I hate diaries...

this time i concur with you.

Who are you and what you did with Receita?

killing all frame adv on normals and the grab nerf seems like a big ''play keepaway or you'll die'', and i don't think that was a great idea. i want to hear noaa opinion about those changes, because he knew very well how to use robo's frame advantage on block, and like you, he also used l bomber to convert off grab

The frame advantage thing wouldn't bother me if that were the only change because s.MK is still safe on block and I was developing a "hit and run" style. If I don't get the confirm I retreat and start with the zoning again.

The grab change is painful. Before I could get a combo, and while the damage wasn't great, It was possible to carry my opponent to the corner and either pressure them there or retreat with superjump back j.HK. Now i can just add a little more damage with L laser and that's it. Maybe I can still convert with center stage as assist (didn't tested it yet) but Squigly's c.HP is sooooooo good as assist that it's not worth the exchange.

And spending meter, specially with the combo damage reduced, isn't worth at all, unless you can kill.

And just for the record, I used to use Squigly's c.HP to convert after the grab. L bomber were just for Valentine, because, for some reason, c.HP always whiffed on her.

This weekend I challenged Jorge to a FT10 and he showed how I'm free to him:
the answer to beating that team relies on chickenblocking + invul assist or landcancel punish on jhp. jorge doesnt have many flaws in his defense, and he has above average defensive reactions which complements his style pretty amazingly, but a thing i noted he does frequently is do jhp's from really far away and not cancel them into blitzers, even when brass is in recovery. once you get the hit, you should do your absolute best in staying on him till beo dies. from there, you can have your way with band using your double, its a cool matchup for you.

Just a little correction here. Now the grab can be converted using cremation even on Valentine. Mike made R. Fortune's throw to send people a little less high than before and I think that's the reason now this conversion works. L Bomber still works too.

Back in black... I think...

Anyway I've been experimenting with duos and I came to the conclusion that Double point and Squigly second is actually better than the opposite. Finishing my combos with sliding knockdowns gives me a nasty oki with j.MP and cremation (Squigly's c.HP). Or the good, old fleshstep + cremation.

Unfortunately my time with the game is becoming shorter and shorter since I can only play on weekends now and Guilty Gear is absorbing my time. But, I'll never give up.
