lab zero should totally put this on their twitter accounts. Excellent job man. Hope this boosts sales.

EDIT: We could also try tweeting this to youtubers and stuff now. It would get the message across more easily. Maybe try some subreddits with this?

That is indeed an awesome poster, and I personally am humbled to see so much effort from you guys to spread the word!

If I may raise one concern, one of the things we are grappling with is the perception that Indivisible will still get made even if we don't reach our funding goal. I think part of this stems from our openness about partnering with a publisher. People think "oh they have a publisher so it's definitely happening". Another part of it is the way we word things on the campaign page and in the trailer.

We're working on emphasizing that Indivisible's fate is not guaranteed, and I think it would worth trying to make that clear in the poster as well.

For instance, consider changing
Indivisible will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam Windows / Mac / Linux.
to
If funded, Indivisible will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam Windows / Mac / Linux.

Could a Facebook community manager pop into this thread and maybe help talk to some people? Only so much I, a no body, can really say without sounding like a huge fan-junkie.

edit: Oh neat! there's a facebook media plug in too?

maybe you'd want to mention that in other sections of your indiegogo page aswell, I think there's only a single mention of it under "Budget" and I'm not too sure whether people necessarily read that part thoroughly

edit: I like what you guys wrote on your twitch channel, "Without your support, we cannot make this game a reality. Please consider making a contribution to our crowdfunding campaign at support-indivisible.com." I think it gets the point across very nicely without sounding too pushy, maybe add that somewhere where it's more visible

Of course, the guy next to him just had to crap all over the entire thing for not being totally funded in a day.
Fifty Bones on that being Simmons, lol. If it was, don't take that too seriously.

Best way to contact Max would be on twitter, or his chat if it's moving slowly. If you can convince him to play it with JaeJae, they'll give a much more positive review of it.

If he's already mentioned it, I'd not risk pushing things too far. The last thing you want to risk is making him feel like he doesn't want to do the video because its fans keep annoying him.

I feel like that's a very low risk when it comes to Max. I'll just say that everyone should message youtubers/streamers they like. Don't go bombing people you don't even watch, but you know how to appeal to people whose content you like, so do that. If you would legitimately enjoy watching Max play indivisible, then you should express your enthusiasm to him.

Unfortunately, I don't watch very many YouTubers, and I don't think Nostalgia Critic and whoever does "If the Emperor Had a Text to Speech Device" would be into it. Does anybody particularly review JRPG's or platformers?

Also, I did a write-up on Tumblr. I don't have a very large audience, but hopefully I used enough tags that somebody searching for content by tag will take a look. (Fantastic way to keep up with new fan-content, by the way.)

Saw this article on /r/games on Reddit about a front-page post really helping an indie campaign. Has anyone at Lab Zero considered an AMA? Anybody else have ideas on how to push Indivisible to the front page? Most I can think of right now is a gif on /r/gaming of fighting the Prototype boss titled "Hey, they made the beast with two backs! [Indivisible]"

OMG, she put Bom down. That's how serious this is!

An AMA sounds like it could be cool. Actually, I know Hiroki's done a few of his own on Reddit. Maybe he could join in too?

Hey guys, great news! My teacher approved my idea of making an Indivisible poster! By the way, @Wenzel, great job! This will make for some great research for the workbook!
Going to work on it as quickly as I can! You're all doing so well, keep it up!

What's an AMA? Also, if some others would like to help tweet @notch about the game, he might notice it, since he's got so many people that follow him on twitter, it'd be hard to for just me to catch his attention. If he sees the tweet and tries the game, who knows. He may put some of his money into this (as I've seen him back a few indies) and tweet about it... which is usually known to crash a few websites due to the sheer number of people that follow his gaming perspective.

AMA = Ask me Anything, i believe.

What's an AMA?

"Ask Me Anything," a type of thread where notable people stay on Reddit for an extended period of time to answer questions about... well, anything. Sometimes they try to direct questions to be about a particular thing, but that doesn't often work out pretty well. Here's one for Nichelle Nichols from Star Trek, to give you an idea.

In other news, I've had an idea that could turn gamer salt into funds. Namely, a stream where some entertaining streamer or let's-player attempts something hilariously difficult and doesn't stop until funds have been raised. Attempted feats could include:
  • Marie 300%
  • A newbie playing online in general
  • Getting out of the boss pit
  • Dark Souls
  • I Wanna Be the Guy
Bonus points for "Really hard non-affiliated games" spreading word beyond people who've already heard of it.

Alternatively, some entertaining fellow could play a classic, large-audience game and take shots depending on how much is donated. Not a kidney, but I guess it sacrifices a liver to the cause.

<Cue Eldrond> "One of you... must do this."

Grumble... I just did some quick math, and we're $75,000 below where we need to be to be on track with this campaign. (8 days out of 40 are 20%, and we've raised 15%.) Anybody else have ideas? Was the last campaign this nervewracking? I'm somewhat new to the whole "fundraising" thing, and wasn't around for it.

Relax. It's true that more money at this point would be nice, but I've been watching things pretty closely and there's reason to be optimistic if both we and Lab Zero keep stuff coming through the pipeline.

But more importantly, stressing yourself out about whether or not we meet artificial goals you construct (like the people talking about the 14%/17% thing) is not going to do you any good. And if people here start getting uptight and pessimistic about things then that will rub off on others and can do more damage than a slow start to raising funds ever could.

Honestly, I'm pretty worried about this campaign... We're all trying our best to get this out there and ask for support.. Just, I've never been a fan of "plans" as som'in always goes wrong for me.. I want this to succeed, but I'm pretty scared of the possibility of not getting the funding..

As Vad said, stressing out doesn't do anyone any favors. Help out by pinging news sites with stuff, youtubers, blah blah. Not much else to be done except tell people about the campaign.
No amount of "I'm worried the campaign will fail D:" posts will help the campaign.

course.. why I started this =p It's just one of my personal fears. Pretty much any time I come up with a plan and want to do som'in about it later, it get's screwed up. take last month: Me and a friend was gonna hang out one week end. Planned it that week. We didn't get to do it as som'in came up.. took 2 weeks till we was able to do anything =\

I have high hopes for L0... just can't shake a personal fear.

Like the poster that already did, spread the campain link on yours social media, coming to SH and said " i´m worried about the campain." doesn´t help anything and just stressing yourself.

I'm still confident, because even though the game needs more help, the support for it has been very strong so far. Not only is positive feedback coming from a broad range of gamers, but Backers have also been giving more on average compared to the Skullgirls IGG. If that trend continues, then this high goal can be met with roughly the same, or fewer, number of contributors that Skullgirls had.

Aside from just more exposure though, I can see what's still missing are more articles/streamers/youtubers that are willing to vouch for Labzero directly, including the game's budget goals. If popular guys like Max, or whoever, are willing to sit their audiences down and say "Look guys, I trust these developers because ____ , and their budget is legit because _____...," then those words might be enough to push some people off the fence and contribute. They'd also help curb a lot of the blatant misinformation that keeps showing up in chat/comment sections.

Yeah, it's pretty sad that a lot of people still aren't willing to read what "Fixed Funding" means at the top of the campaign page, but if they need someone like Arin to spell it out for them, then I guess that's how it goes.

The thing is, I feel a lot of people are hesitant because it's a high (read: realistic) funding goal and want to see if it gets close at all and then back it.
We don't even need to see 1.5mil as our goal, we just need enough where those people on the fence start supporting with the intent to get it funded last-minute basically.

I'll be throwing around motivational anime quotes in all-caps once we get to that point.
