Since the planning of SCR has been a total mess this year, and since other majors are closing in that actually have respect for this game, I'm kinda checking to see if people are actually even invested in wanting to go. Cause I mean, if most people aren't planning on going, then I'm just gonna hit up CEOtaku instead.

gonna hit up CEOtaku instead

Is that choice for financial reasons? Because the dates don't actually conflict. CEOtaku is the weekend after SCR.

I will not be able to attend SCR. Already made plans for that weekend ages ago. I do know that @Dawn111 has been looking forward to competing in SG at SCR for a long time.

My major qualm with SCR is that despite being a somewhat expensive event to attend, they generally don't devote staff to games that they feature (main or not), and rely on people from the community to do pretty much everything.

I think it would be silly for SoCal SG to skip out on a regional tourney and not at LEAST do the same numbers Salty gets, but it's still an expensive event. :P

The choice is for what's more worth my money, time-off request, and time spent with people.

I haven't been a fan of how SCR has been planned, and I also would much rather go to a place that's going the extra mile to support SG, rather than tack it on at the end. I also really don't think my work would just let me request a weekend off and then request the next one off as well.

Also, if a vast majority of people have no intention of showing up to SCR, then I have no interest in going, since the people attending basically make up the main reason for me to go to majors.

Oh, and my wallet's gonna be feeling it after one major or the other, so I'm pretty much banking on just one option here.

Biz Casual and I will not be attending SCR. Beamsprouts will be in Georgia the previous week and is therefore unable to get the time off from work. Jayford said he may go.

I am very sorry that NorCal is not attending SCR this year. Biz Casual and I both have a super busy college quarter. I'm saving up for a car and am still trying to attend NEC because I have not seen McPeanuts, Keninblack, and Warped in almost a year. Beamsprouts is busy enough as is with just work, and he starts classes in two weeks.

A combination of the event being poorly planned, changing dates, expensive, me trying to get a car, me trying to get my associates, going too long without seeing everyone on the east coast, and the fact that NEC is a more competitive tournament lead up to this decision from me.

I wonder how opinions of this event would have changed if SG was included in one of the SCR Preludes. It still perplexes me as to why Valle would choose DFC over games like SG and UNIEL for the last one.

If SCR for Skullgirls is not happening this year, I'm looking for someone who can take me to CEOtaku, even though I never been to Florida. The main reason why I prefer SCR is because I live pretty close there, and other ones besides EVO are too far.

I still would not be attending. The Preludes were at really awkward times for me.

I'm not quite talking about attending Preludes specifically. I'm just trying to use his exclusion of SG from the Preludes as a metric for how much Valle cares for/is aware of a proven community that is pretty much in his backyard.

It's not a good look if you ask me.

I will be ditching SCR and going to Salty on the 2nd instead.

SCR took too long to put up their dates and I would rather go to salty I think anyways.

Between Cali and NEC I think that'l be it for tournaments for me until next year.

I'd love to do SCR if anyone else is going, but I can't say I'm too motivated to head out there just to go 0-2 in USF4.
