Introduce Yourself!

Howdy! My name is Kimbone, and I am an avid supporter of Skullgirls!

I have been playing video games for as long as I can remember, but I only recently really got into fighting games, mostly thanks to the great tutorial in Skullgirls. Feel more than free to add me on Steam; I like to think I am a decent guy, and I certainly never rage (especially since I currently have the fighting skills of a punching bag :p).

Right now I am going to college for Electrical Engineering, so I only get to play every so often. But that's the best part about fighting games! You can play for a bit and still feel like you did something.

Hi!

Name's Bai. I come from a different field, MMOs, and have recently picked up Skullgirls. I kind of already love this game after 2 weeks. I mainly play Fortune.
Aside Skullgirls, not much of games I enjoy, though SF4:AE is one of the games I plan to play soon too.

I'm known as TheGrinningMan on Steam, and I'm no stranger to viciously unforgiving indie games (e.g. Dungeon Crawl, Super Meat Boy, I Wanna Be The Guy, Dwarf Fortress). Which is good, since it's taught me how to lose with grace and dignity. I find myself doing that a lot... but progressively less. I play Squigly/Peacock at present, but I'm experimenting with adding a third member to that roster.

This seems like a great place to start.

So I'm Bit Strife, wonder what gave that away. I'm a Pad player on the PS3 from NorCal. I play Skullgirls, UMvC3 and Divekick. Really helps that those are the only ones I currently own. But I'd be willing to try just about any fighting game.

I'm in the horrible mesh area of better than all yours friends at Skullgirls, but so much worse than real players. I'm not a beginner and could use improvement, but it's hard to get practice in with people. If anyone would like to play online sometime I'd love to. Just message me. Wish I had the Steam version, but not just yet. Have to hold out for Squigly until the console patch then. Boohoo.

I am Jamarrie
I like things like games, comic books, music, yugioh and art
I make stuff, like comics, animation, music, 3d modelling, website design and currently learning how to use C++
I am a low lv relationship human (I always said I was gonna get better at it...never got around to doing it)
...
And that should be enough for an introduction WHAT'S GOOD WITH IT

I'm PKStoopKid, a warrior who lives in the make believe land of New Jersey.

I've been playing Fighting Games since I was 5, but didn't start learning the mechanics till I was 18. An artist, (Though I haven't earned the title yet) I spend most of my time drawing even at work in hopes to get my own cartoon series one day. I learnt about Skullgirls by accident after looking up old Street Fighter videos and was hooked by the art more so than the fighting. After playing the game, I became more interested in the story while enjoying both the art and fighting aspect equally. While I won't say I'm supreme at the game, I am at an intermediate level and just like Akuma, I am always searching for more challenges which led to my resolve of moving out to California, to challenge the players of Salty Cupcakes...also I believe it would greatly help my art career.

Hello everyone

I'm Brandon Thompson and I've been a fan of skullgirls for 2 years and although I'm not that good at the game, I still love it and usually play it. I also like anime, spending time with my pals and that's all I have to say really

I don't think there is an introduction sub-forum, so I'm posting here if it's okay with you guys.

Hi, I'm new, and I enjoy Ms. Fortune and Peacock.
My friend introduced me to this game via the Xbox Version, and ever since, I stalked the game till the PC version came out because I lost my PS3, and all my Xboxs Red-Ringed.
I heard that this community is mature though, so I'll try to be my best.

Hey there! I'm Arachenox (Just call me Arach. Nobody can pronounce my name properly so I don't mind), I'm male and I'm from Germany. I'm an artist (nah, not really. I don't consider myself an artist) and I just got the game yesterday from a friend, so I'm not too good at the game yet, but I've been doing pretty well with Ms.Fortune and Valentine...on normal that is. Haven't tried any of the harder difficulties yet. I haven't tried the online mode either because I know I'll just get horribly murdered at this point. I've never been good at fighting games so.

Anyway, enough Skullgirls talk, let's mention a few other things aswell, shall we?

Other than Skullgirls I'm playing mostly Shooters, Racing games or RTS games (What's the plural of RTS anyway? RTS' ? RTS's ? I don't even know..) and listen to Metal in the process. I'm usually a pretty approachable guy and I tend to help out people if possible, so if you need somebody to listen to you about your IRL problems, just drop me a friends request on steam if you like.

