Introduce Yourself!

Hello!

I'm Chivibro, I play all kinds of games, but fighting games are pretty much absent from my library. I'm studying game design, so I thought its high time I picked up some fighting games, since I've been playing games I would previously pass. I thought I could immediately start analyzing these games, but I had some trouble understanding how to play them. I'm now finally understanding what they're all about, but I'm still pretty bad at them. Right now I have Street Fighter 4, ultra Street Fighter 4, Skullgirls, Tekken 6, and I've had several Tekken games and the original Smash Bros, but I haven't really played those much. Oh, and I'm definitely gonna get Street Fighter 5 when its out!

Skullgirls is the first game I can really play with other people, since I don't got Xbox Live, so I'm really excited to learn this game! I'm pretty much a beginner, but I'd be happy to play anyone from any skill level! Feel free to add me on Steam, I'm not too hard to find!

Hello everyone, big fan from Mexico.
Im not a very good player but im training to become better
i hope i can get along with all and learn a lot of stuff.

Hey everyone

I'm a fresh fighting game player from the UK. New to Skullgirls (loving it right now!), mostly has experience playing Super Smash Bros. Melee. Very curious to see how deep my rabbit hole goes in this game. Learning it right now, so feel free to add me.

I'm probably a intermediate skullgirls player whose been playing the game for a while and im still practising to do certain moves in the game, but i absolutely love the characters and animations in this game; im not really too into fighting games so you could probably call me a casual fighting game player.

Skullgirls is probably the first and only fighting game i'm actually good at (others i just spam special moves and hope to win) but one thing i ask for continuously if, if they were to make a sequel (which may or may not be likely) would they have a canon story with all the characters together in one story (e.g Mortal Kombat 9/X. SSBB etc)

But Skullgirls in general is an amazing fighting game with a group of very unique characters to choose from; I hope it grows into something bigger in the future

Hi, I am InFireX and I had this game since 2013 when Squigly DLC was still free. I liked the game back then, but I was never serious enough to do proper training, so I dropped it. Despite that, I booted it up everytime when a new character DLC came out to try it out. In the last 6 months, I got interested in fighting games when I bought USFIV and it impressed me how it was simple to play, yet complex as a whole. Unfortunately, its lifespan is at the end, so I made a decision to switch to Skullgirls while I wait for a (probable) purchase of SFV or even the new version of GG Xrd.

At the moment, I'm considering having Filia/Painwheel/Double in my 3-member team and I just started training with Filia. The team may change in the future.

I live in Slovenia, which makes me a Europe (East) region. My Steam name is the same as the name I have here on Skullheart, so hit me up to train together, fellow beginners. The better players are also welcome.

Hello forum. (Oh god, that sounds awkward). I go by Skodial, and this is the very first time I've tried any kind of fighting game. I live in the U.S., on the west coast. I've only played for about 10 hours, but I really like the game.

Here is my Steam profile:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/doctorheare/

After attempting some online play yesterday (it wasn't pretty), I've returned to the tutorials...where I'm stuck. Being a sim racer, I definitely feel lost in this genre. For now, I'm just trying to understand how fighting games work.

I've never used any kind of internet forum before. So if I ever do something incorrectly, please kindly direct me in the right direction

Hey guys, My name's Takatoshii, i'm the type of guy who likes fighting games, but can't really be a really good player because i have to keep studying and other stuff. (the normal.) I've been playing skullgirls for quite some time now, and just found out about the forum! (yeah.) weel, i said that i played it for that much time but i'm kind of coming back, and all the new characters really made me surprised! (i'm looking at you, Robo fortune.)

Back on the squigly days i played with fillia and ms. Fortune, but now i'm more of a beowulf and parasoul guy. if you are new to the game or maybe just want someone to practice, just PM me, or add me on Steam!

Hello guys. Been interested in Skullgirls from the first time I saw it like 3 years ago. However, just now got the chance to purchase the game and run through its entire training mode. From the moment I booted the game and seen how neat the game looks & plays I knew I had been missing out this entire time. Not much to say so i'm gonna end it here. I own the game for XBL and my gamertag is "envyJayR" for anyone interested in having some matches. (preferably other beginners for now)

Hello all! My name is Lucien, and I only recently gotten into fighting games, with Skullgirls being my first! I've been playing for a while now, and I'm hoping to get better at the game and hope to make as many friends as I possibly can while I'm here! Please, feel free to add me and such if you wish to experiment or help me learn.

Hay hay,

Yh, I used the SH fourms a lot bc I wanted to see colour palette references. I came back frequently so I just decided to make an account here.

