Indivisible PROTOTYPE Speedrunning & Secrets Discussion

................hmmm....
That makes it sound like you don't have to fight the boss....

For me it sounds like you have to either use an enemy or a those vines for something. I know you can juggle dead enemies quite far if do it right.

I gotta believe that finding the secret is simpler than some of the arbitrary stuff I've been doing. So far I've tried:
-Ignoring both Black Ogres and the Cat to see if something else would pop up on the map. Nothing. It's so weird that they don't really attack you though.

-Luring one of the early Ghosts outside of the main entrance and letting it hop around. Nothing, but at least it got to enjoy the sunlight.

-Luring some nearby Ghosts to the big Yellow Ghost to see if it might eat them and turn into something different. It just sits there otherwise.

-Getting the cat into a fight. I'd fight and run from the purple ghosts nearest to the room until we were all inside of the room, and then try to attack the cat with an area attack. It just ignored everybody and then got spooked like normal if Ajna ran close.

-Bringing the first Ogre into the other building, to see if his rolling around might mess with something. I could manage to bring him through the courtyard, but he'd usually kill me (from running too much) just as we'd get through the entrance. Plenty of fights in the courtyard with no effect. I was able to escort a few of those Ahps across the courtyard to the other building though, and they got to hang out with their friends.
So yeah, still nowhere close yet, but it's been kinda fun to look for things within such a limited space. If thinking about it consumes too much of my week though, I might have to resort to spoilers. I wasn't planning on doing this much puzzle solving until La Mulana 2 came out!

...
*GASPS!* That tile!!

I'm still just trying to figure out how to get to the second axe without the first one.

@TheGamaniac can you atleast give us a "Hot/Cold" on our assumptions? I'll admit the tip still a bit vague, but would like to know if we're on the right track

edit: on the sorta-good news side, my Primary computer turned on.
too bad it's stuck at this screen x,x

I suppose so. Only when prompted to chime in, i'm perfectly willing to leave you all to speculating until asked for more, PM or otherwise. And since Kaboom has mentioned he's not looking for spoilers yet, i'll leave him out of this.

Kit is very cold.
Kawalorn is rather chilly.

Well then the only other thing I have in mind is your accent on "yourself" wondering if that means Ajna needs to be solo for that or perhaps it means that axe must be avoided.

Hm. Should I do some clarifying? It's surprisingly difficult trying to figure out ways to comment that don't give the secret away.

dang.

might be an idea. Yeah, you said you don't need NG+ and som'in about "Going back to start", but else it's not much to work with

Considering I'm so lost I don't even know what is there to clarify... Do what you want.

I just want this out of my hair. :P

@Kawalorn @Kit Ballard Right then, some clarification on what i said. And another hint since i don't think I can clarify enough without it.

When i mentioned restarting from the beginning, i mean restarting the game or going through the exit to refresh the game state. One of the pieces of the puzzle can be lost, likely without you even realizing you needed it. However, you don't need to worry about ruining your chance on the way to the boss, who is manditory.

Does anyone else think the wall above the axe look a bit suspicious?

I feel like it has something to do with the boulder you can demon run through, based on Gamaniac's hint. I can't figure out any other way to interact with it, though.

is close to the room where you get the axe? I was wondering why a golden golem would spawn there after defeating the boss

Just to clarify, you can't mess up your chance at all on your playthrough to the boss, but you can after you climb out of the pit?

The only things that comes to mind that you can lose are vines, enemies, and rocks once you climb out of the pit.

Does this involve juggling a dead body...? i may have an idea that I've been trying but I keep hitting the wrong button after the fight, as I know one fight that's almost impossible to dodge (but you could totally dodge it if you tried hard enough)

I wonder if the second sighting of Roti locks or unlocks anything.

Responding to the people asking.

Correct.

No.

*chin stroke* uh huh...

No.
you ignored my comment so I'll assume I was close and will be blaming you for the impending PTSD I'm going to have from searching that one room

I found wall in the first room with vines where the camera zooms into the wall, the way Metroid does when you go into walls, but starting to think it might just be a bug.

..... there was a fix?
Mike is continuing his tradition of saying he's not going to do something, then doing it. The public version has some fixes.

uhg.. where was it sa--- Know what.. never mind.. stupid shitty internet keeping me behind on every bloody thing..

Ok what all did it fix?

@Kit Ballard
- Ajna now keeps dash speed after landing from a jump, provided she was moving
sufficiently fast when she landed. Dash-jumping and walljumping both provide
enough speed. (Repeatedly jumping without allowing her to take any steps between
jumps will slow her down too much to keep dash speed. Jumping up slopes also slows
her down depending on the slope.)
- Enemy placement and difficulty has been improved in various ways.

- Ajna can no longer axe-hang from vines, she will always cut them.

- Fixed a bug that would occasionally cause you to lose a turn without attacking
after doing an Up attack with the axe, directly against a wall, in battle.
- Fixed the position of a later spawnpoint.
- Changed the archive format from RAR to ZIP, because ZIP is more widely supported.
- Added this section to the README, ending with something for everyone who supports us:

Hm, so I guess you can break it using the Run power. The 2 things we can break are only the walls and that one rock near the boss.

Or perhaps an enemy that spawns only after you beat the boss.

yay for a 4 hour download T~T If only I could get my plan's Uncapped data plan, I'd be happier.. it's only $30 more then what it's already being paid for (so $60 plan)

edit: yup. called it.

Played it some more just now. The Spoiled Nectar is looking mighty tempting, I must say.

I tried to start some fights in the courtyard with the nearby Ahps before Roti runs away. I figured if she saw her master was in trouble, she might hop in to help out somehow. Ajna got knocked back directly into Roti, half dead at that point, and the little thing still ran off. "Oof! Ugh not again!"

Also tried bringing a nearby Ahp into the first secret room to see what happened. It's too tall and can't fit into the stairwell. Hard life.

I did finally manage to get that Ogre into into the other building though. Brought him down the vertical shaft and into the main room. He rolled around, had a good time, and didn't do shit. Screw that guy.

So now all of my old ideas are dead-ends, but I guess I kinda expected that. Gotta try to think outside the box without stepping out of the box...

FFS, not without the AXE, without using axe hang. Because the stuck one is telling you to (learn to) hang there. That's the first time you need to hang.

Just spill the beans already, I can't go to sleep without seeing this.

I think i've helped a bit much already, i'll be sitting on this for a while to see who else gets it.

Misread your post, sorry.
Haven't slept in a long time, make mistakes.

I'm afraid of destroying/killing anything now for fear that I have to start the level over lol

You don't have to worry about that, I'll give you that much help.

Well back to square one

so I was searching the room where you find the axe and found a glitch I believe?
after the boss, a golden golem spawns in the middle of that room, I tried moving him to the left side of the room by engaging the fight from the right and fleeing multiple times. His position also wouldn't reset upon death, and when he was on the left hand side of the room, I dashed all the way to the right.

And for some weird reason, the moment Ajna would transform (very close to the right side wall) it would appear that I would hit the golden golem on the far left side of the room, with the hit sound and him being knocked back towards the middle of the room.