Anyway, that's enough for now I think. (Wow, and I though I was bad at writing introductions. This here is quite a wall of text already.)
If you have any further questions about me, just pm me or something. I'll most likely answer it.

Hey guys. I'm a casual non-owner player that will shell out the dough when the *nix+OpenGL version [for Linux, not OSX :P] gets out. I liked the game when I played on my brother-in-law's PS3 and was shocked when I learned that a Linux version was planned. It's taking a while, though, so I'm being patient :P {hell, I'd help if I could}

Aside from that... I'm on Google+ and you probably saw me spam once or twice if you're on there. I'd apologize, except I won't.

Hello! My name's Raikon. My first fighting game was KOF 1999 Dream Match for the Sega Dreamcast about 12 years ago, but I've only been consistently playing fighting games for 2-3 years. I play anything I can get my hands on, but my favourites are Skullgirls, Blazblue, and Persona 4 Arena.

My real life mainly consists of studying computer programming, in which I'll be getting my diploma at the end of this year. Besides fighting games I play mostly strategy games and puzzle games (my childhood was Tetris Attack, Puyo Pop, and Puzzle Bobble).

Feel free to add my steam if you want. I hope to have a good time here!

Hello! My name is Dead_Man and I'm a pad player on PS3. I've always liked fighting games but was terrible at them as a kid. It wasn't until SF4 came out when I started playing them consistently and understanding how they work. I'm still not very good but it doesn't bother me too much since I have a lot of fun playing them. I've played a lot of fighters since then but some of my favorites are Skullgirls, UMvC3 and Blazblue.

Hi, I am Uzumakihero (Yes, once upon a time, I really liked Naruto. Like, a lot, a lot.) from Massachusetts. Played the game since release but I am still ass at it (getting there son!). Discovered that sick nasty Stomp loop that has been removed (Mike why ;___;) and created a beginner parasoul guide for players interested in said character, but is mostly for the steam newcomers. Skullhearts is like fams, you hear.

I'm Grimsley, I'm trying to get back into this game and relearn it, and I'm still waiting for Squigly's console release...

Hey ya'll, I'm scoot.

I've been playing Skullgirls since the PC beta came out, this game is probably one of the few fighters I've really been able to sink my teeth into I'm not entirely sure why as it's very similar in gameplay to other 2D fighters but I think the thing that really makes me love this game is that it doesn't take itself all that serious and has tones of hilarity in it.

I mainly play Valentine and from time to time I swap between Cerebella and Peacock.

If you're an Australian/Oceanic player you can find me hanging out in the Oceanic skullgirls steam group where a bunch of other awesome kids reside as well.

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SGAUTZ

Please jump on in if you are Oceanic because they're great guys and are always looking for more competition and players to discuss the game with.

Other than that some interests of mine are; Basketball, Running, Drawing and Anime. That's my interests in a nutshell.

If you want give me a add on steam, I'm always happy to have some SG players to talk with.

Hi everyone. Normally, my username is SgtMumbles, but I picked Squigly for here because that's really my favorite character overall. Also, I like to RP a bit, although I'm not great at acting as a character yet...

I've played Skullgirls since PC Beta, starting about a week before the full launch. And really, I only got the game because a friend kept bugging me about getting it for them. Eventually, I caved and figured "what the heck" and got a 2-pack so I could play with them.

I don't really like fighting games a whole lot, mostly because I play games for the stories. But Skullgirls...it has really well-done gameplay, and the characters have more depth to them than simply why they're fighting eachother.

Sorry...rambling. Anyway, I'd really just like to talk with people a bit, maybe even play a few rounds (even though I'm not that good yet...)

TheGoggledGamer here I come from a huge verity of fighting game with like 0 actual experience in them as I never get involved with communities until Skullgirls. I have a mixed fighting game history from MvC2, Rage of the Dragons (in an arcade very little exp), SF2, Dalkstalkers(same as RotD), Soul Calibur II(xbox), Smash Bros., Sonic the Fighters, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I'm OK can't fight good players good against other OK players.

I'm gllt

Been playing Skullgirls since I bought it on steam for my laptop.

Played some SSF4AE before that. But I had relatively no idea what I was doing.

I'm learning.

I don't have proper home internet yet, but when I do, I want to try online matches.

