
I plan to play Bard until Heavensward and then switch to Machinist. Because I like the idea of a gun class in this magical fantasy world

Ive been wanting to start playing again for a long ass time. I didnt get very far before I lost my last job but now that I'm working again I can actually get into this game! Sweetness.
 
If only the monthly fee wasn't so expensive...

Guess I'll stay on GW2 until the exchange rate here gets more favorable
 
You could always try just doing the entry level subscription, it's the cheapest. Although, with how smooth the game runs and the quality of everything that goes into it, I am surprised at how good the limited time events are in this game. And the crafting system is way more intuitive than what you would find in any other MMO
 
Listen to me, I have never seen an MMO with such a wide BERTH of content, there is so so so much to do with the ability to play every class, not only that there's all the dungeons, cool places to explore, as well as housing, some MMOs are cheap and run fast/loose with a monthly subscription but I legitimately think that FFXIV earns the right to have a monthly fee

also, the community.

you can absolutely screw up, and nobody gets mad at you. real talk, first time I did Ifrit, me and a couple people in the instance didn't know you had to attack the nail. we wiped 3 times, and nobody got mad. they calmly let us know to attack the nail. next try, we got through it.

and this game feels rewarding for being a new player or a long time one. like, when I tried getting into WoW, I felt like I was left in the dust from the start, but in this game, it feels like I'm gonna be able to catch up with everybody in it. it's really hard to explain.

thank you! there's so many good songs that it's hard for me to find the ones I like best, but this is easily is one that will stick with me.
 
I need people to fucking play this game with. Its such a slog to play alone I can barely get in sessions above an hour, but I love this game sooo much D:
 
I haven't played this game in months, but I'm still paying subscription, telling myself that I'll pick it up again eventually.
 
 
I'm watching the Fan Fest, basically a lot was annunced but not shown, two new jobs, harder Alliances/High-End Raids, lots of cool stuff, but no specifics other than some screenies
 
To be honest if it wasn't labeled Final Fantasy and didn't cut to the Chocobos near the end, I would have thought this was a trailer for Tekken.

GARO is the shit. It ain't no fuckin' sentai. GARO is a toku series for adults. Where badasses don suits of armor to risk their lives hunting down man-eating demons who are brought into this world from the daarkness of mankind. And when I say badasses, I mean guys who literally are human character action game heroes.

No. It's not sentai. Sentai is a television series about a group of people coming together to fight a common foe.

GARO has more of a plot and is more of a combination of Devil May Cry, Berserk, and Kamen Rider.
