Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Golden monsters look like having buttload of HPs. My guess is that in full game they will give you some reward for beating them which is irrelevant in prototype.
This reminds me of the Amazee Dayzee in Paper Mario.

So THAT'S how you do it...

OK now I'm almost sure the secret is about using that run in the right place...

I tried to get out of that pit myself but failed miserably.

After finding a certain room with a cat, I finished the game...

FOUND IT FOUND IT FOUUUUUUUND IT!

After you get out of the pit of missery and endless gnashing of teeth, you can use the running power to bust through this wall here:

Indivisible secret.jpg

You can see the hole on the left.

You go there, fight an army of the slime thing and then... ah but that is a surprise. :3

EDIT: Ah I see I wasn't exactly the first one.

Not getting anything...

When do you insert it exactly? Is it just :U::U::D::D::B::F::B::F:B,A?

Also I just noticed Ajna's sprite is asymmetric and it doesn't mirror. Kudos, even if it's just a bracelet.

enter it anywhere where an enemy can't hit you. :U::U::D::D::B::F::B::F:B1,B2,select.

When done correctly Ajna will do some eastern dance it seems.

Aaaaaand totally not working... Why. ;_;

I hope I don't need a pad for this, like it was needed in Shank 2 to enter the same code.

well she kinda does the dance as you enter the code.

dat east coast 2 step :PUJNA:. I'm sorry yall i couldn't resist the troll. I doubt Labzero would ever do anything Konami related.

Last night I managed to beat the boss without Razmi, two Actions for each teammate. I probably should have stopped after the 40th-something attempt, but I always felt so close. Even though it was a pain in the butt, I'd still say I found it more enjoyable than fighting Nightmare Marie!

It was pretty clutch for me, with a bit of luck, but it helped me appreciate a lot more little things about the fights. I noticed how much AT bar I'd lose if I did an attack before both Actions were full, points when iddhi would boost during combos before an attack actually hit, and the minimum iddhi I usually needed in order to react for a quick Block. There's definitely some crazy stuff they can do with this system. Even small moments, like when the Ogres would seem to roll around an extra time and delay their attacks, would mix me up enough to ruin the fight.

I kinda wish that Ajna had a 1HP grace for chip damage though, so she could take at least one more hit before getting cheesed. It got really annoying when the boss would fire pillar her twice in a row late-match, with both guys still in the green, and I'd just have to put my head down.

This game is gonna be SO good!

I can't unlock that secret area since I did a "Pacifist" run. Mike I think you made the hitbox on the boss' first-strike attack WAYYY too large. I don't wanna fight it.
I love that thumbnail XD

Ya know, I was thinking of doing a "cheat code" for Fukua when Mike had her as a hidden char XD He was laughing so hard. Too bad I honestly didn't go through with it XD Right down with a video to boot.

I wasn't aware eastern dances include jump-slashing.

Well you got me.

Does bring up an interesting question: Will there be any "love notes" to RPG/Metroidvanias in the game, much like how Skullgirls had so many "love notes" to fighting games, or will you guys be taking it in it's own path? (besides the "Super Speed run" effect XD)

So the secret room is super cute and I love hidden stuff like this

but is there actually a super tough extra enemy hidden about? I'd love to really test myself with the fighting mechanics

unless I totally missed something about the hidden room. I sorta just watched the "guest" fade away and didn't approach it because I thought running into it would kill it lol.

If it makes me roll my eyes, then probably not.

Anyone know where I can get the prototype as a .ZIP instead of a .RAR? I don't have WinRAR so I can't really open any of the links I've found so far.

Besides the obligatory "Wait fifteen hours" I mean. Schedule won't let me.

Nevermind.

Having trouble getting out of the pit XD I think I'm getting there though

Not puns, but nods to other games. Like, how Double has SubZero's Slide, Peacock's alot like Cable, also having Hsien-Ko's Tenrai Ha. Those kinda things.

Heh, so I tried to hold back but it seems everyone else found it exploded over it while I was sleeping anyway, I wasn't going to post any more until I found the secret fight.

Last night I only made it into the secret room, I'm sure there is more, unless Mike was just messing with me, there should be a secret fight around somewhere.

yay =D I made it out of the pit o Hell XD was a bitch to do at 15~40 fps (specially with it wildly jumping around in frame counts). Now, ON WARDS TO EXPLORING!

How did my silly post from last night get un-deleted?

EDIT: Is it time to make a second thread? Cause this one is getting clogged with what is really a sidetrack now

Yeah, that's as far as I made it, I should have searched more thoroughly after finding those guys but it was already past midnight.

I found the hidden room after messing up getting out and "beating" the game normally accidentally, and when I got back and did it right and went to finish the game I got NG+ Mostly Clear Time.

Also, I love how everyone's dissecting the prototype like it's the full game. Man, so much to look forward to.

Best I found was this.

course that's nothing special lol. Really haven't found much else. Hopping across the Pit's gap led me to a crumbled dead end and most walls you can dash too are pretty much solid. Tried Dash jumping into a few walls but nadda. did notice som'in odd that stood out to me. Doubt it's anything though.

Got a good speedrun of NG+ as well, now. I think there's a tricky (maybe RNG-based, or frame perfect?) improvement if you can manage to get the pair of rolling giants to both swing on the floor so you can jump over them. With more general combat efficiency and that, i believe going below 5:30 is possible. Anyone wanna try cracking my time?

I'm loving this prototype. It's incredibly well done, the combat feels amazing (discovering new combos is always neat, such as Ajna's Axe Down into Zebei's Down, or Tungar Down into Zeber Up into Ajna Up into super), movement feels solid. I only have one complaint:

I have been climbing this same wall of the pit for an HOUR now trying to get out.

Try to wall jump kind of low, hold away from the wall briefly then hold back towards and press the axe button.

maybe the hidden fight has to do with map completeness?

I ran around the level trying to fill in all the blues squares i could. has anyone got more complete than this?

Image looks broken from my view.

should work now.

How do you get the squares after the boss room without triggering the mostly complete screen?
