Indivisible media coverage index

I did, but it didn't really go well.

They gave up on the pit and pulled up a video of the cat "Oh hey, it's a meme cat, wow it doesn't even attack it just stands there" and then shut it off.
i know... they didn't get to the part in the video where it was doing yoga flames... oh well. i guess we did it.

let's just hope for the best now.

Yeah stream was pretty disappointing. I'm glad they finally got around to show it off to a decent stream size, but you can tell they were more excited to get on with Mario Party. Wouldn't be surprised if Max got more from the donations/subs during the Indivisible play then the actual campaign especially when that one guy kept giving him hundreds lol. I think this will eventually go be reposted on YT, but if not we can just link the archive with the time stamps on OP

I don't really care for the guy, but I know that people check out stuff he pushes, that said, he sat there the whole time saying he didn't care about playing it. Though, to his credit he did keep saying "if this interests you at all, check it out, they need help." But I swear he said the prototype was PS4 exclusive at one point, which isn't great.

But hey, regardless, if anyone saw that stream and went to check it out and ends up donating, which I'm sure there are at least a few, that is still help the campaign needs, even if you're disappointed in the stream.

Well at least he donated (he says he did) which is more than I can say about myself. Being jobless sucks, but whenever I get another job and there's a new L0 game out (or there's a slacker backer campaign if this succeeds) somewhere in the future I'm buying multiple copies; one for me and at least one for someone else.

And I believe him, and as I said in that post, if any single person who saw that stream discovered Indivisible that way and donated that means it helped the campaign as well as the fact I pointed out he kept saying "go donate if you're interested so this game can exist".

Thing I'm having an issue with is the lack of caring. And from how the stream sounds, Max would have to make his own video to post on his youtube channel if he wanted to talk about the game, else I don't think there'd be any "Highlights" showing up and will prob miss his Youtube side of his fans..

Yeah so far Woolie "ThirtyHitsCritz" Madden, the big putz, has done the best job selling it. So respect to him.

Real shame, but streamers and Youtubers don't seem to think they have the time to learn how to play games or even pay attention to them. I recently saw a Markiplier LP where he just continuously chanted "I don't have time for this," while speeding through a game ignoring text and dialogue. Sad state of affairs.

This was my experience when I tried to ask Max to help TFH out. He has a tendency to broadcast assumptions as fact when those assumptions are based on bad or incomplete information. Thus he wrote TFH off as "a brony game with combos that go on for days", when the game is neither brony nor a game guaranteed to have very long combos.

game with combos that go on for days
I don't think that that's a problem with Maximillian specifically, but rather the street fighter community and the FGC attitude of "every fighting game is shit except for the one I'm playing"

Thank you, I added it.

Yo waht is with all the nipple talk?!

HAHAHA That last paragraph got me lol

If you are one of gaming's Sexual Justice Warriors fighting for more detailed depictions of butt, nipple, and crotch in your media, you'd do well to harness your anger towards Capcom's harsh ass-axing decisions into support for Indivisible. With a week left to go, Indivisible has not yet been funded on Indiegogo, so you'll only have yourself to blame if those fan-pleasing nips are left on the drawing board.

If we get a spike in donations, it was because of the nips.

yo you know Nips are good. Everybody loves nips, just like how everyone loves booty. Because everyone has em~!

Thank you, I'm going to add it. Is this something people actually got mad about? I suppose I'm out of the loop on this, I didn't even notice it with the original art.

The one we see has nips. The one that got sent to uhm.. DrinkBox?... Didn't have them and made a joke about it on their twitter

Nah, the stuff in the last paragraph is just Holmes continuing from his last article about R.Mika losing her butt slap zoom in SFV. Holmes is a bit strange haha.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing it first on their Twitter as I think that was the link first shared to me about it. Not sure though

Thanks for clearing that up, I appreciate it.

I like his writing.

I hate it when they say that lab zero is pressured by super janitor wankers. (If that's what the article supports or anything)

I always try to avoid the comments section, for the sake of my mental health.

I believe him as well. I just stated that so people would know where got my information from.

James Chen just spent 10 minutes trying to escape the pit

from the left wall

but then as soon as he caught on to the correct way to do it, he's already at the top of the right wall, like holy shit how did he make that complete 180 from clueless to almost perfect

james I don't understand you

EDIT: YO HE DID THE WHOLE THING, THAT WAS FAST

I still can't do it

It actually didn't take me too long to figure out how to climb out (after learning that you could climb out), so it's no big surprise to me.

Summary of James Chen's amazing stream for anyone who missed it:

Had a lot of trouble beating the boss at first, never once switched targets to take the mooks out. (I tuned in late, didn't see how he started)

Spends a while fumbling around the pit, knowing he's supposed to escape but can't tell how

After a bit, catches on surprisingly fast and makes it out

Finds the first cat room on his own, spends a while hunting for the second and insisting he doesn't want spoilers from the chat

Eventually gives in and looks at the answer

Dies to the cat more times than I can count, with Twitch chat yelling strats until he gets it

STREAM DIES RIGHT AS HE WINS #SPLICED #COLLUSION

So James decides he'll do it again so we can see it

Halfway through the New Game+, Mike Z decides to stream himself racing to do it before James

Despite James having a head start and NG+, Mike catches up and they're neck and neck on the cat

Mike dies (twice), James wins on the first try

Delivers an impassioned speech gushing about how much he loved it and that everyone needs to go support it

"I am better than Mike Z at his own game"

James' IRL cat is fascinated by the television and tries to catch the leaves on the title screen

yeah I passed out just before his stream started it was like 12 am or something? But that's good to hear that James loved the game and that he did all that with out the help of the chat.

(sigh if drewski can beat up Mike Z, that means I have to work extra hard to clean off this rust... time to go into the lab to practice optimal punishes from crossup/ high low assist calls.)
