Gaming General Discusison

Rogue isn't really a "pixel game" though. Graphics are 16 bit at least, and fairly well drawn. Definitely classier and more professional than your average "we didn't have budget to hire an artist" type indie games.

I'm just going to say this: if you want an epic looking arcade-style racer that can go at speeds that'll make any Mario Kart player in the vicinity crap their pants thrice, then you can't go wrong with wipEout HD (and if you want more than what it originally has, get the Fury expansion pack).

What's a Discusison?

I've had Dark Souls II for a few days now, money well spent.
I love you Jethro Tull...

I'm addicted to Dark Souls II, what do I do.

If you guys could, I have a request:

By the time I got stable, all the UMVC 3 stuff deactivated. If one of you looked into your soul and shared them from the US PS3 versions, i'd totally share the $10 to cover the cost and also give ALL THE THANKS for the goodwill

Sunny D is always a good alternative.

Also, don't forget to wish you could be so grossly incandescent.

so, I know this thread is kinda dead, but I figured I might well announce that I plan on starting a new game of Dragon's Dogma with a certain... character, as my main Pawn, since you can make him in the game.

As much he loves Nichirin, Motonari's the last guy I'd call a Sunbro though...

I as going to say "enjoy facing Bitterblack with a vocation that has zero defensive options, can't tank anything, can't stagger anything and has the poorest DPS" but I see you said Pawn and not Arisen.
Warrior is my favorite (my first Arisen is a Warrior build) but it's by far the worst at everything except getting stat growth and augments... that you can use for different vocations.
Side note, it's a shame the Berserker armor isn't in the game. It's also a shame that despite being heavily inspired by Berserk, Dragon's Dogma has absolutely none of it's unrestrained debauchery and ultra-violence.

The mention of DD also makes me realize how terrible the character in Dark Souls II is (I'd say it's worse than the DSI one).

I've always been a PC gamer, but I'm looking to get more into the FG community. I was reading about someone that picked up Persona on the 360 and could hardly play it due to a dying community. I don't want to experience that, so what communities reside on what console?

Blazblue: PS3
SFIV: PC/360
Persona: PS3
SG: PS3/PC
Guilty Gear: ?
Mortal Kombat: ?
Injustice: ?
Tekken: ?
Soul Calibur: ?

Edited to reflect advice given here.

persona is on ps3, and was still smewhat strong waaaay into arena 1's lifespan. So I would get the ps3 version of that.

I recently picked up Drakengard 3, How much of the previous games will I need to know for this one?

Shit this is old. Wish I had seen it earlier.

It's a prequel so nothing really.

Don't bother playing the first two at any rate. First one has terrible gameplay but interesting story, watch a longplay or lets play instead. Second one was done by a different director and the story is shit (*cue collective cry of NOT CANON from fans*).

Yo, this game is legit. I like the way it looks. Does anyone remember this at all? I haven't even heard of it until just now!

Finished Fire emblem: awakening after 25 hours (according to my save file).
Really liked it. The strategy, the amount of classes to choose. To bad this was my introduction to the francise. Would probably liked it more if I had the earlier games. But when the francise was becoming bigger here (I think "Super Smash Bros. Melee" introduced the francise here in west), I didn't invest soo much Nintendo hardware and games.

And I never thought I would have this struggle in a TBS game.

Not even kidding, the world deserves Konami revisiting RakugaKids. Maybe commission L0 for it...

Holy shit! Skullgirls is on this list!

Yeah I saw that too. Not a good look.

EDIT: They also asked him to take down all pictures and videos as well.

VA-11 HALL-A

If you're interested in VNs or cyberpunk at all you should check it out! Only the prologue has been released so far but I enjoyed it.

Damn, and my list of VNs is getting bigger. I haven't finished Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two yet

This one is super bite-sized. The prologue is probably only about 45-60 minutes. $5 gets you all the episodes as they're released, though. :)

Well, my list is this:

Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two
School Days
Shingetsutan Tsukihime
Clannad
Steins;Gate
Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica
Yume Miru Kusuri

And I'm downloading The Secret World to play with a friend aswell Dx

is this ANYTHING like the anime?

I'm not really sure. All I can say is that A Fairy Tale of the Two is different from the anime. Even though the VN is divided in two, just like the Ef anime (only watched A Tale of Memories though), there are no hentai scenes on the anime. Plus, the VN makes more sense on the timeline, whereas the anime everything happens at the same time. I also consider the VN be more dramatic than the anime

As for School Days, well, I'm not sure. Neither Clannad

I didn't expect Injustice to still be getting support at this point.

What is this slow motion glitch if I may ask?

I think this happens with MK9, too.
The game runs extremely slow almost all the time, right? I might be wrong...

Essentially the game moving at a reduced frame rate, rendering it unplayable. There was a temporary fix involving mashing pause during a mid-fight cutscene involving scarecrow. Doing slow would raise your framerate to semi-playable levels for about 20 minutes, maybe. Anyway, Netherrealm made a big patch to fix a lot of the online issues that people were having. The result was that this one jury-rig fix for the slow motion bug has been removed. The game is now completely unplayable if you have the bug.

I seriously want my fucking money back for this game.

I've heard something to that effect, I don't really know much about it. I don't own MK9.

Thanks for the explanation and that does sound really bad. I would say I hope that gets patched but patching a patch that should have fixed a problem in the first place, should have been sorted in the first place.

New Dota 2 update. Never seen such an imbalaced thing in my life. I think it's time to uninstall now