I don't have a stick, I play with my mini 360 controller.

I'm bad at fighting game lingo.

And playing Parasoul or Painwheel.

Hi.

Just got interested with Skullgirls so I bought the game on Steam while it's still in Beta. I've been playing other games like SFxT, Mortal Kombat, and KOF XIII and so far this game has the best transition experience that I have since ditching the keyboard in favor of the fightstick (maybe because my character has low execution?). It also has the most playable netcode in Steam.

Skullgirls is the best, no doubt, can't deny, tastes better than noodles, but don't ask me why.

But seriously, the name is Wackyman, but you can call me Wacky. I'm a big fan of Skullgirls and have been playing the game a lot more recently since a lot of my friends got the PC version. Got myself a not bad Peacock/Filia combo going on and hope to find some good matches here.

Here's to Skullgirls's continued growth!

Hello, I am DesertACU. I mainly lurk, but occasionally post. Been following Skullgirls since console release, but never actually played it until the PC Beta.

Hi, I'm Hyperaxe1!
I've mostly been watching this form from the shadows and posting all of once ;)
I got the game about a month ago (about the start of MDE) and I'm currently on a pretty bad keyboard (you'll hear me complain about it all the time (no really it's terrible))
I also draw stuff, make videos, stream skullgirls in amazing 360p 20fps (Australian internet woo yeah)

Here, take a video

Hi!

Some of you guys might remember me from the time when we didn't need to make whole new accounts.

I'm a nerd, who loves anime, comic books, RPG's, all sorts of movies, fighting games, Let's Play's, TGWTG.com (although not as much as I used to(I still think that they are awesome though)) the 80's and 90's, the Internet, amazon.com, politics, Yugioh (I hate most of Zexal though. I love Astral, the Number cards, and Xyz monsters, though) TMNT, Nicholas Cage, Simon Pegg, and much, much, MUCH MORE.

Some of my favorite video games include Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 4 Arena (I don't play P4A as much as I should, though.) Skullgirls, Dragon Age 2 (although that particular passion could stem from my love of politics.) Alot of Quantic dreams games (I've never played them, but I've seen enough LP's of their games.) Blazblue, Mortal Kombat, Injustice, Batman Arkham Asylum, X-men origins Wolverine the video game, Deadly Premonition (again, a game that I love almost soley because of the let's plays I've seen) Infamous 1 and 2, Sly Cooper 1 and 2 (Didn't care for 3, and I haven't played 4.) and so on and so forth.

My favorite movie is Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. I'm not going to talk about all of the movies I love, because this is a Video Game forum and I've wasted enough time with my hobbies and such. I might talk about the I like movies if I am asked, though.

My favorite Skullgirls characers are Squigly, Parasoul, Hive, Feng, Stanley, Eliza, and Leduc.

The Skullgirls Indiegogo campaign was one of the most inspirational things that I have ever seen in my life.

It's great to meet you all!

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention this, but I have Aspergers.

Oh man, should I? Eh why not.
I'm mostly referred to as 'Water' and I'm an Australian player of Skullgirls, although I'm mostly an artist.
I have an art thread and an art blog (NSFW)

I mostly found Skullgirls by coincidence and ever since I picked it up, I've been addicted to the damn game.

oh also I love Squigly, gimmie the booty.
Its nice to meet you, WaterMystic277!

I agree with what you said about Squigly's rear. It is very nice.

Well, guess i should have started here.
I'm Agent J, not to be confused with Agent J from Men in Black. I study Graphic Design.
As you can guess, I'm a big fan of rhythm games, stuff like Rhythm Heaven, Elite Beat Agents, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, BIT.TRIP series, etc.
But i like all genres in general, i'd say platforms are my favorite kind of games.
As for what i like to watch, well, i watch an episode of everything i get interested in, and if i like it, i keep watching it. My favorite series include My name is Earl, Burn Notice, Black Books, Scrubs, etc. Same with anime and cartoons. I like Gravity Falls, Sgt. Frog, Regular Show, Monster, Superjail, etc
I've been playing skullgirls since launch, except for a short time when i dropped because the game was... well... not very alive.
I like skullgirls because of the quality of the designs and animation.
Fighting games are something i grew up with, specially King of Fighters, since me and my brother used to play it a lot.
Well, i guess that's it, unless someone has a question...
