Filia Valentine Parasoul
Hey all-

This is the first fighting game that I've played (and strive to become a good player with) in a while. In the past, Tekken 3 (PlayStation) and Dead or Alive 3 (XBOX) were the two fighting games I was effectively good at.

With that being said, I'm fairly new to Skullgirl's, so I haven't quite grasped technique, combos or defense yet. I enjoy playing the game, but it's pretty damn strenuous learning how to do combos and perfecting defense. Learning each characters attacks isn't hard; it's practicing/memorizing the combos and defense more than anything.

I had a Twitch stream last night, where I told anyone who entered chat that I was still learning the ins and outs of the game so if I repeated any moves I was either nervous or that's what I remembered at the time. The two that I've been using most frequently are Filia and Parasoul.

The matches that I think are good enough to show are at:

32:37-35:04
36:01-38:26
39:51-41:22
41:31-43:32
44:59-47:01

I'm sure that I'll get it, but one thing I have to remember is that learning to play fighting games isn't easy, not is it a race. Sometimes I can tend to forget that.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated...

Yup. You're slowly learning. If you ever need someone to just play in an online training room just poke me. Both Filia and Parasoul go off of a very quick playstyle. Filia is all about quick hard pressure with her instant air dashing allowing her to mix the opponent up with High/Low resets. Where as Parasoul is a little more about space control with her many command normals allowing her to either attack high or low forcing your opponent to be very defensive.

Over all Filia and Parasoul as a team is quite good. Both have complementing assists for one another and their DHC synergy is quite good.

Another suggestion for you is to take a look at the character guides found here on the forums. They will show you what moves to be using in most situations as well as combos and resets for you to practice.

YOU CAN DO THIS~!

Thanks alot, Ninja!

I thought I was going to be ripped to shreds after someone watched that Twitch stream, lol. The viewers in my chat were nice about it, too. They actually said I was doing pretty good for a person that just started learning, but I thought they were trying to make me less anxious or nervous, lol.

I had no idea there were online training rooms in Skullgirls... I'll be sure to let you know the next time I start playing (or when I begin to play online, since I'm still doing single matches with the CPU).
