Parasoul Eliza
Hi guys,

I'm a recent (3-4 weeks) Sg player : I main Parasoul and play a bit of Fortune and I know 1-2 combos with hers + easy crossup and crossunder. But I'm having some serious trouble with engages. I don't know what to do, I mainly go like a warrior as Fortune, and wait for the enemy's mistake with Parasoul. But my moves become predictable soon enough, can someone give me advices on that ?

Also, you can add me if you want to play/teach me or whatever: Jelly_

Quick note, by engages, do you mean when you are trying to land that initial hit into a combo or a setup? If so, the term most often used is Neutral.

Tried to add you on steam, but couldn't figure out exactly who you were. Guess lots of people like Jelly lol. If you'd care to play, then you can add me on steam. I go by Skullmageddon, same as on this forum.

It's easier to give advice after playing some matches, so I'd advise that you simply play with some people and ask them for some feedback. I'm busy throughout the week, but I can find time to play some matches here and there.

By engage I mean how do I do this initial hit (in order to end this neutral game into a badass combo) without getting caught ?

Added you Skullmageddon, I gave my Steam for the reason you mentionned tho.

like, confirms?
a hit confirm so that you can continue a combo?

just poke with some of your normals in the air and on the ground, napalm, head pressure, w/e.

With Parasoul, your neutral game is based around Tear-Shots and her extremely good jumping Light Punch and Jumping Hard Punch.

Beginner parasoul players tend to jump forward air-to-air with j.LP > j.HP chain to get things started, or dashing forward with cr.LK > cr.MK and using tear-shots to cover your approach or force your opponent to approach you in a particular way. Detonating tears is also important.

Make sure you are making good use of dash-jumps (where you dash forward and jump during your dash so that the jump carries some of the momentum from your dash).

I think I already do that with Soul ... It's not perfect tho !
My main problem is with Fortune

Yeah, I tried searching your steam name directly but you weren't coming up in the search. I'm probably just an idiot, whatever ;_;

Anyways, I'd be good to play sometime tomorrow mid-afternoon or later in the evening (EST). Other than that, I'll just hit you up anytime I'm free and we're both online. I can't provide much specific advice regarding neutral play for Fortune, but I can give some specific thoughts regarding Parasoul along with general gameplay advice.

Thank you a lot sir ! Improving with Parasoul is also one of my purpose !
