Glass Canopy and River King Casino NPC Database

Been a while since I last checked the thread but happy to report that everyone's Earlfriend/Render was awesome and swiftly responded to my recent e-mail letting me know that the current locations of NPCs aren't set in stone and that some will be moved to the ballroom once it is actually completed and that he'll make sure my character is one of them (just in case though, any NPCs not featured in the casino yet want to do a straight swap with me?).

It's not that I hate the casino or anything, just that I picked my character choice and her formal redesign specifically for the ballroom environment, that and Chainer isn't into material goods, only the life experiences she was robbed of, especially now that I think about it her recklessness in trying to sell the most girl scout cookies in her misguided youth is what caused her to knock on the door of the evil scientist that tortured and experimented on her so that would leave her with a bitterness/apprehension towards riches (I already considered the expensive prom dress and imagine she found it torn up and thrown away in a dumpster but saw past the wear and tear since it allows her to fulfil her dream of attending a ballroom event which her previous look kept her from getting in to).

I remember seeing a lot of interesting character references and backstories before the forum crash, would love to learn more about all my fellow NPCs.

I was hoping my character minaria gets moved to the ballroom, while siva stays in the casino. I hope they move Minaria.

She was in the Casino for a bit originally, then she was removed when they decided to animate the NPCs. Since the NPC placements aren't finalised yet, she could very well be put back in the Casino, depending on what the creator wants.

And I am sad. Minaria was not moved to Glass Canopy, she is still in River King :( I guess she wasn't fancy enough....I wanted Siva in River King and Minaria in Glass...Sisters forever I guess XD

Surprised we got an UNiB npc (SG style), did French Bread request this or did L0 just add it as thanks for this?
 
Clearly a hint at the sekrit Lab Zero x French Bread game in the works.
 
Man this thread is like, super out of date now.

I'll properly fix it up again once Glass Canopy is released with all the moved around NPCs.
 
I kinda wish they put in vatista, but I love this addition regardless X3
 
Is there hope for Merkava in a snazzy suit in the Glass Canopy? I'll pretend there is.

I'm currently seeing her in the Casino in the beta.

They don't rotate the beta often. It's done for very specific purposes, like when characters were changed from static to animated and now when they moved the more formal looking NPCs to the Glass Canopy. The only other time they adjusted the NPCs was when they moved them around on the stage - no NPCs were removed or added during that shuffle. (And when King Duckator was added)

tl:dr, if you didn't see your NPC in the list in the first post of this thread or in the current build of the game, that NPC has never been added. They'll show up in the Glass Canopy when that is released.
 
Hey, just found this forum thread today, but the Guitarist is my character and labeled incorrectly. The patron saint is Dustin McKenzie and the character's name is Zwain.

I'm assembling a new set of images with all the NPCs added now so hopefully I'll have it up later today. If anyone else can identify their NPCs in the meantime, please let me know!
 
theres a couple of shits on Tumblr talking shit about the OCs in the ballroom about their designs and saying Lab 0 should have been more strict about the OCs that went in the game.

this is why we can't have nice things.

Overall, I just wish they were more discreetly scattered around instead of "OC Window Shopping". But I do understand the reasons for that as I can see the (relatively legitimized) shitstorm over "Why is my NPC in the back and that guy's NPC in front row seat?"
 
Mustn't been easy.
I can imagine the difficult scenario of "negotiating" with some backers that clearly didn't read the rules about NPC submission and try being as diplomatic about it as possible.
I imagine rejecting a NPC simply meant taking it back to the "workbench", at least assuming the backer won't...back down.:PUN:

Those donators contributed at least a grand to the cause so at the very least they are entitled to make whatever OC/Caricature they want as long as the design receives L0 seal of approval. No other approval matters so the tumblr people crying about their presence is nothing more then an insignificant yelp from a baby hyena and should naturally be ignored.

To be fair, this is pretty mellow as far as Tumblr whining over small things goes. Still needs claims of how a single background NPC has forever irreparably soiled their capacity to enjoy the game. And set their house on fire.

Mike_Z's comment just got me wondering given how like 98% of the NPCs we've seen are just common folk (even if ferals) in casual or formal wear.
 
Yeah, trident dude is mine, Broseidon Rex, God of the Brocean. I have a whole lore idea about him I'll eventually commit to internet paper. Also, I had no trouble submitting mine, so I'm really curious at what got rejected (heavily sexual material, uber-violent stuff? The mind boggles)