It was really hard to pick the three characters, I've gotten used to 5 in total. Still suck at it ~(~_~)~.
Real name is Sebastian, no nicknames pls. I get enough of those.
I'm also gay as S***. Just so you know (~>_>)~. I play Skullgirls constantly. 123 hours in total. If you want to go against me (you'll probably win), my username on steam is "Sometimes You Shouldn't Care". With an Bad Girl Online profile pic. The community seems nice. I'm open to other games with people. Just messege me on steam and I'll see what I can do ~(~_~)~.

How's it going, boyos. I don't even like video games at all but I've gotten hooked on this one for real. Messed around with a few Tekkens here and there but I think I found this one to be the most non-nerd friendly in terms of controls. Unapologetic keyboard masher as of right now, but I'm hoping to scrape off some tips and trix from the heels of this site's boots. Ultimate goal is to be so good at this game I could actually kick a nerd's head OFF. I'm not even stressed, though. Anyway, nice to be here.

Yo, Im KrystalFire. I use a joystick and I wanna learn how to use Valentine and Parasoul. I really like fighting games even if i suck at them xD. I play TTT2 and Smash bros on WiiU and SFXT on xbox360. Hope we can be friends :)

I am the great and almighty Tardation. I use a keyboard, because the only other conventional fighter I've played is UMvC2 at an arcade, and I like how reminiscent it is. The only fighting game I've played competitively is SM4SH, but I heard most of the fighting game commune doesn't respect it so... Just throwing that out there. I seem to be progressing... decently. I have not gotten perfect killed yet (Isn't the term JV?) and I main peacock. My style has always been to pick someone with options and go from there. I feel my main weakness is entering without an assist, and I'm near useless at singles. When I get a teammate, I can not make a fool of myself.

What's up guys!?

My steam handle is Tom Hammerschmidt, and Skullgirls is my first traditional fighting game apart from Smash (I played Smash 4 and Project M casually for about a year, have been attending Melee tournaments for a year).

So far, this game is a BLAST. Currently 107 hours in and loving every single minute of it. As I procrastinate for my final exam studying by writing this intro, I currently am not playing the game as much as I would like to. Once exams are over, I want to try and seriously improve myself as a competitive player while trying to get new players into the game. Probably going to make a training diary on here, too.

Feel free to friend me on here or add me on steam if you want to help me learn or just play some games and body me.

Hello, the name is Chainz.

This is my first "fighting game", kinda. I have played extensively in competitive smash games. I am a serious competitor and super smash bros. for Wii U, but have retired from Melee (gotta look after my hands, man).

My alias and tag for Smash (and Pokken) has been Mew - 2Chainz, but alas, Mewtwo isn't in a fighting game that I play! So I have decided to cut the name short to my nickname: Chainz. Feel free to call me Mew - 2Chainz though. ;)

I haven't really dabbled with a traditional fighter for a while now, but have decided to do so now.

This game is pretty fun. I enjoy the art style, music, and characters a lot. I think I'm gonna try to play this game competitively too.

Names Josh, from New York! Was only introduced to this game solely because Sony gave it away for FREE on PS+ a long while ago. Ever since then I was astounded by the beauty of everything, the art, animation, music, characters and everything else. As a NewYorker born and raised I appreciated all the theatrical drama approach that I felt from this game. IMO I think Skullgirls has a spot on Broadway!

Hello!

My name is Luka and I just recently gotten into fighting games, I have no idea if Smash Bros counts though. I've been raised in the U.S my entire life and as of now I'm going to be a freshman in highschool. Until then, I want to have as much time playing one of my favorite fighters of all time: Skullgirls. I've always liked the art style and gameplay because no other fighter really stuck with me like it did. So I hope I can build my skill here with the help of everyone.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Hey I'm Connor, but Krownor pretty much everywhere online. I'm a PC player and pretty new. I don't have much experience with fighting games, but Skullgirls is fun. I'm American and in the Midwest at the moment.

Hi guys!

My names is Lucas and I'm from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I'm playing in Xbox Live (360 and One). I liked fighting games, like MK and SF and I play Skullgirls since 1 week ago. The game is good and very beautiful and I'm really loving that combination of a good fighting game and a good artistic project that see in Skullgirls.

Since I got the game, I'm try to search for others players for a online match, but I dont found anyone, only a 3 or 4 people (pro player level, by the way) when I try the luck to found him, but in most time, anybody still playing.

I'm would liked if we get a good number of xbox players and maybe we go to play online. I dont know the cause of little number of xbox's players (I think it's the not released of 2nd Encore for Xbox One, but now we have the Skullgirls of Xbox 360 backward compatibility with Xbox One. This is not more excuse, but the dream of 2nd Encore in One still alive.)

Anyway, my gamertag is: Lucasddst. And my english knowledge is a little good, but to talk it's tragic and I prefer not talk when I play with guys of others country, just listening :P

Hi I'm Malik, I'm fairly new to Skullgirls but I main double and also I main robo fortune I'm on ps4 @ATW_XANAX and I really want to learn this game

Hi guys,
My names Till and I'm a new player from Germany. Skullgirls is my very first fighting game so I'm still struggling with the basics of gameplay. I've played through the tutorial and Storymode on Nightmare with Parasoul, but once I go online I'm getting completely obliterated. If anyone wants to fight against another beginner feel free to add me on steam.

Hi, I'm S-Dell. I play a variety of fighting games, but the ones I haven't ever really gotten used to are the faster paced ones with aerial combos and assists. I decided I should step up my game and learn with Skullgirls since I play it off and on. I watched the tournaments at Northwest Majors 7 and 8, and figured maybe I could join in on the fun. Gotta get learning and stuff!

Also, you may or may not recognize me from physically lurking in the back of streams during NWM.

Should I copy paste my post from the PSN beginner's matchmaking board, or start a new post?

Hi, Elcheer here.
(From Brooklyn, New York)
I'm somewhat experienced in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS, but Skullgirls is my first traditional fighter I remember playing. I use a keyboard for Skullgirls because I don't have money to be buying an arcade fight stick.

ALL ABOUT THAT SOLO BEOWULF.

Other games I care about:
Rocket League
TF2 (barely)
osu!

Hi, non-competitive PS3 and Steam player from the eastern U.S. I go by Enzeruanimefan on both platforms, but I mostly play on PS3 because my laptop is a bit of a hassle. I love Beowulf, though I have some other faves like Peacock and Ms. Fortune (because puns are great). On Steam, I have all characters and palettes, but on PS3, I think I just have the wulf and Robo-F. Feel free to hit me up and kick my butt ^^;

P.S. I also draw and am very gay for Beo

P.P.S. I'm also very shy and am not the best at conversation

Hey. I am a new Skullgirls player. I just bought the game last night and have yet to even play yet (I will be trying it out this evening) I have been playing fighting games casually my whole life (With MK, MK2 and Primal rage being my first as a kid) but just recently started playing somewhat seriously last year.

I have never played a fighter like this though. I have never played a MVC game, a Blazblu game, or a Guilty Gear game. Pretty much any game with teams, assists and air dashes I have never tried. I mainly play Killer Instinct right now, but I also have and play MKX and SFV a bit too. I consider my self a mediocre player.

I have heard about SG quite a bit, and as an MK guy I hear Sonicfox talk about it but I never tried it. I recently decided I wanted to get into Darkstalkers, but I couldn't get it on PS4, then I remembered about this game and I loved how it looked and the quirkiness about it and decided to give it a try.

Heya, I'm QuotedTactics, but I'd prefer if you just call me Quote. I'd call myself an intermediate player of Skullgirls (and most fighting games) but I still need to learn a lot more combos. I mainly use Peacock and Fukua, and I'm semi-decent with Robo-Fortune (but I still need to work a lot on her). I also enjoy drawing, if that matters.

Note: I usually don't get too salty when I play and lose against someone

hello!! i'm willow! i've been playing skullgirls on pc for almost a year and i've loved every second of it. i tend to play as solo double but recently i've also picked up peacock and beowulf.
i like to think i'm pretty good at this game but honestly i'm pretty sure any experienced player could kick my butt. i've memorized maybe one or two combos for double and that's about it. i'm definitely up for trying, though, if anyone wants to play a match with me!

uhh i'm also super into don't starve, steven universe, and overwatch! if you're into any or all of those things feel free to hmu and we can chat. i'm kind of a shy person tho so... be warned...

I have lurked for FAR TOO LONG!

The name's Soluden since I always wanted to use a unisex name!
Yes, I'm a girl and yes I play video games! I actually knew about this game before 2nd Encore but never played vanilla....:(

Anyways, I main solo Squigly (stupid decision) and any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hey what's up? I'm extremely new to Skullgirls and I found this site from a few videos, I played skullgirls once on a friends laptop and really enjoyed my time playing but I never got around to buying it. Well I finally did on PS4 because that's what my stick is compatible with but I'm hooked! I grew up playing 3rd Strike, Darkstalkers and MvC2. I instantly fell in love with Beowulf because he is (too me at least) a beautiful fusion of literally every single one of my favorite childhood fighting game characters, plus you lnow HYPE.
Anyways I hope to be seeing everyone on the forums!

What up guys, I'm True_Tech, long time fighting game player in various anime games and street fighter. I played early vanilla skullgirls but the small cast and the fact that double assist was so prevalent made the game boring real fast and I gave up on it. Watching the game at combo breaker really got me interested and I like where the game is at now. I really feel like this is the game mvc3 should have been, fast paced, lots of resets, and some cheap stuff but you get a chance to play. Right now I'm eyeing playing valentine squigly and big band. any help is appreciated as I'm pretty much coming into the game brand new again. Thanks.
